Tonight the Lions will pick a WR. If not in 2nd than in 3rd with one of their two picks. Remember Golladay was a 3rd round pick. So really it is a matter of the depth on the board for WR and for front 7. While D is important more and more the league is turning into an O league. A lot also depends on how the Lions see the board for next year with two first round picks. If they see some once in a decade guys on D coming out next year they might go O this year and D next year.

There are several great wideouts still on the board. Mississippi kid. ND kid. Western MI kid. Couple more. Our new GM is supposed to excel in these rounds so tonight is historic in the fact that we have 3 picks and this is his first draft without Snead making the final call. Hopefully he can excel on his own beginning tonight. My excitement level is off the charts after many years of boring and annoying Lions drafts.

I know the WR board is deep just not as sure of the front seven. My thought was what is the better duo at 2nd and first 3rd round pick, WR/DL or DL/WR. Another thing to think about is while we need to improve our D one way to limit the other team from scoring is keeping them on the bench. With a top O-Line and a couple really good RBs we could be seeing 7, 8, 10 minute drives. That keeps the other team from scoring and lets your D rest and reset on play calling if getting beat up.

Well I think the Raiders made up a bit for the first round pick with their 2nd rounder.

Well I think the Raiders made up a bit for the first round pick with their 2nd rounder. yes, Trevon Moehrig was a great pickup at #46, I am really surprised he fell so far in this draft As a Raiders fan, I am very happy with this selection. Now I just need to see who my Seahawks take in the Second Round before going to the gym.

Giants did well trading down again and still getting a guy people thought they could have taken at 11.

The Lions picked three men who have something in common. Defensive players who are big and fast. I like it.

Trenches!! I had to pinch myself to be sure I wasn’t dreaming. No TE’s, No WR’s and we didn’t trade up for any RB’s. Instead we grab a LT, two DT’s and a 6’ 4” CB.
Not bad. I expect we take a WR today along w a LB or a S.

His slip was very surprising and apparently because he injured his back at his pro day. Good news is the Raiders medical team seems confident the injury isn’t anything serious. Could be a huge steal.
