I got my Tigers ticket for tomorrow against the Orioles. I am sitting in Section 121. Hope you enjoy the game. You messed a heck of a pitching duel last night. Looks like another one today. Odds are tomorrow will be an offensive explosion. I was going to point out you are missing the Lions game but tickets are way more expensive and that is even if the game is not sold out which it probably is. |

Nah, let the Yanks have the division. Let them go into the playoffs feeling invincible. It will be just that much sweeter when the Orioles or someone else knocks them out of the postseason.  |

We are 6 games ahead of last years pace with 13 games to go. The problem is we went 8-5 down the stretch last year and not sure we can do that this year. Still one more game with Baltimore in this series than we have three on the road at both KC and Baltimore before ending at home with three against Tampa and Chicago White Sox. The last three should be easy but the other ten will be tough.

I was going to point out you are missing the Lions game but tickets are way more expensive and that is even if the game is not sold out which it probably is. yeah, it looks like it will be very busy downtown today with both the Tigers ansd the Lions playing right across the street from each other, if I was here two weeks later with the exact same situatuon then I would definitely be going to Ford Field instead as that is the day your Lions play my Seahawks for the third consecutive year (I think all 3 in Detroit too?) |

Olson came back and cruised through the first couple innings. Then he got roughed up in the 3rd. Our hitters kept fitting back and we got a nice win. That is 78 on the season. Ties last years total so beyond a total collapse we will improve from year to year. Finishing over .500 seems likely as well.

The Tigers are now only a half game back of the Twins for the third wild card spot.
Since my Blue Jays won't be making the playoffs this year I'll be pulling for Detroit the rest of the way.

Appreciate it. We still have work to do. It might come down to last series. Minnesota is home vs Baltimore who might still be fighting for division or even Wild Card placement. We are home vs White Sox who might be playing for respect. Or just wanting to end their season and start vacations. If we get in postseason our pitching staff will make us a tough team. |

We are now tied for the last Wild Card spot with Minnesota and we both have 9 games left. It will be a dog fight till the end. We might pull it out but if not we still had a good season all things considered and can look to next year to be a really good one. But our work is not done this year quite yet.

CBS was mostly picking the Twins to win the last spot so...Go Tigers.
