Dillion step up to mic with Gordon Solie to kick us off with a confident promo that hypes Blanchard’s match with Magnum T.A. tomorrow night at Maple Leaf Gardens. Tully Blanchard w/J.J. Dillon def. Jake “The Milkman” Milliman with a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX. Blanchard dominated but Milliman managed to backdrop Blanchard to the floor in a counter to a corner charge. Milliman comes out to the floor and Blanchard makes him pay with a whip into the post. His finisher followed and James Beard made the three count. DUD Al Snow w/Head def. Rock Riddle with a deathjump cross body block. Snow dominated most of this match under watchful eye of Dick Woerhle but Riddle provided difficult to finish off has he survived three SNOW PLOWS before the agility of Snow lead him to the three count. * ½ The Spoiler speaks his mind when he stops in with Gordon Solie before heading to the ring for his match. He calmly tells the fans that it will only be a matter of time before gold is around this waist. The Spoiler def. Barry Windham with a BIONIC CLAW. This battle of big men was a thriller from start to finish with the action going back and forth and in and out of the ring. Windham managed to execute a SWEETWATER SUPLEX but could not get the three count. Spoiler showcased his skills with a pair of rope-walk smashes and later earned some serious heat when he smashed Windham across the back with a chair. Referee James Beard let the action carry on and Windham never really recovered and Spoiler gets victory with his finisher. *** ½ The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) battled to a double disqualification with Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant). Johnny Valiant looks to have Ricky Morton beat after a SPINNING NECKBREAKER in the opening minute but a starstruck Joey Marella is slow with the count. The Valiant Brother follow up with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE. Robert Gibson jumps in for the save and kicks off a wild brawl. Gibson fires dropkicks both Valiant Brothers and then one to Albano. The Texas Death rematch between RnR Express and the Valiants should be off the chain... But, I'm really stoked for my Vampire brother's title... Say your prayers, Harley cuz all it takes is a NAIL IN THE COFFIN... Truth!

Card 20 – Maple Leaf Wrestling –Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario (2021.09.12)
Marcus Alexander Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio def. Shawn Daivari & Fritz Von Goering when Scorpio pinned Von Goering after a flip leg drop. This was a wild opening contest that featured back and forth action and James Beard getting knocked down for eight moves. Scorpio was cut off for a stretch but managed to survive a WMD from Daivari and then Bagwell made a key pin save after Daivari struck with his finisher a second time moments later. Bagwell and Scorpio use their double teaming and speed to get back into the match cutting of Von Goering and get the impressive comeback victory. *** ½
Val Venis def. Wild Bill White with a Russian leg sweep. Morgan Dollar was in charge of the action but the match was a plodder with White doing just enough to frustrate Venis and keep the action at the mid level. Venis nails back to back Russian leg sweeps and gets the three count. * Koko B. Ware d. Sandman by disqualification for hitting Ware with a chair. Ware has the fans up and out of their seat after the last match was less than exciting. Sandman is frustrated by the Ware’s speed but manages to take the action to the floor. Sandman decides to crack Ware with a chair to slow him down and Morgan Dollar will have none of it and calls for the bell. Dud
Hillbilly Jim def. “Lightning” Rod Fenton with a BEAR HUG. James Beard was back to make the three count in this one. There was some edge to this battle as the action went to the floor several times. Jim was nearly counted out after banging his head on the floor. Jim overcame Fenton’s use of illegal tactics and was cheered heavily as he used his finishers for get the victory. Jim dances with a couple of fans after the bell. ** [Vintage Charts used]
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/Paul Ellering def. Chris Candido & “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal. The Warriors get into the face of Morgan Dollar who appears shaken by the experience even before the bell sounds. Candido actually looks impressive early on against Hawk but his BLONDE BOMB does not work and the Warriors take control keeping Candido away from his partner. Regal saves Candido from a DOOMSDAY DEVICE but the Warrior hit the tag team finisher immediately again and this time they get the three count. *
Commissioner Teddy Long is interviewed by Bill Apter in a special Hot Seat segment. The Commissioner announces that the Ringside Show will be expanding and now fans can look forward to six action packed encounters each week! Shane Douglas w/Francine def. Mikey Whipwreck with a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX. Douglas came out and worked the mic for his open challenge that was answered by Mikey Whipwreck much to the delight of the ringside fans. There was not much to cheer about however once Dick Woerhle called for the bell and this one was over in just three moves after Douglas countered a backdrop with a piledriver and then struck with his finisher. DUD
Barry Windham def. The Spoiler with a LARIAT. This was a barn burner back and forth battle that started with Spoiler sharing his opinion on officiating with Morgan Dollar which seems to intimidate the official. Neither man controlled early on but Spoiler used a chair during a brawl on the floor and dominated afterwards. Twice Windham had to survive a pair of BIONIC CLAWS before he battled back. Spoiler kicked out after a SWEETWATER SUPERLEX and a LARIAT but Windham kept on his opponent getting the win with a second LARIAT. *** ½.
Tully Blanchard w/ J.J. Dillon def. Magnum T.A. Morgan Dollar thrills the fans by sending J.J. Dillon to the back before the bell! Blanchard started out strong despite the absence of his manager. Three times in a row Blanchard connected with his finisher SLINGSHOT SUPLEX but Allen managed to kick out each time. Blanchard used a foreign object to bust open his opponent but a bloodied Allen battled back again but was never able to get Blanchard in a position to go for the win or submission before Blanchard landed a piledriver and picked up the three count. ** ½ The Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant) w/Captain Lou Albano def. Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE to Ricky Morton in a Texas Death Match. The Express dominated this one from the opening bell and made use of the ring rails, a length of rope and a metal pipe to render both Valiant Brothers a bloody mess but they could not put away their opponents and the Valiant Brothers made an impressive comeback crushing Morton with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE, SUPER ELBOW and a second DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE for the victory. *****
Canadian Heavyweight Champion Harley Race def. Vampiro with a VERTICAL SUPLEX. James Beard is the referee for the main event. Methodical is the word to describe the attack of the Canadian Champion as Race paced himself and punished his challenger from bell to bell. Vampiro survive a pair of PILEDRIVERS and made a brief offensive flurry but Race quickly regained control and finished the match with back to back to back VERTICAL SUPLEXES. **.
Roster News: It was announced that Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson have departed the area after tonight’s event.

Hawk blocked the pin save but Albano caused a distraction keeping the action going. Valiant then took a vicious beating from the champions including a wicked double clothesline. Animal took the action the floor and battering rammed Valiant into the ring post. The action at Maple Leaf Gardens was simply off the chain... Too bad my Vampire brother couldn't bring home the gold, but it's hard to complain about Race as champion... He's a superb technician and as tough as they come... The upcoming match between him and Windham should deliver the goods.
And after plenty of frustration, it looks like Morton & Gibson have packed up their stuff and gone elsewhere to play... I've gotta feeling we haven't seen the last of the RnR Express.
Want to add that I really like the tweaked presentation format... Clearly naming the winner at the conclusion of each match summary catches the eye... Very entertaining, my friend... As always!

Clearly the Warriors were running scared when they knew the Valiants were in line for a big comeback. Race continues to rock and roll.
