Thesz seems to have multiple (3 if my count is right) in less than a minute. As the IC champ, any plans for him to have a shot at Backlund for the title and then vacate the IC belt?

"Who deserves the Hardcore Belt more than me? I can't think of anyone. Can you, Rock?" Piper looked at Muraco, but Muraco did not move at all.
"I didn't think so," Piper continued. "Oh! And if you're wondering where 'Ace' Bob Orton is, well I've got a bigger guy to fill that spot. Ain't that right, Rock?" Again, Muraco did not move. Piper asked Muraco, "Full of life today, aren't you, man?"
Turning back to the crowd, he continued, "The Rock is a man of little words, but he's obviously not very little!" THIS got a reaction from Muraco, as he slowly turned his face to Piper. "And another thing," Piper continued, "since the nickname 'Ace' is already taken, I think I will call you my 'Number Two' from now on!"
Now THAT made Muraco unfold his arms and take a step back as he took off his sunglasses.
"I'm just messin' with ya, Number Two," Piper said as he smiled and patted Muraco on the back.
"Getting back to business, there is a new sheriff in town, and his name is... PIPER!!"Thunderbolt Patterson VS Iron Sheik Patterson was on a roll, but then Sheik made a big comeback to take the first match. Iron Sheik won with a Sidewinder Suplex in 11:09. "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez VS Louis Albano w/B.Heenan Fernandez let his frustration get the better of him, and Albano picked up the win because of it. Louis Albano won when Fernandez was disqualified in a time of 6:31. HARDCORE TOURNAMENT ROUND 2 "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - No DQ Duggan was a tough opponent, but Piper was tougher as he got by Duggan to advance. Roddy Piper won with a Bulldog in a time of 15:42. "Rocker" Marty Janetty VS Don Curtis Curtis had an off-night, as Janetty was able to get his first win in the federation in this match. Marty Janetty won with his Finisher - ROCKER DROPPER in a time of 3:08. 2 Cold Scorpio VS Kurt Angle Not much of a match, as 2 Cold was DQed very early this time around. Kurt Angle won when 2 Cold Scorpio was disqualified in a time of just 0:40! HARDCORE TOURNAMENT ROUND 2 Bobo Brazil VS Don "The Rock" Muraco - No DQ Muraco looked to be on the path of victory, but Brazil managed a solid comeback to win here. Bobo Brazil won with his Finisher - COCO BUTT in a time of 7:45. "Macho Man" Randy Savage & "Leaping" Lanny Poffo (Team Savage) w/Elizabeth VS Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin (Team Angle) Poffo was not up to the task here, as Team Angle got the victory after a good match. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin won when Benjamin used his Finisher - PAYDIRT on Poffo in a time of 10:03. Road Warrior Animal VS Bruiser Brody A show of power here, as Brody out-lasted Animal's offense to take the win here. Bruiser Brody won with his Finisher - JUMPING KNEE DROP in a time of 9:07. HoF Intercontinental Champ Lou Thesz VS Gorgeous George - Non-Title George fell behind early and almost made a miraculous comeback, but it was not meant to be. Lou Thesz won with his Finisher - GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP in a time of 7:23. Road Warrior Hawk VS Gorilla Monsoon - STEEL CAGE Hawk threw everything at his foe, but Monsoon weathered the storm and prevailed in this one. Gorilla Monsoon won after using his Finisher - MANCHURIAN LANDSLIDE in a time of 9:58. "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig VS Nikolai Volkoff Volkoff dominated early, but Hennig quickly turned things around and got the victory. Curt Hennig won with his Finisher - HENNIG (PERFECT-) PLEX in a time of 3:51. HoF Heavyweight Champ Bob Backlund VS "Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase - Non-title A classic scientific encounter here, as Backlund was able to secure the win against a tough opponent. Bob Backlund won with his Finisher - ATOMIC DROP in a time of 10:29. "Mr USA" Tony Atlas VS Harley Race Atlas was focused, but that did not matter as Race was more determined to win this match. Harley Race won with a Back Suplex in a time of 11:40. HARDCORE TOURNAMENT FINALS Bobo Brazil VS "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - No DQ Brazil could not muster what was needed against the resourceful Piper, as Piper went on to victory here! Roddy Piper won with his Finisher - SLEEPER in a time of 12:25, thus Roddy Piper is the first-ever HoF Hardcore Champion!! HoF Tag Champs Rhino & Rob Van Dam (Team ECW) VS "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (Rogers' Corner) - TITLE BOUT As these teams took it outside the ring a number of times, a donnybrook took place and the ref DQed both teams! Sheik is on a ROLL right now. 1 loss to Backlund and other than that, he's been clearing the roster.
