Nice effort by McCord, but I'm pleased that Superfly retained... Business is really picking up between Koko B. Ware and Redd Dogg... And the upcoming main event pitting Beefcake against Jannetty is gonna be SWEET!

Card 15 – Maple Leaf Wresting – TV – Civic Centre, Brantford, Ontario
Gordon Solie welcomes us to the show and sets the table for tonight’s action with Commissioner Teddy Long at his side. Kip James come out for a crowd-pleasing interview with Gordon Solie reminding the fans that he had no problem with “Iron” Mike at the Gardens and tonight will be no different. “Iron” Mike DiBiase over Kip James. James used his size to get the early advantage but a STANDING LEG DROP can only get a two count. DiBiase avoids a charge to the corner and James hits the buckles hard leading to DiBiase’s first near fall. DIBiase takes control from that point getting a near fall after a series of punches and later almost submits James with an abdominal stretch. James has nothing left and DiBiase mounts the buckles for a TOP ROPE KNEE TO BACK. ***
Gordon Solie reminds the fans of the upcoming event in Oshawa.
Card 16 – Oshawa Civic Auditorium, ON Canadian Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Snuka & Fantastics v. Stan Hansen & Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Long Riders Redd Dogg v. Koko B. Ware Rob Van Dam v. Masked Superstar Joyce Grable v. Sherri Martel Plus two more matches!
Iron Sheik & Fritz Von Goering defeated Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) by disqualification. The fans were livid with the Sheik who grabbed the mic before the match and ripped into ringside. The Fantastics really struggled with the power advantage of Sheik and debuting Von Goering. Sheik really turned up the heat when he loaded up his boot and attack Fulton with the weapon. The Fantastics were finally able to mount a comeback and kept their opposition on the defensive with double teaming. Things ended up going to the floor where Von Goring went to clobber Fulton with a chair but Fulton was able to avoid and crack Von Goering with his own chair. The referee called for the bell but that did not stop the action when spilled out of the ring until security arrive for a pull apart. **
We get an ad for the upcoming Maple Leaf Gardens show
Card 20 – Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario Canadian Heavyweight Title – Jimmy Snuka [ch] v. Stan Hansen
Brutus Beefcake is interviewed by Gordon Solie and he is jumped from behind by Marty Jannetty but things take a turn as Beefcake is able to backdrop Jannetty to the floor and gain the upper hand.
Brutus Beefcake pinned Marty Jannetty. Jannetty continued to take a beating as they headed to the ring. The referee called for the bell and a flying knee smash sent Jannetty back to the floor. Jannetty crawled back in and Beefcake connected with a second flying knee smash for the three count. Dud.

I could not resist another restart in order to make use of the Legends Personnel 4 – pack. Heenan & Monsoon are not actually personalities in the federation but I am using the card mechanic to determine the flow of my Ringside television shows. Card 01 – Maple Leaf Wrestling – Ringside – The Forum, Hamilton, Ontario (2021.06.05)Marcus Alexander Bagwell & 2 Cold Scorpio def. Frank Dalton & Wild Bill White when Scorpio pinned Dalton after a Tumbleweed. Morgan Dollar was in charge of the action for this was a hot opener that saw Dalton cut off early on and the heroes going to work with their high-flying offense but despite their double teaming they could not find a way to get the three-count. White was able to get going his way when particularly after catching Scorpio on the top of the corner and tossing him to the mat. Eventually, the skill of Bagwell and Scorpio proved to be the difference with a double dropkicking setting up a Tumbleweed from Scorpio for the victory. **** ½ We cut to a video package hosted by Gordon Solie detailing the history of wrestling in Ontario. Solie takes us back to the Queensbury Athletic Club back in the 1930s and describes the involvement of the Tunney family along with several other key promotors in the province. Vampiro def. Mikey Whipwreck with NAIL IN THE COFFIN. Bill Alfonso called the bell and the fans were solidly behind the underdog Whipwreck who wrestled with all his heart thrilling ringside when he kicked out after NAIL IN COFFIN. Whipwreck drew on his supporters and took control of the action with so high risk offensive but Vampiro was able to drag his foe to the floor and run him head first into the ring post. Whipwreck was clearly dazed a blood trickled from his brow and Vamprio quickly put him away this finisher. ** We go to Gordon Solie who announces the upcoming tournament for the Canadian Heavyweight Title will take place at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto on June 13th. Vamprio has been signed to compete in the eight-man single elimination tournament along with a competitor from our next match, Johnny Saint! Johnny Saint def. Henry Irslinger with a THREE IN ONE. This was one over quickly as Saint quickly took things to the mat with a cutblock and folding press before moving into his finisher seconds later for the win. DUD The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy & Johnny Valiant) w/Rock Riddle def. Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) by disqualification when Gibson used a chair on Jimmy Valiant during a brawl on the floor. The Express were not happy that Bill Alfonso was the official for our main event and they were right to be concerned considering how things turned out. The Express had their dropkicks locked and loaded tonight and “Luscious” Johnny ate several of them but Jimmy Valiant made a key pin save after a DOUBLE DROPKICK from the Express. “Handsome” Jimmy lead his team back blasting Gibson with a foreign object which Alfonso claimed he did not see despite the infraction taking place right in front of him. Gibson was bloodied and battered and when the fight went to the floor, Valiant grabbed a chair but Gibson managed to land a dropkick and then walloped Valiant with the chair. Alfonso called for the bell and Riddle gathers up the Valiant Brothers and headed to the back. ** ½ Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson head over to Gordon Solie and demand a rematch and challenge the Valiant Brothers to a match at the Maple Leaf Gardens show as we run out of time! Thank you for comments Pariah . Card 02 – Maple Leaf Wrestling – Ringside – The Forum, Hamilton, Ontario (2021.06.12) Chris Candido def. Koko B. Ware by count-out after a suplex on the floor. The Birdman had the fans dancing before the bell but there was little to celebrate after the match was underway as Candido dominated this one from bell to bell with the only highlight for Ware being a kick out after a BLONDE BOMB. Dud. The Spoiler def. Jake “The Milkman” Milliman with a BIONIC CLAW. This match is joined in progress after the break but the fans did not miss much of this complete squash under the supervision of referee Bill Alfonso. DUD. Al Snow and Head stop by with Gordon Solie to discuss Snow’s participation in the Canadian Title Tournament tomorrow night at Maple Leaf Gardens when Bruiser Costa, his scheduled opponent for tonight, shows up and things get heated. A brawl breaks out and the pair fight all over ringside and into the crowd. Barry Windham & Magnum T.A. def. “Strangler” Ed Lewis & Harley Race by disqualification. Dick Woehrle is in charge of the action. Lewis and Race jump their opponents before Gary Michael Cappetta is finished the introductions and the action is non stop from that point will all four men seeing action. Race gets the upper hand on Magnum and takes the fight to the floor where they trade blows but Race decides to use a chair ramming it into the midsection of Allen. Woehrle is quick to call for the bell. Both sides brawl after the bell but Windham and Magnum used dropkicks to clear the ring. ** Gordon Solie signs off reminding us about the tournament for the Canadian Title tomorrow night at Maple Leaf Gardens!

