Pistons won and now are one whole game above the basement which is occupied by the Wizards. We got 30+ from both our young guards who shot really good. We also got a combined 24 rebounds from our top two centers while Brooklynn only had 28 rebounds as a team.

Pistons lost to Dallas as Luka Doncic had his sixth straight 30-point triple-double. That is an NBA record. He has had five straight 35-point triple-doubles. The thing is if Cunningham could have one more rebound both teams would have had a 30-point triple-double tonight. It has been a long time coming but seems that Cunningham is starting to develop into what we thought he could be when we drafted him.

Lions might have more wins than the Pistons, LOL. For a while there I have to admit, I thought this would come to pass. But as of tonight, by beating Toronto both franchises had 12 wins this season. Pistons need just one more win to have more wins. Of course, you could include the playoffs for the Lions which means the Pistons are still chasing them.

For some guys, having 15 points and 10 rebounds would be a good game. Jalen Duren had that at half time. He finished with 24 points and career high 23 rebounds. The man is a beast. Yet, he cannot legally drink yet as he is only 20 until November.
Meanwhile, the Pistons have won 3 of 4 games for first time in nearly two years. Young guys are starting to gel. Keep them healthy, add a player or two in the offseason and watch out. I don't mean contenders but should have a good chance of making the playoffs.

Funny thing. Even after losing tonight the Pistons are not eliminated from the playoffs. Only Washington and San Antonio have been eliminated. My guess is we get eliminated this weekend.

Pistons signed Taj Gibson for the rest of the season. I don't know why but good for him.

If the Pistons want to improve, they might want to look what Oklahoma did over last few years. Back in the 2020-21 season, just 3 seasons ago, they were next to last in the West with a 22-50 record. This season they are leading the West currently with a 47-20 record. That is a big swing.

Pistons lost by 19 to the Pacers but it could have been worse. In a rarity we had more free throw attempts. 30 to 18 and we make more 24-11. Getting to the charity strip and shooting 80% is a nice sign. Not much else to say good about tonight's game. Cunningham and Duren both had a double/double. Duren is averaging 11.9 rebounds a game which is 5th best. He is bound to get even better over next few years as, like I have pointed out before, does not even turn 21 till November.

Another loss and you can look to the free throw line. This time we were not outshot at the line but while we shot good we could have shot better. It is big when you lose by 2 points. The other issue is we lost Duren after only 5 minutes when he got a facial injury. He is our rebounding machine. I knew something was wrong when I checked the box score and saw he had only 1 rebound. Then noticed the 5 minutes played.

Last night reserve Malachi Flynn came off the bench and put up 50. That is the good news. The bad is we lost, and he outscored our starters. To be fair, only 2 of our 5 starters were guys who would have started if everyone was healthy.
On a side note, I found out why Duran played only 5 minutes and did not return in the previous game. Dude took a hit to the face and lost a damn tooth. Poor kid. Of course, if he was a hockey player, he would have returned later in the game lol.
