Some real shockers in what has been an amazing tournament. I can't believe the Rock n' Roll Express are done! Even worse is Hansen & Brody being out! I never would have thought that these two teams would be ousted the way they were. Those dice can be heartbreakers but the fun now is seeing which team will take it all in the end.

Orton finally gets something going with a series of knee drops. Orton Jr. is in with a release double underhook and dropkick. A second dropkick sends Hawk towards Animalโs tag. Joey Morella gets the call to make the three count for this match. The opening minutes are back and forth with all four men seeing action. The Road Warriors and Ortons have 2 points each but fatigue and pin attempts give Hawk & Animal a narrow advantage. The team that can close out the round robin with a victory will likely advance to the knock out round. Looking ahead to the knockout round, the Quebecers will face either The Flying Redheads or Stars & Stripes.
Group G British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) v. Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams)
Joey Morella is again the referee and calls for the bell. The speed and skill of Kid dominates the action against Miller leading to a gut wrench suplex for a one count (R8/P4). Superplex from kid. Piledriver from Smith. Williams gets the tag into the action and scores with repeated stomps. A whip to the corner is reversed and Smith lands a kick. Delayed vertical suplex. Williams counters a clothesline in the corner with one of his own and both men go down. Smith is up first for a fisherman suplex. Kid is in and Wiillams gets the tag as well. Miller catches Kid with a back breaker. Back elbow ram is on target and a running knee to gut stuns Kid. The go to the floor. Miller grabs a chair but Kid takes it from the New Zealander and smashes him with it. Morella calls for the disqualification. The fans hate the call as the Sheepherders quickly gather themselves and escape to the back suddenly back in the tournament.

Thanks TTX. I would have never believed it would be the Quebecers who would have clinched a spot in the knockout round in a group that also included the Road Warriors and Vachons. I really have no idea who is going to get into the knockout round let along win the tournament. It seems that every roll of the dice and every decision made is critical.

Quebecers do not surprise me as they are pretty dominant champs for me. Once the reel off a series of double team it usually sets the tone for a match. The added bonus is the Hart color card which helps them quite a bit! Love those cards.
