Big Van Vader (4) v Dynamite Kid (21)

Vader is literally double the size of his opponent as they step into the ring. Kid attempts a forearm that is just absorbed by Vader who fires back with a big boot to the face. Vader misses a dropkick and Kid hits a front dropkick followed by a gut wrench suplex . . . RING SHAKES. OMG! Falling head butt but no one is home. Vader goes for a power slam but Kid drops behind and lands a front dropkick. Vader is rebounded into a back elbow. Knee drop is on target and another front dropkick downs Vader. Gut wrench suplex. Cover . . . ½ count (R9/P2). FIRST COVER ON VADER OF THE TOURNAMENT. Kid scrambles . . . DIVING HEAD BUTT. 1, 2, kick out (R7/P5). Hooking clothesline downs Vader again. Knee drop sets up another gut wrench suplex. 1, 2, ¾ (R5/P4). OUT OF MY SEAT! Kid with a hooking clothesline . . . IMMEDIATE KICK OUT (R9/P5). Kid to the top . . . DIVING HEAD BUTT . . . CROWD IS COUNTING WITH DOLLAR . . . ONE TWO THREE! (R6/P8).

Terry Gordy (15) v. “Wild” Bull Curry (55)

Gordy does not appear to have any answer to Curry’s early attack. However, Gordy is able to eventually use his size to get back into the match and plants Curry with a back suplex for a one count (R8/P3). Gordy follows with a BAMM BAMM SLAM for two count (R7/P4) and then rocks Curry with a POWER BOMB to advance to the semi finals (R6/P6).

Killer Kowalski (11) v. Adrian Adonis (35)

A whip to the corner and charge does not work out for Adonis early on as Kowalski gets his knees up to block, but Kowalski's own force into the corner and stomp is blocked and Adonis suplexes Kowalski to the mat. Adonis tosses Kowalski to the floor and follows. Kowalski shoves Dr. Mike Lano into Adonis to get the upper hand. Back inside, Kowalski goes to the top but Adonis counters with a superplex. GOODNIGHT IRENE . . . Kowalski escapes (R10/P2). GOODNIGHT IRENE and Kowalski escapes again (R11/P3). Adonis sends Kowalski to the floor in frustration. Back in the ring, Adonis keeps in control. Suplex forces Kowalski back to the floor. He regains the ring and Adonis catches him with a DDT and lands an elbow from the top. Bulldog headlock sets up a belly to belly suplex. 1 count (R10/P4). Adonis sends Kowalski into the ropes and eats a tackle on the rebound. Dropkick spills Adonis to the floor. Giant swing when the action gets back between the ropes. IMPRESSIVE! Kowalski controls with forearms and then three consecutive dropkicks. Bombs Away lands. Another giant swing and more stomps from Kowalski. Jumping knee drop lands. It is all Kowalski with forearms, knees and stomps. Whip to the corner . . . reversed and Adonis lands a stiff clothesline. DDT and Kowalski is rocked. Rebounded into back elbow and Adonis attacks with a jumping knee smash. Back suplex and Adonis hooks the leg . . . 1, 2, 3 (R5/P5).

We are down to four…

Interesting that three of the remaining competitors are 2020 releases.
