LNWA Tag Team Title Tournament Quarter Finals Round Live from Madison Square Garden, New York City #1 The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs. Ole and Arn Anderson w/J.J DillonThe Road Warriors defeated Ole and Arn Anderson by pinfall at 12:17 after Hawk hit a vertical suplex on Arn. The match was a brawl from start to finish that saw moments where The Andersons were in control spread out by moments of complete domination by The Road Warriors. The match saw Animal and Hawk both attempt pinfalls after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on both Arn and Ole, only to have the pinfall broken up by Ole and Arn respectively. Arn did manage to hit a DDT on Animal but Animal was able to kick out before the three count. Animal took four fatigue tokens, and both Ole and Arn were busted open, and taking six fatigue tokens each. The Road Warriors move on to the semi finals and await the winner of The Vachons vs. The High Flyers matchup. #2 Demolition w/Mr. Fuji vs. #7 The Rock N’ Roll ExpressDemolition defeated The Rock N’ Roll Express by pinfall after Smash pinned Ricky Morton following a DEMOLITION DECAPITATION at 13:12. The match was much closer than many were expecting going into the match and both teams utilized quick tags. At the start, it appeared as though it was going to be all Rock N’ Roll Express, as Robert Gibson hit a spinning toehold that required Ax to struggle to reach the ropes to break the hold and a DOUBLE DROP KICK that Ax powered out of. The match turned in favor of Demolition when Ax left the ring, pulled Gibson outside and whipped him into the steel steps twice. Both Gibson and Morton were on the receiving end of DEMOLITION DECAPITATION, but in both instances the other member of Rock N’ Roll Express was able to save his partner from being pinned. Unfortunately for the team, Morton was unable to kick out of a second DEMOLITION DECAPITATION. Ax and Gibson took six fatigue tokens, and Morton took seven. Demolition moves onto the semifinals and a matchup against the winner of The Midnight Express vs. The British Bulldogs. #5 The Vachons vs. #13 The High FlyersThe clock struck midnight for the Cinderella team of The High Flyers as The Vachons defeated them in 6:29 by pinfall following a PILEDRIVER from Mad Dog Vachon on Jim Brunzell. The match was pretty much dominated by The Vachons as Butcher Vachon hit two HANGMANS on Greg Gagne and added a boot to face for a pinfall attempt on Greg Gagne. After Mad Dog hit a first PILEDRIVER on Brunzell, Gagne was able to break up the pinfall attempt. A second PILDRIVER was enough to put Brunzell away and push The Vachons into the semifinals and a match up against The Road Warriors. In the match Brunzell took six fatigue tokens and Gagne took five tokens. #3 The Midnight Express vs. #6 The British BulldogsThe Midnight Express scored a pinfall victory over The British Bulldogs in 12:34, when Bobby Eaton pinned Davey Boy Smith after a MIDNIGHT MASSACRE. Once again, Dennis Condrey took a ton of punishment in the match, and was saved from a pinfall by Jim Cornette’s interference by jabbing Davey Boy Smith in the back of the head with his tennis racket. after Condrey took a TOWER OF LONDON. Eaton came in and hit two Double Goozles on Davey Boy Smith and Eaton was the legal man with Davey Boy Smith when the MIDNIGHT MASSACRE was hit. Dynamite Kid attempted to break up the pinfall but was stopped by Condrey, which allowed The Midnight Express to advance to a semifinal matchup against Demolition. Condrey took five fatigue tokens and Davey Boy Smith took five tokens as well.

