Looks like my heart did not steer me wrong... Bobo snaps up the SOTU World Heavyweight title! TRUTH! And let me just say that it's impossible not to be impressed with the creative effort you put into the dialogue between characters... Vince McCant's unique vocal tick alone must require plenty of proofreading... Or FLENTY OP FROOPREADING, if you catch my drift... HA! Good times! Mornin brother Pariah! You're heart was spot on and hit the bullseye. Not only did Bobo win The World Heavyweight Championship - but he wrestled hurt and beyond endurance to do so. One of, If not my favorite Bobo Brazil moments yet for me. I hope he holds onto that title for quite some time because he sure as shit earned it!! Beat Thesz 2 falls to none at the end. But his first opponent will be tough in the winner of Savage vs Brody on Card 10. But I think he's got this. (Fingers crossed). That's very kind about what you said regatding dialogue thanks man. It does get a bit tricky with him lol. The real fun with Wince is first drafting up what his logical verbal reactions to situations might be (i.e. what his brain is trying to say) - and then going over it again and then "Wincing It All Up" with switching the f's & p's. Coming up next is our End of the Month report for the second month of action. Including the intro of a running list of entrants into our first major tournament - 32 team tag team's going toe to toe. Out of The Arena Spotlight & Behind Closed Doors:(The scene was the largest conference room within Smallie Biggs establishment The Broken Face Hotel...seated on one side of the large wooden (but slightly creaky) table was: Sly Drury, Godsend, Ted DiBiase, Sherri Martel, Bruiser Brody and a few of Drury's recently hired henchmen...on the other side of the table was: Sky Low Low, Myself,
Andre The Giant, Hector, David Lee Roth and Thrash...on the third and one of the smaller sides of the table were seated the Three Directors on The Board...and seated at the fourth...and weirdly smallest side of this irregular table...but with some serious presence was Endgame...)
The following points were made, agreed to and came out of this long...tense meeting:
▪ The Board of Directors (with our protection) put their foots down and said that although Drury is the principal owner, collectively the three directors hold the controlling share of the SOTU. They said that to mitigate this crisis, we will be following Sky Low Low and his people's lead. And they once again stressed that this means everybody, as they stared at Drury, Godsend and DiBiase.
▪ Endgame watched all of them...
▪ Both Godsend and Hector have mutually agreed to remain silent in public as well as in any written correspondences about the true plight of these "19 independents" who landed here on Earth 14 months ago...18 wrestlers and 1 Dark Menace...until our new title is competed for...Sly Drury is being protected from a few if the Independents...notably "Captain America" and "The Superior Mothers"...in exchange for his ongoing cooperation...but not in the ring...
▪ The true effects of Godsend's public revelations are unknown...but since this is such a potentially destructive point...screwing with time and creating alternate histories...we decided that the best way to try to really keep Godsend under control...is by dancing on the edge of the knife with him...we settled out of court by dangling an incredibly large, dangerous and quite frankly maddening carrot (for us) in front of him...
▪ The SOTU is going to be sanctioning a very unique championship title...The SOTU Championship of The Universe Title...its going to render our biggest title...The SOTU World Championship Title as...believe it or not...a secondary title...the bargaining point here is...if Godsend wins the inaugural SOTU Championship of The Universe...he's free to say anything...anytime...but...if he doesn't...then he never can...being the bombastic egomaniac that Godsend is...and convinced that he's going to easily win...he's agreed to this...even in writing...
▪ After our Legends of The Universe 32 Team Tag Team Challange Tournament...the entire tournament occurs on Card 13...(the fact that it winds up on Card 13 makes me nervous)...we will be holding (also at the Garden this time) our (God help us)...SOTU Championship of The Universe Title Tournament...64 wrestlers...no disqualifications...random matchups...for the biggest wrestling title ever...in it's entirety on Card 18...starting at 8pm that Saturday until it's over...including the WWE and others...
▪ So as Sky said back in our office...now we want everyone and their mothers to compete in this so Godsend can't win...this and only this title will be defended in periodic 32 man tournaments once the inaugural crowning occurs...
▪ When pressed for information on The Dark Menace, Sly Drury said that once Godsend proclaimed his true identity on world wide live television...The Menace has broken off all contact with Drury...and there's no trace of him at his former apartment on Maple Avenue in Flushing...so it would appear The Menace has gone off the radar and into hiding...it's possible...but not certain...that The Menace may be affiliated with that sociopathic narcissist Wince McCan't...on account that McCan't has a few of these "independents" on his roster...in particular "Rampage" whose real name is Monolith...who was genetically created by The Dark Menace...
▪ "Suror" aka Orrus The Unstoppable is being sent to the outskirts of Milwaukee...at the precise spot where these 19 "Independents" landed from the year 2136...for a couple of reasons...to try to find a few independents that are unaccounted for...and to try to convince the one named "Shred"...to hunt down The Dark Menace...
▪ As a small point of order...Dave spoke to Godsend and told him that he has scheduled a routine doctor's appointment with our new staff kinesiologist Dr. Dortmunder...Dave downplayed it magnificently...because Mr. Dortmunder isn't really...a kinesiologist...on paper he is...he is and has been many things in his life...but in this case...he is our Special Assignments man...as well as...a very underrated hypnotist...which is going to provide a little extra insurance for us...when it comes to Godsend...who happened to believe Dave that this was in his best interests...
▪ When Thrash was asked what The Aethran position is in all of this, she said, "I wouldn't know being a woman in that society, but it's guaranted to say...that the Overmaster has his own agenda...always"...and that "If anyone here...repeats it...I'll deny it...and If you do...I can promise you...that you'll never see it coming"...SOTU Press Conference (In Front of Sunnyside Gardens Arena):(Once again we tried to have some semblance of order...but again...it failed): "What does The SOTU plan to do...in response to all of these various public claims...that the end of the world is apparently tied into the sudden appearances...of these independents?"...
"Did you guys ever consider Trench Coat matches?"...
"Care to comment on any of the bizarre occurrences happening across the globe...that started soon after these independents making headlines...the grass roots movement to eradicate all of them from our country...massive lightning storms with absolutely no thunder to be heard...The Buffalo Sabres winning The Stanley Cup in 4 straight?"...
"Is Card 13 going to be a dark tournament...or will it be open to the public?"...
"Is it true that World Wide Empire Owner Wince McCan't can fly...and actually is...also part eagle?"...
"Well part of McCan't definitely is"...
"Will unrostered wrestlers be part of the 32 team team tag tournament...like teams or wrestlers coming out of retirement for this?"...
"Is there any connection between these independent wrestlers...and reports of some creature supposedly lurking in woods...on the far outskirts of Milwaukee?"...
"Why is it when...oh wait...you know what...ah...forget it...nevermind"...
"Were all sick and tired of The SOTU declining to give us in the press the proper courtesy and respect that we deserve...I mean it's almost nineteen something something for Christ's sake!"...
"Could Wince McCan't not only enter His Independents into the SOTU Champion of The Universe tournament...but some of the all time greats under exclusive contract with him...such as Hogan or even Flair?"...

You have nailed it again my friend and Symptoms of the Universe is such a great name. Rock on my brother! I have been following along since you started up this new venture and nobody brings it like you with the storytelling. Whatever way you decide, freeform or condensed, is fine with me. I enjoy reading it all. I have to say I love Bill Murray being around and who doesn't love a commissioner's crew consisting of Andre the Giant, Little Beaver and Sky Low Low? Congrats to Candi Divine on her women's title win over Joyce Grable. As for the SOTU World title tournament, I'm going with Lou Thesz for the win. I am looking forward to how it plays out.