I feel like an obvious Muraco turn on Piper is in the works, but I feel like you could give us a Russo-like swerve "bro" and have something else up your sleeve

I will look into the matter and get back to everyone on that. Mr Thesz certainly has proven his worth as I-C Champ, but we shall just have to wait and see how long that lasts.
"Number Two, and more importantly, I've heard rumors that other wrestlers want to join this great fed here. In fact, I've been in contact with an ol' buddy of mine that says he wants in. That being none other than -- JIM CORNETTE and the MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!"
"But how is this fed going to accommodate any new influx of wrestling talent, I can hear you ask, yes? Well, an idea has been tossed around and we just may go with it: A two-tiered system with thirty wrestlers in the top tier and twenty in the lower tier! More details are forthcoming!

On the giant videoscreen appeared the logo below, and the Commissioner left the ring to return to the dressing room as the fans reacted to the logo...Thunderbolt Patterson VS "Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase DiBiase was in no mood to wrestle, and he got himself DQed in the first match. Thunderbolt Patterson won when DiBiase was disqualified in a time of 3:37. "Leaping" Lanny Poffo VS Iron Sheik Looking past Poffo proved to be Sheik's downfall, as Poffo picked up an incredible upset! Lanny Poffo won with a Victory Roll in a time of 5:43. Road Warriors Animal & Hawk VS Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin (Team Angle) Another big upset here as Team Angle put away the LoD quickly in this one! Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin won when Benjamin used a Springboard Clothesline on Animal in just 0:20! 2 Cold Scorpio VS Don Curtis Scorpio was too hot-under-the-collar and was DQed to give Curtis the win this time. Don Curtis won when Scorpio was disqualified in a time of 3:09. "Rocker" Marty Janetty VS Kurt Angle Another DQ here as Angle was too frustrated by the "You Suck!" chants as he walked to ringside. "Nice, huh?" he asked the fans in attendance. This division of the federation will be known as the Star Fighter Division! Brings back memories of the 1980's for me, yeah it does!
"I will have more detail on the on-goings of this federation as the time comes, don't you worry..."
Just then, the sound of bagpipes played and out waltzed the HoF Hardcore Champion "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!
"So this fed is going to have another division. Whoop-dee-do!" Piper started. "You know somethin' there, Foley? You talk of the 1980's and get all nostalgic. Do you remember what I was doing in the 1980's? I was bustin' Snuka's head open with a coconut, that's what! He hasn't been the same since!"
Foley's face soured. "Yeah, Piper. I remember. Hey, if you think you are such a tough guy, why not put your Belt on the line at the Pay-Per-View against Snuka? You don't have a match scheduled, and that's assuming that you make it to the Pay-Per-View with the Belt intact!"
THAT popped the crowd!
"Heh." Piper scoffed. "You think you are REAL clever there, don't ya? I will tell you what: I won't wrestle against Snuka, but he can be the referee. I'm just not sure he's smart enough to be able to COUNT to three!"
Foley rubbed his chin for a moment, contemplating possibilities. "You know something? I LIKE that idea --"
Piper interrupted Foley's train of thought. "And don't put me in against my partner, Muraco! I know you were thinking that!"
"Oh? And why not?" Foley asked, hamming it up a bit.
Then, from behind Piper, Muraco stood there and asked, "Yeah! Why not?"
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no," Piper shook his head. Piper stood there as Muraco started fuming. "Okay, you know what? If I'm still Champ, then I WILL face my buddy, Muraco!"
Muraco's face, now curious, looked over at Piper. Piper then whispered something to him, and Muraco began a slow smile that kept getting larger. Finally, Muraco nodded his head.
"Yeah," Piper turned back to Foley and said, "You tell that FIjian furball to be ready for the Pay-Per-View! He's going to never forget his time as referee, haha!"