LNWA World Tag Team Tournament Semi Finals Round Live from Madison Square Garden, New York City #1 The Road Warriors vs. #5 The VachonsIn the most shocking upset of the night, The Vachons defeated the Road Warriors in what amounted to as close to a squash match as The Road Warriors have ever had, after Mad Dog Vachon pinned Animal after two PILEDRIVERS in 8:29. Quick tags were utilized by the Road Warriors early in the math, and Animal took abuse from Mad Dog Vachon for the majority of the match, sustaining two PILEDRIVERS. He was able to kick out of the first one, and a second pinfall attempt following a gutbuster, but a second PILEDRIVER was too much for Animal to overcome. Hawk did attempt to save his partner but was stopped by Butcher Vachon. Animal took six fatigue tokens during the match. The Vachons move onto the finals where they will face the winner of Demolition versus The Midnight Express. #2 Demolition vs. #3 The Midnight ExpressDemolition defeated The Midnight Express in 11:21 after Crush pinned Dennis Condrey following two DEMOLITION DECAPITATIONS. The match was, for the most part controlled by Demolition Smash, who hit a Bobby Eaton with a DEMOLITION DECAPITATION, only to have Jim Cornette interrupt the pin count by unintentionally hitting Eaton with his tennis racquet. Eaton was able to tag in Condrey who did hit Smash with a ROCKET LAUNCHER, but he was then decimated by a power bomb from Crush who broke up the pin. Smash then tagged Crush in and Crush proceeded to dismantle Condrey hitting him with two DEMOLITION DECAPITATIONS, the first Condrey was able to kick out of, but the second he was not able to. Eaton did try to make the pin save, but was cut off by Smash. Condrey took eight fatigue tokens and Eaton six in the match, that some say may have went off the rails due to Demolition having three members, which did not give The Midnight Express adequate time to prepare for the lineup they faced. Demolition moves onto the Finals of the Legends National Wrestling Association World Tag Team Titles Tournament where they will face The Vachons.

No DQ, No Count out LNWA World Tag Team Title Tournament Final #2 Demolition vs. #5 The VachonsThe Vachons were crowned the inaugural LNWA World Tag Team Champions after Mad Dog Vachon pinned Ax 7:26, following a PILEDRIVER. The Vachons took the advantage before the match even began when they ambushed Demolition during a pre-match interview with “Mean” Gene Okerlund, during which Mad Dog hit Ax repeatedly with his chain, and Butcher Vachon hit Smash and Crush with chairs before whipping both of them into locker doors. Mad Dog started the match for The Vachons and managed to shake off a DEMOLITION DECAPITATION and actually had two pinfall attempts on Smash, on following his PILEDRIVER finisher, after the second attempt, Ax saved Smash from a pinfall. LEGENDS NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE TUESDAY NIGHT NEWS Week 3 *A very 1980’s graphic moves across the television screen to a very new wave music accompaniment. The graphic reads “LEGENDS NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE TUESDAY NIGHT NEWS.” The graphic is followed by wrestling highlights beginning with Lou Thesz pinning Koko B. Ware; Harely Race piledriving Shane Douglas; Bob Backlund crossface chickenwinging Steve Corino; Andre the Giant tossing multiple men from the ring in a battle royal; Ric Flair on his knees in the middle of the ring on his knees cradling the LNWA World Heavyweight Title with Commissioner Teddy Long, J. J. Dillon and the rest of the Four Horsemen standing behind him; and concludes with The Vachons standing in the center of the LNWA ring holding the LNWA World Tag Team Titles with their arms raised, and confetti falling from the arena ceiling**The screen goes black for a moment before opening on Gordon Solie, the voice of LNWA Tuesday Night News. He stands in front of a large yellow wall with the LEGENDS NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE TUESDAY NIGHT NEWS logo painted on it in red. He pauses a moment, looking down at some notes on a sheet of paper, before looking up and smiling before he begins to speak.*Gordon Solie: Good evening Legends of National Wrestling Alliance fans! We are coming to you live from the LNWA Tuesday Night News set in The Sunshine State! I'm Gordon Solie, here with all of the wrestling headlines worth reporting. First, the LNWA has World Tag Team Champions, The Vachons. Those of you who watched this past Thursday's Madison Square Garden Tag Team Super Show witnessed history in the making. We saw the invasion of the LNWA by The Fabulous Freebirds who heinously attacked and injured Dr. Death Steve Williams following The Miracle Violence Connection's LNWA World Tag Team Title Tournament first round loss to The Andersons. We also saw The Vachons defeat The Dream Team, The High Flyers, The Road Warriors, and Demolition to be crowned the first ever Legends National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Champions. We also saw Hacksaw Jim Duggan win a 20-man over the top Battle Royal to earn the third spot in four-man tournament to determine the #1 Contender for the LNWA World Heavyweight Title at next month's LNWA #1 Contenders Pay Per View. Duggan eliminated Big Van Vader to win the Battle Royal. Nick Bockwinkel had the most eliminations before being eliminated, by eliminating four other wrestlers, or 1/5 of the field. But, our biggest news, is another announcement from LNWA Commissioner Teddy Long who made a special announcement at a press conference earlier today, that was held inside The Chase Plaza Hotel in Kansas City, Kansas. We go now to live video of the press conference, with a LNWA Tuesday Night News Special Report from Bill Apter.
