Some interesting selections this year everyone.
Lets get the go home week of action underway...
Jack Brisco (9) v. Vampiro (17)
Vampiro gets into the face of Morgan Dollar before the bell and his actions appear to shake up the official. Vampiro scores with an early spinning round kick but Brisco is able to recover and goes to work including a suplex assault and kneebreakers. Vampiro goes to the floor to create some space but Brisco comes out after him. It is a mistake as Brisco tastes the ring post moments later and is busted open. A head butt really opens up the laceration and the fans are frantic. Whip but Brisco reverses and then follows with a kick. Deep arm drags and dropkicks keep Vampiro on the defensive. Vertical suplex is followed by a gut wrench suplex. Brisco cover for a ½ count (R7/P1). Kneebreaker and Vampiro hits a jumping back kick. Vampiro attacks with kicks and a fireman’s carry slam. A spinning round kick is avoided and Brisco takes over with a deep arm drag followed by a perfect drokick. Lateral guillotine and dropkick. Three consecutive kneebreakers have Vamprio hobbling. Power slam, another kneebreaker and a back suplex score. Brisco attacks the leg with a jumping knee drop and another kneebreaker. Back to back spinning round kicks gets Vampiro back into the match but their impact is limited after the attack on his leg. A Jumping back kick misses and Brisco counters back with a dropkick. 1, kick out (R8/P2). Jumping knee drop and another dropkick puts Vampiro down. Brisco applied a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Vampiro rolls over for the reversal (R8/P5) and Brisco is in the in the ropes. ROLLING REVERSE CRADLE. 1, 2, kick out (R6/P4). Brisco with a power slam . . . Vampiro drops behind and chops. One handed bulldog bounces Brisco off the mat. Cut is opened up again. Spinning mule kick misses. Brisco picks up Vampiro for powerslam . . . countered. Brisco whipped into the corner. Vampiro charges and Brisco counters with a lariat! FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK . . .middle of the ring and it is over. (R3/P7).
Big Van Vader (4) v Dynamite Kid (21) is next.

Nice to see Brisco advance. Much as I like DK, Go Vader.

Well, now that Vampiro is out of the running, I'm gonna have to adjust my pick to take it all... Going with Jack Brisco over Killer Kowalski in the final... Let the good times roll!

Credit Vampiro for a gutsy performance against Jack Brisco. It would have been cool to see Vampiro win but Brisco is really tough to beat. I'm calling an upset in Dynamite Kid vs. Vader as well. I feel like DK can really give the big man a battle plus there is always that DQ possibility. Should be a fun bout.
