The two pieces in the original set that was hard for me was The Unsperent Man and Tendron. Was never big on Doomsayer's crew expect for Cosmic Force.

Weird things that stick with you: when I got the 2091 set I looked at the drawings and names first, then read the booklet, then dove into the card backs. And for whatever reason, Tom's way of describing THE SMOTHERING stuck with me, making it out to be the most badass deadly finisher of all-time...then I flipped Tendron's card over: double-zeros. That was more underwhelming than his 8(5) pin. (Though not as underwhelming as Whiplash's finisher being a yank on the thumb. Let's please officially make it an Asiatic Spike with this set.)
Still, Tendron was a useful undercard JTTS type for me. They can't all be winners. The Rebels producing Tendron while the Supreme Gods added Lance At-Las was a pretty big signifier than Doomsayer's crew was falling behind, though.
UnMan is going to be interesting. It's not often that you get a villain whose basic gimmick is that he's pathetic and actively wallows in it. I know he wasn't a popular character but I kind of hope the drawing is actively not too badass-looking.

They took my best friend Reptillo... And then they turned him into the Serpent Unman... And then they turned him into the Doomsday Creature... And then they turned him back into Reptillo and he left...
Won’t you please bring my Reptillo back? I know he wasn’t the best wrestler there ever was... But I always thought he was, well, kind of cute... Even though he sucked...

For ages I've wanted something better for Whiplash.

I always like Tendron's card, I thought the art was interesting. Maybe not fantastic, but most of Carter's were not fantastic (for me). I'm looking forward to Werner's update! 👍 Tendron was an interesting piece of art, for sure! He did better than expected for me. I wonder if Tendron will be blue, green, orange, or maybe a surprise? I guess that's the fun of being an artist: You get to choose your own vision for a character! (Which reminds me to get going on those Blender tutorials I've been putting off, LOL)! Todd C WTIC

I had a rash of making all the alien guys green going on--even the Cosmic Forces--so with Tendron I consciously broke the mold and made him sky-blue.

I actually liked Whiplash's THUMBSCREW. You ever try to bend your thumb backwards as far as you could? Try it. Then bend it back a little bit more. Hurts like a monkey farmer.
I thought the small digit manipulation fit perfectly with his evolution from an executioner to a torturer.

The problem with it is....it really breaks suspension as a finisher....how do you not...elbow him, stomp him, snap mare him, or about ten thousand other counters?