*Video fills the screen of a full ball room at the Chase Plaza Hotel. Bill Apter steps up to a podium with the Legends National Wrestling Alliance Logo on it, and he clears his throat before speaking*
Bill Apter: Good after, and thank you for attending today's press conference. We have a very exciting announcement to make tonight concerning a second men's singles wrestling title, and a tournament to crown that new Champion that will be coming to you live from this very building, The Chase Plaza Hotel, with a special edition of Wrestling At The Chase! But, I will allow LNWA Commissioner Teddy Long provide further details.*Long strides to the podium with grin on his face, he looks at his notes, and then begins to speak*
Teddy Long: It is great to be back in Kansas City, and at the historic Chase Plaza Hotel! This afternoon, I am excited to announce a new title that the LNWA Board of Directors approved this past weekend, that will be a second men's singles title. I am pleased to announce that the LNWA Board of Directors has approved the creation of a National Heavyweight Championship, and a 16-man one-night tournament that will be held here, THIS SATURDAY for a special edition of Wrestling at The Chase.*Long pauses before continuing*
Teddy Long: The LNWA Board of Directors decided on several things when picking the 16-competitors in this single elimination tournament. They came up with three expectations when picking the field for this tournament. They were as follows:- Wrestlers in the LNWA National Heavyweight Championship Tournament cannot be competitors in the LNWA World Heavyweight Title #1 Contenders Tournament
- Wrestlers in the field could come from any territory
- Wrestlers were required to choose which men's title they wish to compete for the next 90 days - either The World Title or The National Title, not both.
*Long pauses again before speaking*
Teddy Long: This decision was made because the LNWA Board of Directors wanted to ensure that fans could have consistent contenders for each of the two belts, and to limit the overlap between the contender fields for the next 90 days. You'll notice, only one wrestler involved in the LNWA Heavyweight Title Tournament decided to chase National Title for the next 90 days. But, enough from me, I am sure you in attendance and the LNWA fans watching from at home are wondering: who's in this tournament. Well, playas, I'm pleased to announce the field by showing you another one of Teddy's Big Ole Brackets!
*Long walks over to the the right of the podium, pulls an ornate yellow cord, causing a curtain to fall, revealing a large tournament bracket with the words "LNWA National Title Tournament.*
The names in the tournament with their seeding were as follows:
#1. Macho Man Randy Savage vs. #16. Shane Douglas #8. Blackjack Mulligan vs. #9. Stan Hansen #4. Barry Windham vs. #13. Superfly Jimmy Snuka #5. Ricky "The Dragon Steamboat vs. #12 "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase
#2. Tully Blanchard vs. #15. Jake "The Snake" Roberts #7. Magnum T.A. vs. #10. Johnny Valentine #3. Dusty Rhodes vs. #14. Don Muraco #6. Mr. Perfect Curt Henning vs. #11 Rowdy Roddy Piper
Bill Apter: Folks, as you can see we have a mix of newly signed wrestlers who will be debuting Saturday night including Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, and finally Rowdy Roddy Piper all who will be vying to become the first LNWA National Champion. Tickets go on sale, immediately. So be a part of wrestling history, this Saturday with a special edition of Wrestling at The Chase.
