Seeing reports that he has apparently signed with AEW! Time will tell...

I think this is great for BD. He doesn’t feel like just another ex WWE guy signing just for the sake of it. AEW is the perfect place for him at this stage in both his life and career. He can wrestle in Japan, get all of that out of his system and work a really relaxed schedule (like Moxley) in AEW. Really the perfect place for him after absolutely doing it all in WWE.
I think Daniel Bryan is one of the most interesting stories and characters in WWE history. He was Mr. indy wrestler forever and ended up not only WWE champion, but he main evented Wrestlemania. He was also one of the most over guys of the last decade. I think he might be the most successful pro wrestler ever strictly in terms of conquering all of his goals. He was the king on the indies then the king of WWE and now he gets to call his own shots in AEW. He has achieved total freedom in life which is truly a sign of success.
Looking forward to Bryan vs Omega.

Wholeheartedly agree with you, Rob. I honestly hope this isn’t just a rumor. But, if they do land Danielson and then follow that up with Punk (also rumored), things might get real interesting for WWE, who always seem to thrive with legit competition. Winning the “war” was the worst thing that ever happened for Vince, in my opinion, right along with taking the company public and answering to share holders.

I would think he has unfinished business in WWE. But maybe he wants to do the NJPW thing too w Omega and Bryan.

It definitely seems that he values his freedom and his integrity over a paycheck, that’s for sure. Would be a major story if he returned to any ring that didn’t say WWE in the middle of it.

I’m betting he’s still getting a wwe size paycheck lol

Reports a circulating CM Punk & AEW have an agreement and are planning to meet to ink the deal.
Well, that's interesting!? Thoughts?

I think the problem is WWE is too scripted and I think has kind of lost their way. I would have gone to MLW or ROH but you're gonna get money from AEW and freedom to do what you want.
WWE too much structure, AEW no structure. Two extremes. Seems like theres a big analogy to life right now right there.
I really want AEW to be good but it just has so much different things going on that sometimes get paid off later, on another show or too quick. I'm a big Punk fan and I hope he gets to do what he wants and they dont rush him or ruin him.

I’m not sure what to think about Punk. I thought he was wrong the way he quit. He said a lot of horrible things about both wrestling and wrestling fans when he left. Called fans homophobic slurs. Told them to kill themselves. Got beat up in two real fights. Frankly I’m surprised he decided to come back. But I do think it’s good for wrestling. There usually isn’t a lot to talk about with big names coming and going like this.
I actually think Bryan is the much bigger and more successful star than Punk. He surely succeeded farther in WWE than Punk. Punk seems like an unfinished piece of work while Bryan feels like a true fully accomplished star.
I think Bryan is the bigger signing but because Punk did the whole pipe bomb thing I think fans are more interested in him.
If he shows up in AEW and does the anti-WWE thing it will be a huge waste and dumb as hell though. I’m so beyond bored with wrestlers complaining in general.
