After going up 4-0 against the Sharks we have been outscored 17-5 and lost those 3 games. I hope we can turn it around tonight and Kane gets his first win as a Wing.

Holy crap we almost blew another 4-goal lead. We were up 5-1 against the Flyers and they came back to take a 6-5 lead. We were able to tie it up and take the game to a SO where we finally won. Not sure if we need better goalies or blue line help to take some of the load off of the goalies but something needs to improve in that area if we want to go far in the playoffs.

Wings beat Vancouver who were tied for most points going into today on the season. Granted it was a home game for us and we needed OT but we did it. We need to rack up points to get a strong hold on the Wild Card spot. Love to see us in the playoffs again even if we get beat in 1st round. Been far too long since we have been in the playoffs. Sorry we beat your team paul just not too sorry.

I'm gonna watch the highlights later tonight as I want to see the overtime penalty shot that beat us. Plus, I want to see the head shot that got Nikita Zadorov kicked out of the game; hopefully Lucas Raymond is OK for you guys. I hope to see the Wings make the playoffs too. Especially if it comes at the expense of the Maple Leafs.

The Wings signed Michael Rasmussen to a 4-year contract extension for $12.8M. He was due to become a RFA at the end of the season. I do not follow hockey as much as I did last century but it seems a good deal to me. He is 10th in points on the team although he is tied with Kane, so it is more like 11th seeing how few games Kane has played with us. The main things is he will be only 29 when the contract expires and he is second on the team in +/- at +11. So, not a big scorer but a good two-way player.

Not that we don't want him but I think he may want to play out the year, see how he feels and then test the market. Of course, if he is tired of moving and is happy in Detroit then it is possible they get a deal done soon. I just feel like he will wait it out till the off season and see what his options are.

Agreed, I don't expect him to re-sign right now, but he's happy in Detroit and doesn't need to chase a cup, so hoping we can get another year or two of him.

The Wings were done 1-0 to Colorado then came back to tie it in the 3rd. Won it in OT. Kane had the game winning goal. Big win because Colorado is a top team, and the 2 points pads our lead in the Wild Card race. Not only that, but Tampa lost so we moved close to topping them for the top Wild Card spot. Fingers still crossed but looks like we might make the playoffs this season.

They looked good against the Blues yesterday. Nice to see Ben Johnson at the game too.