*Screen cuts back to Gordon Solie in the Legends National Wrestling Alliance Tuesday Night News Studio. Solie looks at his notes and smiles before speaking*
Gordon Solie: Well there you have it, folks. We have a 16-man tournament to crown the first ever LNWA National Champion, and we have some fantastic recently signed talent that will be debuting at special edition of Wrestling at The Chase, live from Kansas City. It's going to be a sepctacular tournament that fans are not going to want to miss! Until next time, I'm Gordon Solie, and good bye from the Sunshine State!

Blanchard moves onto the second round where he awaits the winner of #7 Magnum T.A. vs. #10 Johnny Valentine. #4. Barry Windham vs. #13. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka
In our first upset of the night, and our third disqualification of the night, Barry Windham was disqualified after slamming “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka on the announce table at 5:38. Windham appeared frustrated after Snuka had dominated much of the early part of the match. Windham’s only offensive move was an attempted inverted atomic drop, which Snuka blocked. Windham kicked out of an attempted pinfall by Snuka following a power slam. Windham took one fatigue token in the match. Snuka moves onto the second round where he will face the winner of the #5. Muraco was able to kick out of the pinfall attempt, but was hit with a Stardust Piledriver followed by an ELBOW DROP, which Muraco kicked out of. However, Muraco was unable to kick out of a second ELBOW DROP. Muraco took five fatigue tokens and Rhodes took two. Steamboat used a variety of highflying moves to keep DiBiase off balance, and was in control for the vast majority of this crisp match. Virgil attempted to distract the referee during the three count, but was unsuccessful, and Steamboat put away DiBiase to advance to the quarter finals of the tournament where he will face #13. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka with a spot in the semi finals on the line! DiBiase took three fatigue tokens in the match. #6. Mulligan took four fatigue tokens and Hansen moves onto the quarter finals of the LNWA National Title Tournament, where he will face #1. “Macho Man” Randy Savage. #7. Magnum T.A. vs. #10. Johnny ValentineJohnny Valentine squashed Magnum T.A., fulfilling an “upset” prediction made by all analysts when they saw the tournament seeding, defeating Magnum by countout at 4:38, following an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER on the concrete floor. The match was all Valentine who was on offense for all but one move of the match, a blocked press slam by Magnum T.A. Valentine utilized three ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS inside the ring, and then executed a fourth outside of the ring, which caused Magnum T.A. to become busted open. Legends National Wrestling Alliance National Title Tournament Quarterfinals RoundWrestling at The Chase Special EventLive from The Chase Plaza HotelCommentators: Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and Gordon Solie. Ring Announcer Gary Michael Capetta Pre and Post Match Interviewers: Gordon Solie and “Mean” Gene Okerlund
#1. “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. #9. Stan Hansen
“Macho Man” Randy Savage defeated Stan Hansen by pinfall in 11:27 after two FLYING ELBOW SMASHES. The match was controlled by Savage throughout who put on an offensive clinic, giving Hansen eight fatigue tokens, busting him wide open following a pile driver. However, Savage’s victory was not the biggest thing that happened during the match. After Savage left the ring The Fabulous Freebirds came down to the ring through the crowd and began a three-on-one assault against Hansen, appearing to still be angry over Hansen and Bruiser Brody intervening in a post match beat-down executed by The Freebirds on Dr. Death Steve Williams, following a first round LNWA World Tag Team Titles Tournament loss. Security at the Chase Plaza Hotel quickly swarmed the ring as did LNWA officials separating Hansen from The Fabulous Freebirds before further serious injury could befall Hansen. This situation is quickly coming to a head between The Fabulous Freebirds and the rest of the LNWA. Savage secures the first spot in the semifinals where he will face the winner of #5. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and 13. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka.
#2. Tully Blanchard w/J.J. Dillon vs. #10. Johnny Valentine
In what was the best match of the night up to that point, Tully Blanchard defeated a busted open Johnny Valentine after hitting Valentine in the head with a pair of brass knuckles for the pinfall victory at 14:49. The match was back and forth and saw Blanchard kick out of two ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS by Valentine. Valentine also kicked out of Blanchard’s SLINGSHOT SUPLEX, but could not overcome repeated use of the brass knuckles that was somehow missed by the official. Blanchard doled out eight fatigue tokens while receiving five. Blanchard moves onto the semifinals where he will face the #3 “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes vs. #6 Mr. Perfect winner.