With that, Piper and Muraco laughed all the way back up the ramp before the night's matches started..."Rocker" Marty Janetty VS Gorgeous George Janetty must have had a hot date waiting because this was over quick! Gorgeous George won when Janetty was disqualified in 1:44. 2 Cold Scorpio VS "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig Running on all cylanders, Scorpio was a house of fire as he picked up the win here. 2 Cold Scorpio won with his Finisher - THE DISS THAT DON'T MISS in 4:56. Buddy Rogers & Jimmy Snuka (Rogers' Corner) VS Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (Cold War Comrades) Buddy Rogers & Jimmy Snuka won when Volkoff was disqualified against Rogers in a time of 3:29. Bobo Brazil VS Don "The Rock" Muraco Muraco had a rough time, not being able to find a winning combination this time out. Bobo Brazil won with a Big Hammer Punch in a time of 6:41. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS "Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase Old rivals clashed here, with DiBiase more focused and resourceful than his foe as he got the victory this time. Ted DiBiase won with his Finisher - COBRA CLUTCH (MILLION $ DREAM) in a time of 7:08. HoF Tag Champs Rhino & Rob Van Dam (Team ECW) VS Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin (Team Angle) - Non-Title The quick win over the Road Warriors last time gave Team Angle a great confidence boost, and they won again here. "Macho Man" Randy Savage & Lanny Poffo (Team Savage) VS Gorilla Monsoon & Louis Albano (The Italian Connection) In a very good bout, Albano took to the top rope twice in a winning effort in this one. Road Warrior Animal VS Harley Race It took a herculean effort for Race to get by the always-tough Road Warrior, but he managed to do so. Thunderbolt Patterson VS "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez - TEXAS DEATH Fernandez figured this would be an easy win for him, but it turned out just the opposite as Patterson excelled here. The PPV will be played out on Saturday and posted on Sunday! -- Hall of Fame Federation CARD #9: An intense and frustrated Jimmy Snuka was pacing the outside of the ring before the night got underway.
"I'm so sick of this, bruddah!" he shouted into the microphone he held. "Piper and Muraco are making fun of the Superfly! They think I'm gonna take it? Well, bruddah, it's time for the Superfly to put an end to these two, once and for all!
"Nobody laughs at the Superfly, bruddah! Nobody!!
"Mick Foley wants me to referee their match? Fine then, I'll referee! But either of them gets out of line just ONCE, they're gonna pay, bruddah! They're gonna pay for trying to humiliate me in front of my fans!
"The Superfly's gonna make sure they don't make fun of ANYONE ever again, bruddah!"
With that rant vented, and the fans cheering wildly for the Superfly, Snuka returned to the dressing rooms without another word!Thunderbolt Patterson VS Kurt Angle Patterson was no match for his foe here, as Angle wrestled circles around him. Kurt Angle won with a Cross Body Block in a time of 6:20. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS "Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase - PIN ANYWHERE Battling all over the arena, it was DiBiase with his hand raised at the end of this one. Road Warrior Animal VS Don "The Rock" Muraco Muraco was in over his head here, as Animal simply mauled him from the opening bell to get the win this time. NUMBER ONE CONTENDER TOURNAMENT FOR HW & IC CHALLENGERS - FINALS Bobo Brazil VS Harley Race Race was visibly tired here, as Brazil was able to secure the victory here. THE GALACTIKINGS IN THE RING #1 PPV! 
Piper was at the set already, in a seated position as the lights came up. Muraco, Piper's partner and bodyguard was nowhere to be seen.
"So Jimmy Snuka is the confirmed guest referee. I don't know why Muraco thinks this a good idea, but whatever, man. I've got something--"
Just then, Jimmy Snuka appeared. He scowled at Piper with his eyes very wide and looking intense. He slowly approached Piper, looking to make sure he wasn't ambushed in the process. Slowly, he made his way to the set and cautiously sat down next to Piper.
"You know, Jimmy, the last time you were on the Pit, you didn't leave a happy guy. Not happy at all."
Snuka, still glaring at Piper, replied, "I will call the match you have with Muraco tonight right down the middle. Don't, I repeat, DON'T do something that you will regret, because I have an insurance policy if you do."
"'An insurance policy'? What are you talking about?" Piper asked, befuddled.
"You'll see, bruddah! And trust me, you don't me cashing in on that policy!" Snuka exclaimed and stood up and walked away, using the same caution he did as when he arrived.
Piper scoffed. "Am I supposed to be scared at this point? I'm the Hardcore Champion!"
