Very cool that Bobo and the Roadies held onto their respective titles... And of course, I'm truly excited that Styles & Danielson have joined forces to enter the Legends of the Universe Tag Team Challenge... PDragons all the way! Hey Pariah! I'm right there with you - I really wanted them to retain. And I knew you'd dig Styles & Danielson making their debuts in this as a team. I was originally going to call them Phenomenal Yes...but Troy suggested Phenomenal Dragons since (in this fed) they are rookies entering their wrestling careers. Very psyched to see how they fare in this for sure. The prestige around the tournament will soon be ratcheted up some...more to follow. Card 11 to be posted soon. As always - you rock! |

Glad to see the Road Warriors win... as well as Tricky Nick! Just wish Randy would have beat BoBo. Can't beat this show! Hey Crossbones! Thanks very much man - I'm stoked that it was a fun card. A bit of a preview - with that victory, Bockwinkel has catapulted his way into the main event on Card 12. Against Brazil for The World Championship. Here's to hoping it's a hell of a match. The Road Warriors are off to a good start & they will also be defending their titles on Card 12. Card 11 is up next. Thanks again for being in the stands! |

Nice to see Bobo Brazil and the Road Warriors successful in their first title defenses as well as Ivan Koloff and Judy Martin setting up their own title opportunities. Between the matches and the segments I can't get enough of the madness in SOTU. Every time I dive into The Celebration of the Lounge Lizard, I can almost hear Bill Murray belting out "I am the lizard king, I can dooooo anythingggg!"  Hey cruefan68! It was definitely a fun card to roll out and write up. Card 11 is coming up next and Koloff & Martin soon get their title shots. That would be one cheesy version of Celebration of The Lizard coming out of Bill Murray's mouth for sure! Thanks very much for the kind words and for being in the seats brother! |

Father Guido Sarducci (takes a puff from his Marlboro...and exhales contemplatively) - It's a pleasure...to be here...at my new home...The SOTU...now I know there's been a lot of freaky stuff happening...all around the world...(takes another puff and exhales)...but everything is happening for a reason...and the reason is because...that's what's supposed to happen...it's all part of the plan...I've often wondered...If God made man in his own image...why aren't we all...like...invisible?...it's because this is how it's all supposed to happen...God is the cause...and everybody in the universe...and all of existence...are all the symptoms...generated...by that cause...(takes another puff and exhales)...in times like these...what gives us comfort...and solace...is embracing who you are...a symptom...that belongs...and is supposed...to be...(holds up a black t-shirt depicting an SOTU logo)...and there's no more sincere way...to embrace who you are...then by wearing one of our new t-shirts...or any other item at my brand new stand...(then holds up a bumpersticker and a pair of black panties that have the same SOTU logo and the same words as the shirts do on them - Because This Is Supposed To Happen)...everything is on sale...from the keychains...to bumper stickers...to these...soft...panties...

Out of The Arena Spotlight / Behind Closed Doors / On The Down Low:
▪ "The Shadow's Revenge" approached "The Claw" and said to him that based off of a pwi wrestling magazine that he recently stole, he knows that in addition to all of the others from Merapis have landed here, wherever Ravage (Monolith) is, The Dark Menace is. This all smells extremely, "Menacy To Him". But neither one of them were aware that "Father Time" was hot on their trail.
▪ "A Heathen" and "A Living Legend" agreed, as they made their way to some big "Card 13" that The SOTU are holding, that all of their eggs appear to be in one basket. In order to protect themselves, obtain answers & vengeance, all roads lead to The Garden.
▪ Shred (Wolf) found The Dark Menace's whereabouts fairly quickly, a creepy but sickingly familiar old castle in Greenwich, Connecticut. He then made his way towards Sunnyside Gardens Arena, traveling strictly by night and plans on contacting Wonder Woman (Amazonia) from there.
▪ As Wince McCan't played his obscenely large organ at full volume while wearing his favorite cloak, apricot scarf and some drool, The Dark Menace smiled to himself about the deal the two of them have just made. With McCan'ts resources and financial backing, The Dark Menace is going to bring back a benefactor who will, as a just reward, make Wince's dreams into realities.
▪ "Gods Gift" and "Ground Zero" were catapulted into the limelight by simply defending themselves on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. They beat the daylights out of eight assailants who tried to mug them - and then "Gods Gift" bombastically explained to a reporter that they are what...Universal Champions look like.
▪ After spending the night with a very attractive SOTU groupie, Desperado (Sly Drury) found himself intrigued when she told him all about Ouija boards. After sending her out to buy one, they continued to discuss what they can allegedly do, including contacting people from different planes of existence...even other dimensions - Sunshine Superman (Godsend) in the next room started to listen.
▪ A man who witnessed the attempted mugging above found himself annoyingly impressed at how "Gods Gift" and "Ground Zero" had handled things. The plan on Merapis was for Drury and him to get in good with Godsend and The Dark Menace, thought "An Orderal Most Unreal". If Sly Drury was here - then these two have to be heading towards either Godsend or Drury - or both.
▪ "The Astral Warrior" also knew which planet he was on, the deja vu was quite palpable. Last time, most things happened and started in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, so that's where he's headed towards - because on some level he knew for a fact what and why all of these foces of the universe were specifically converging here.
▪ "The Brain Basher" and "Unlimited" were immediately signed after they easily defeated 16 other wanna be wrestlers at an open tryout Cincinnati AWA training facility. Gerne Vagne just couldn't believe his eyes, especially the gigantic independent who goes by the name "Unlimited" - Vagne told them that they are all...going to be very...rich.
▪ "The Impaler" and "The Uncrowned" both knew instinctively that "A Heathen" is frantically searching for The Aethran Overmaster and "A Living Legend" is no doubt trying to find his son. They knew that all the two of them had to do was follow these two chiefs in order to find either The Overmaster, or someone who knows where The Overmaster is.
▪ Suror (Orrus The Unstoppable) and The Mad Hatter (The Guardian) need to talk to The SOTU Commissioners pronto, and have just called their office at Sunnyside Gardens.
▪ The very first opponents in the tag tournament on Card 13 for the teams of The Road Warriors and Indestructible...will be against one another.
▪ The Atomic Punk (Thrash) and Commissioner David Lee Roth are in real deep, in more ways than one, but they can't help it - even though each are spyIng on the other - or maybe even because of.
▪ An emergency conference call has been scheduled by The Board of Directors with The Commissioners - a rather bizarre list of emergencies need handling - immediately.

Max Shield as Captain America is a great idea. Congrats to Judy Martin on grabbing the ladies gold from Candi Divine and to Nick Bockwinkel earning top contenders status. I bet the Nick and Race match was a barn burner. I would like to watch that match in real live.
I cant wait for card 12. Now that is going to be the show of shows to see.

Bock's triumph over Race was truly epic... And I'm always happy to see Sensational Sherri with her arm raised... But, for my money, the Unknown Soldier and Superior Mothers stole the show... Of course, Sky nailing DiBiase with that brass clad low blow was a Kodak moment if ever there was one... HA!