#3. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes vs. #6 Mr. Perfect w/Bobby “The Brain Heenan”
In a fun back and forth match, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes made Mr. Perfect submit in 16:27, with his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The match, which topped the Tully Blanchard vs. Johnny Valentine match that occurred just before it, was back and forth, with Mr. Perfect getting two pinfall attempts on Rhodes following a rolling neck snap and a standing dropkick. Rhodes powered out of both pinfall attempts, and got pinfall attempts of his own following the Flip, Flop, and Fly and an ELBOW DROP. On the first occasion, Perfect’s manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan interfered in the match to save his man from pinfall, and on the second attempt, Heenan distracted the referee, allowing Perfect time to kick out. However, Rhodes executed a second FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK in the center of the ring which caused Perfect to submit. Rhodes moves onto the semifinals where he faces the tournaments #2 seed, Tully Blanchard for a spot in the finals of the tournament to crown the first ever LNWA National Champion. Rhodes accumulated two fatigue tokens in the match.
#5. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. #13. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka
The Cinderella run continues for #13. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka who made quick work of Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, pinning him 7:12 following a second SUPERFLY LEAP. Steamboat could get little going on offense, even after “skinning the cat,” after Snuka threw him over the top rope. In the moments Steamboat started to get going on offense, Snuka left the ring and was able to take control back of the match. Steamboat accumulated seven fatigue tokens in the match, wearing a mask of crimson. He managed to kick out of a first SUPERFLY LEAP but could not survive the second. Snuka moves onto the semifinals where he will face #1 seed “Macho Man” Randy Savage for a birth in the finals of the tournament to decide the LNWA’s first ever National Champion!

Legends National Wrestling Alliance (LNWA) Tuesday Night News BREAKING NEWS BRIEF *A very 1980’s graphic moves across the television screen to a very new wave music accompaniment. The graphic reads “LEGENDS NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE TUESDAY NIGHT NEWS: BREAKING NEWS BRIEF” The graphic is followed by wrestling highlights beginning with Lou Thesz pinning Koko B. Ware; Harely Race piledriving Shane Douglas; Andre the Giant tossing multiple men from the ring in a battle royal; Ax and Smash of Demolition performing a Demolition Decapitation on Lex Luger, Ric Flair on his knees in the middle of the ring on his knees cradling the LNWA World Heavyweight Title with Commissioner Teddy Long, J. J. He pauses a moment, looking down at some notes on a sheet of paper, before looking up and smiling before he begins to speak.*
Gordon Solie: A good Wednesday Evening from the Sunshine State. I'm Gordon Solie, here with a special LEGENDS NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE (LNWA) Tuesday Night News BREAKING NEWS Brief.
*Solie looks into a different camera looks down at a small script, then looks up and continues speaking.*
Gordon Solie: As was announced last night during Legends National Wrestling Alliance Tuesday Night News, Commissioner Teddy Long would be holding a press conference with Bill Apter live from San Francisco's historic Cow Palace regarding the actions of The Fabulous Freebirds. That press conference occurred earlier this afternoon, and we have the video.
*Screen goes to black, before opening on a podium in front of the Cow Palace arena entrance. Bill Apter is standing behind the podium. A collection of wrestling reporters and photographers are standing waiting.*
Bill Apter: Good evening. Thank you for attending this press conference. Tonight, LNWA Commissioner Teddy Long will address the actions of a new tag team here in the LNWA, The Fabulous Freebirds and their actions at the last two LNWA cards. Long will read a prepared statement, and then he will be taking some questions. Ladies and gentlemen, Commissioner Teddy Long.
