I think I figured out how to turn the Tigers into contenders next season. I am going to call the Pope and invite him to Detroit so he can Bless our boys. So, do any of you happen to have the Pope's cell number?

A good sign for next season, Manning since coming back from IL has pitched in five games and in three of them, he gave up 1 run or less including two where he gave up no runs.

Aaron Judge has more HRs this year than the top four HR hitters on our roster combined. Sigh.

Everyone is making a big deal out of Aaron Judge hitting his 61st homerun, meanwhile Miggy hit his 507th.

The Tigers got rid of their hitting coach. Gee, what a blow to our team. Sorry if my sarcasm broke anyone's sarcasm detectors.

Max Scherzer returned for the Mets and pitched in Detroit today and it was not a warm homecoming for him. He was out after 4 innings. Here is the crazy thing about the Tigers so far this year. They have not played good, even bad at times, yet if not for the AL East they would be rocking. Their record so far against the AL East is 2-14. Their record against everyone else is 10-3. AL East has been KILLING us. Then again they have been killing everyone so far. The Yankees are in last in the division yet their win % is at .516 and the AL East has three teams at .600 or better.

Don't look now but the Tigers are in 2nd in the division and only 3.5 games out of first. Not bad for a bad team. Some of the guys that let us down last year are finally starting to step up. Who knows, if we can get Casey Mize back healthy and performing like a top pitcher as we hoped he would be and either a couple more bats warm up or we bring in a couple hot bats we could be decent and might push for a playoff spot.
