Thanks Pete! Yes, Paul Barnes drew both El Pantera Negro and Tex Remington at his kitchen table before we went to see UFC #3 in Charlotte. Good to see Akuma mentioned prominently, as Steve Minskoff really got the bootleg ball rolling with that. Another fairly early bootleg I recall being a hot property was Crow, although I never had the original and have no clue who was behind it. Wait....you created El Pantera Negro?? That’s the guy I was thinking about. Awesome card,

Tex Remington's an all-time fave of mine, and has done well in my bootleg fed. Solar Hawk is yet another of my all-time fave's, and is also a legend in my bootleg fed. Akuma is gaining steam, especially with the latest color rendition. Now, here's a name some of you may remember: The Sensational Sonny Owens, from Dale Blomquist's sets. Sonny is arguably the greatest wrestler in my bootleg fed's history, and was just a fun card, from the stats to the great drawing. Hope some of you managed to get ol' Sonny for your collections too! I got Sonny Owens! I have some, not all of Dale's stuff! Wish I found more back in the day! ☹️

I remember Sonny Owens! I used him in a stable with Sean Hunter and Chris Chandler!

I know at some point I befriended a promoter named Adam Skepaniak who ran an entire fed of bootlegs and I was like can I get some bootlegs and he sent me like 30 cards that all were really cool including previously mentioned Crow, Dogma and others. And in real nice cardstock and everything. Not sure what happened to him or if any of his bootlegs have been mentioned. Yup, Adam sent out some prolific packages back in the day. While I do enjoy the ease of use the internet allows there was always something special about the giant stuffed envelopes from fellow promoters. Between his mail and the large full sheets Jamie would send mail day was often a very fun day. Haven't heard from Adam in years