*Long strides up to the podium with a padfolio. He opens the padfolio, and looks toward the cameras and then begins to speak*
Teddy Long: Good afternoon, I am here today to address the behaviors of The Fabulous Freebirds, one Michael P.S. Hayes, Buddy Jack Roberts, and Terry Gordy since they, Hayes and Roberts, signed their exclusive contracts with the LNWA just prior to the start of the LNWA World Tag Team Title Tournament. Since their arrival, the Fabulous Freebirds have come from the crowd and ambushed Dr. Death Steve Williams, injuring him for eight total cards. They also ambushed Stan Hansen, and if not for the quick action of Chase Plaza Hotel security and LNWA officials, he could have also been injured. This, quite frankly, is unacceptable, and myself, and the LNWA Board of Directors needed answers. So, today, I summoned The Fabulous Freebirds to a meeting with me. And, they showed up. At the meeting, earlier this morning, I asked them to explain their actions. Hayes said the team was upset that only teams that had been world champions in the NWA/WCW; WWWF/WWF/WWE; and or the AWA were allowed to compete in the tournament. They said this was their "way" to get our attention.
*Long pauses to take a sip of water from a bottle of water on the podium*
Teddy Long: Speaking on behalf of the board, I told the members of the team "Hold on playas! While I understand the desire to get noticed, being upset with the Board of Directors for their decision about who could compete in the tournament, and I appreciate the fire that you are showing, this is not the way to get our attention. It ain't like that, and it ain't safe for our fans or our competitors." They appreciated the candor, and then asked about what the consequences were going to be for their actions. So, I told them. I told them that if it was up to me they would be suspended and barred from any LNWA arenas until Dr. Death Steve Williams is able to return - so seven more cards. The board of directors agreed with my proposal, however at the 12th hour, I got an interesting call. A call from three people: Dr. Death Steve Williams, Stan Hansen, and Bruiser Brody. The pleaded with me to not suspend The Fabulous Freebirds, but to put them on probation, and to schedule a match between Hansen and Brody vs. The Fabulous Freebirds to determine one of other three teams in the #1 Contenders Tournament at LNWA #1 Contenders. The board of directors liked this idea even more, so that's the route we went. And, the match will take place TOMORROW at the COW PALACE SUPER SHOW! I will now take a few questions.
Reporter 1: Commissioner Long, doesn't a lack of suspension for The Fabulous Freebirds just encourage their behavior? And, possibly providing a spot in the #1 Contenders tournament seems like you and the LNWA Board of Director's are encouraging their heinous behavior?
Teddy Long: Let me answer your question with another question. Do you think getting in the ring with Hansen and Brody is a reward? And, you know the LNWA's stance is to let our wrestlers settle things in the ring. This is the best way to ensure things will be safer for our fans and for our wrestlers, and to ensure that this is resolved.
Reporter 2: Commissioner Long, why are The Fabulous Freebirds and Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen in position to be in the #1 Contenders Tournament? And, who are the other two teams going to be?
Teddy Long: Who would you like me to place in the tournament? More teams that already had a shot in the original tournament? We already gave the runners up a spot. We are also going to allow the two semi-finals teams one-on-one match next week's Super Show, to try to get qualified, and then we have two new exciting teams that we were in negotiations with that will be involved in a match on the pre-show of the #1 Contenders pay per view. And, no, I'm not going to share who the two new signed teams are, that's for another press conference, baby!
*Bill Apter steps to the podium before another question can be asked*
Bill Apter: I'm sorry folks, but that is all the time Commissioner Long has. So, thanks for attending this important Legends National Wrestling Alliance press conference!
*Screen goes to black and Solie reappears*
Gordon Solie: Well, there you have it fans! The Fabulous Freebirds are on probation and they have a match TOMORROW, at the Cow Palace LNWA Super Show, against Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody to determine one of the final three teams in the LNWA World Tag Team Titles #1 Contender's Tournament at the LNWA #1 Contenders pay per view in June! Exciting news, and you heard it here first on a Legends National Wrestling Alliance TUESDAY NIGHT NEWS BREAKING NEWS REPORT! I'm Gordon Solie, and good night from the Sunshine State!
