I’ve had Subnautica in my cart for over two years after reading about how amazing it’s supposed to be. Almost pulled the trigger many times but never have. Only thing that’s stopping me is that I really dislike first person shooter view. I like to see my full character. For example on Skyrim I just can’t play it on first person view. I suck at it. Need to see my guy to see what I’m doing., I fear I’ll run into a similar problem w Subnautica being first person view too. Any thoughts on that? It is solely first person. It's not really a shooter though. I don't know if that makes any difference for you but the main focus of the game is exploration and survival. So, it's not like you're lining up headshots or anything like that. I can't imagine the claustrophobia and scares having the same effect if you were in 3rd person. I'm not a competitive gamer at this point. I don't play anywhere near enough to be competitive so a game like this, where I can drop in mess around for 30 minutes, make a little progress and then come back to it again when I have some time again... it's pretty perfect for me. Very interesting. Skyrim is my fix for all that right now but I may have to give it a try. Just hearing way too many good things now including your review. |

The one thing that can be tough about the Evercade handheld is Firmware updating via a computer, but I got a new Laptop where I can do these updates and the latest version worked and the Save States now show the time played. When the Evercade VS home console is released in November, the system has WiFi built in and Firmare will be updated and that firmware for both systems updates the chips on the cartridges, which is pretty cool. I've been playing a game that has several different action platforms called Ultimate Stuntman, what a pretty cool game and that is on the Codemasters Collection. Another fun game is on the Mega Cat Studios Collection2 cart and that is Dev Will Too, which is a neat scroller...
