I also hope Turnbull can come back strong next season. He could/should be a solid 4th starter for us. Then you just need Manning to be a guy who can at least eat some innings and hold down the 5 spot.

We lost 13-0 yesterday. My God do we suck. Actually, we only half suck. We have no hitting. Our pitching, especially when healthy, is pretty good. Yesterday was just the staff breaking down from overuse. You know a guy is doing good when he gives up 2-3 runs in only one inning and his ERA is still under 3. If we get out starting pitching healthy and find some damn hitting we will be competitive in the league. |

Tigers have scored at many runs today as the last NINE games combined. Maybe Greene was the missing ingredient for our offense but I doubt that is the case. This is just one of their big scoring outbursts then they go back to struggling.

Also, Cecil Fielder in the broadcast booth yesterday was pure comedy gold! So many great memories revisited. TIGAZ!!!

Yea I am guessing the offense explosion the last two games has to do with Greene in the lineup. Either that or the manager has started stealing signs again.  |

Tough loss by the Tigers but I like that they were competitive on the road against a good team in Boston. Moving Baez to the 2 spot seems to have got him going. Hopefully he can keep it going. Also, Miggy hit good. The pitching staff had a bit of an off night but not horrible. Hopefully we can pull out a win tomorrow.

I looked at the depth chart currently for our starting pitching and had to laugh. Only one name was on there at the start of the season and he is #1 when he started around 3-5. Yet, like today, we keep finding some good starting pitching. This season is just about a wash but hopefully next year we can come back strong and stay healthy.

If only Javier Baez could have got a hit in the nightcap. The Tigers would have had every starter get a hit in 2 of the last 3 games. They did it against KC in the last game in that series. They had 8 of 9 get a hit in the nightcap.