Card 03 – Maple Leaf Wrestling –Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario (2021.06.13)
Canadian Title Tournament – Round One
“Strangler” Ed Lewis def. The Spoiler with a STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Spoiler was all over Morgan Dollar before the bell and the official appeared shaken up. Spoiler gained the upper hand but Lewis was able to counter a belly to belly suplex and then locked in a series of STRANGLER’S HEADLOCKS with the Spoiler reaching the ropes twice but the third time in a row put Lewis into the semi-finals. * ½
Vampiro def. Magnum T.A. with a top rope spin kick. Vampiro dominated this one from the moment James Beard called for the bell until Beard made the three-count. Allen kicked out of several pin attempts but Vampiro’s attack was flawless and moves on in the tournament. *
Barry Windham def. Johnny Saint with a LARIAT. Windham was able to use his speed and size to his full advantage and put Saint immediately on the defensive. Windham hit his finisher after just a few moves and that was it. Handshakes begin and end the match. Dud
Harley Race def. Al Snow w/head with a VERTICAL SUPLEX. James Beard is the official in back to back bouts and this is another short one. Snow looks good with an early hooking clothesline but Race shakes it off and traps Snow in a Deathlock and lands a deathjump before putting Snow away. *
Non-Tournament Matches
Val Venis def. David Taylor with a Russian Leg Sweep. Taylor started strong and dominated the early going leading to a BRITISH SUPLEX but Venis kicked out at the last second and began a strong comeback including back to back to back spinning power bombs at one point. Venis keeps the pressure on and picks up the three count from Dick Woehrle. * ½
The Sandman def. “Lightning” Rod Fenton by disqualification when Fenton cracks Sandman with a chair across the back. Bill Alfonso draws the referee assignment and he seems happy to see Sandman. Sandman controls crushing Fenton with a piledriver and three Rolling Rocks. Fenton kicks out of a pin attempt and when they get the floor Fenton grabs a chair to defend Sandman’s Singapore Cane and Alfonso calls for the bell. Both men brawl down the ramp to the dressing room. * ½
Canadian Title Tournament – Semi-Finals
“Strangler” Ed Lewis def. Vampiro with a double wrist lock. Dick Woehrle calls for the bell and the action gets to the mat almost immediately and this plays into the strength of the Lewis who moves to a double wrist lock for the submission in only a few moves. Vampiro is furious after the match claiming he did not submit but Woehrle’s decision stands. Dud
Harley Race def. Barry Windham with a VERTICAL SUPLEX. This was a brutal battle that went back and forth with both men picking up near falls from James Beard before the action spilled to the floor and Windham went into the ring post and was busted open. Windham was soon a bloody mess but he continued to go move for move with Race. A blood loss began to weaken Windham who finally was pinned after back to back to back VERTICAL SUPLEXES. ****
Non-Tournament Match
The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy & Johnny Valiant) w/Rock Riddle def. Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) with a DOUBLE HOT SHOT on Gibson. Just an amazing battle between these two teams with the Express looking for revenge and using their speed and double teaming to wear out both Valiant Brothers under the watch of referee James Beard. Gibson got some payback assaulting Johnny Valiant with a chair during a brawl on the floor. Twice the Express had the match won with a DOUBLE DROPKICK but key pin saves kept the action going. Riddle interfered and saved “Luscious” Johnny from being pinned. The finish came with both sides making sudden tags and the Valiants took advantage of the chaos with a double team finisher on Gibson for the comeback victory out of nowhere. *****
Canadian Title Tournament - Finals
Harley Race def. “Strangler” Ed Lewis with a small package to win the Canadian Title. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both men before the bell and they clash like two bulls at the bell. Race is forced to the floor and Lewis tries for the submission with a STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK but Race makes the ropes to stay alive. Race is sent rebounding off the ropes and counters with a backdrop with a small package that gets the pin (snake eyes!). * ½ Commissioner Teddy Long comes to the ring and presents the Canadian Title to Harley Race. Race is interviewed in the ring by Bill Apter and Race promises to beat everyone who steps into the ring with him and attempts to take what he holds dear, that is title gold.