With that, Piper stood up and looked at the camera and added, "Stay tuned, everyone! Tonight, you will be witnessing wrestling history!"Thunderbolt Patterson VS "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez Patterson was ill-prepared for Fernandez's offense, as Manny got a fairly easy win to start off the night. Manny Fernandez won with his Finisher - FLYING BURRITO in a time of 3:36. "Rocker" Marty Janetty VS "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig A frustrated Hennig could not get the upper hand here, so he got himself DQed. Marty Janetty won when Hennig was disqualified in a time of 4:04. 2 Cold Scorpio VS Gorgeous George An upset win for George here, as Scorpio started out great, but George's comeback won the match. Gorgeous George won with a Gorgeous Grip in 6:11. HoF Tag Champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin (Team Angle) VS Gorilla Monsoon & Louis Albano (Italian Connection) w/Heenan - TITLE BOUT Monsoon gave it a great effort, but the Champions had all the luck here and beat the challengers in a great bout. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin won when Benjamin used his Finisher - PAYDIRT against Monsoon in a time of 10:20, thus Haas & Benjamin retained the HoF Tag Team Belts! "Mr USA" Tony Atlas VS Don Curtis Atlas' power game played no factor in Curtis' effort to get the win here. Don Curtis won with his Finisher - SLEEPER in a time of 7:35. HoF Hardcore Champ "Rowdy" Roddy Piper VS Don "The Rock" Muraco - TITLE BOUT (No DQ) Surprisingly, the match went off without a hitch, as Piper was able to put an end to any chance of a Muraco win here. Roddy Piper won with a Swinging Neckbreaker in a time of 5:03, thus Piper retained the HoF Hardcore Belt! After the match, Snuka raised Piper's hand in victory. The defeated Muraco suddenly sprang to his feet! He charged at Snuka with a clothesline, but Snuka was too fast, and Muraco clotheslined Piper instead! -- WHAM -- Down went Piper!
Snuka quickly hopped out of the ring, and was immediately joined by his 'insurance policy'...
 BUDDY ROGERS!!
"Say hello to my lil friend, bruddah!" Snuka exclaimed as Rogers stood by his side. "HE is my insurance policy!"
Piper, now fully recovered, grabbed a microphone that appeared at ringside seemingly out of nowhere. "Oh I get it now. Your tag partner is your insurance policy. I should've realized. It wasn't that tough to figure out. Say, Nature Boy, you didn't have a match tonight, and neither did Snuka, while Muraco and I literally poured a ton of sweat on this mat right here. What say we have a little imprompto match at the end of the Pay-Per-View, huh, old man? My Belt won't be on the line, just a regular singles match. Just you and me, huh?"
At this point, Muraco jestured a "chicken taunt" at Rogers, naturally.
Buddy, turned and looked at the crowd for approval. The fans cheered wildly, and Buddy smiled. Snuka nodded his approval as well, obviously wanting to tear into both Piper and Muraco.
"You know what, Piper? You got it!" Rogers told him, and he and Snuka retreated back to the dressing room.
Curiously, neither Piper nor Muraco looked all that concerned. They seemed to look as if everything was going according to plan..."Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Elizabeth VS "Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase Savage's concern over a pre-bell attack on Elizabeth by DiBiase led to Savage's downfall in this one. Ted DiBiase won with his Finisher - COBRA CLUTCH (MILLION $ DREAM) in a time of 4:32. HoF Intercontinental Champ Lou Thesz VS Harley Race - TITLE BOUT Cheating rather blatantly is what cost Race the match, as he was DQed to give Thesz the win. Lou Thesz won when Race was disqualified in a time of 9:04, thus Lou Thesz retained the HoF Intercontinental Belt! "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS Iron Sheik - LUMBERJACK MATCH Duggan was not as fast as he needed to be in this one, as Sheik was able to secure the victory in this one. Iron Sheik won with a Belly-to-Back Suplex in a time of 8:26. HoF Heavyweight Champ Bob Backlund VS Bobo Brazil - TITLE BOUT The longer the match went, the more tired Brazil looked and Backlund was not going to let the Belt slip away here. Bob Backlund won with his Finisher - ATOMIC DROP in a time of 13:04, thus Bob Backlund retained the HoF Heavyweight Belt! 
Muraco finally made an appearance, steel chair in hand. He brawled with Snuka outside the ring for a bit as the action continued in the ring.
Rogers managed to slap his Finisher, Figure Four Grapevine, on Piper! Then Muraco made a move to break this up but was CLOCKED by Snuka! The Superfly quickly ascended to the top rope and turned to face Muraco, who was getting to his feet outside the ring. And then --
The Superfly soared! But he lepted off the top rope and landed a perfect Superfly Deathleap on top of Buddy Rogers!!
The crowd was STUNNED! The Superfly began to rain down with closed fists to the head of Rogers, as Rogers began to bleed all over the mat!
Piper and Muraco joined Snuka in the gruesome beatdown of Rogers, and it took the arena's full team of security to pull them all apart!
When Piper, Muraco, and Snuka retreated and were at the top of the ramp that led back to the dressing room, Snuka had (by then) a microphone in his hand and said to the crowd, "I'm so sick and tired of being made fun of, so I did something about it, bruddah! There's an old saying on Fiji that goes, 'If you can't beat them, JOIN them'!"
With that, Snuka received a chorus of boo's from the fans, and THAT concluded the Hall of Fame's first-ever Pay-Per-View!!
