Card 18 – Maple Leaf Wrestling – Ringside – Hamilton, Ontario (2021.09.04)
Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) def. Bruiser Costa & Frank Dalton with a DOUBLE DROPKICK to Dalton. Morton found himself in some serious trouble early on after Dalton smashed him with his boot. Costa and Dalton both had near falls attempts and it looked like the Express may drop yet another match particularly when Gibson was able to get into the match but was also overwhelmed. A late hot tag to Morton finally turned the match and the Express never looked back getting the three count from Dick Woerhle. ** ½
Rock ‘n’ Roll Express stop by to speak with Gordon Solie. Solie discusses their recent struggles but the interview is interrupted by Captain Lou Albano and the Valiant Brothers who are out to declare that interviewing Gibson & Morton was a waste of time and was sure to drop the show’s ratings. The Express respond with a pair of fists. The two teams brawl all over the arena.
“Lightning” Rod Fenton def. Hillbilly Jim with use of illegal tactics. Dick Woerhle was in charge of the action and this one started off as a scientific encounter with both men making clean breaks and showing some sportsmanship. But that did not last long as Fenton took the advantage during a brawl on the floor. Jim hit his head on the floor at one point and was almost counted out. Fenton continued to work a questionable style and a thumb to the eye allowed Fenton to get the pin hooking the tights for good measure. *** ½ [Vintage Charts used]

Sandman def. Vampiro in a Dog Collar Match with a SINGAPORE CANE. Joey Marella just had one job in this one and that was to make the three count. Vampiro dominated the action from the bell and within the first minute Sandman’s head was busted wide open and he was taken out with a NAIL IN THE COFFIN. Sandman just kicked out and from this point, Vamprio used the chain to punish Sandman in and out of the ring but Sandman was finally able to get back into things running Vampiro into the ring post. Vampiro then took an epic beating with the chain and chairs. A DDT on to the chair nearly ended it before Sandman grabbed his favourite weapon, for he second time in the match, and finished it. ****
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors join Gordon Solie along with their manager Paul Ellering and tell Solie it does not matter which team they face at the Maple Leaf Gardens on September 12th they are leaving Toronto with the belts.
Chris Candido & “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal def. Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) by disqualification when Animal sends Regal into the ring post. Morgan Dollar sends Paul Ellering to the back much to the displeasure of the Road Warriors. Animal steps into the ring against Regal and Regal thinks he is all that after he gets control but Animal turns on the power with a press slam that sends Regal rolling outside. Animal comes outside and battering rams Regal into the ring post! Dollar quickly calls for the bell as Regal is left in a heap on the floor while the fans are stunned at the display of brutality. DUD
