Card # 7 From The Rhode Island Auditorium, Providence, RI
Red Berry vs Billy Varga - Berry was a virtual no-show. What chances he had to go on the offensive, he botched. Hollywood Billy did not squander his opportunities, offering up a convincing performance, finishing off the Redhead with an Abdominal Stretch. VARGA WINS BY SUBMISSION
Danny McShain vs Gory Guerrero - Two tough hombres from the southwest faced each other in the next contest as Arizonan Gory Guerrero squared off with Texan Danny McShain. Both performed up to their reputation. Guerrero seemed to have the win, but could not quite execute La De A Caballo, as McShain wriggled out. Shortly later, the Texan sent Guerrero out of the ring, crushed him into the ring post, tossed him back in the ring, and ended it with a piledriver. MCSHAIN PINS GUERRERO
Johnny Valentine vs Jim Londos - Johnny Valentine impressed his previous time out. Against veteran Jim Londos, Valentine would impress by his ability to survive. Londos controlled the match from the opening bell. Despite it all, Londos could not seem to finish off the young Valentine. Submission hold survivals, near pinfalls, Valentine eventually succumbed to a Boston Crab in the center of the ring. LONDOS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Freddie Blassie vs The Blue Demon - Freddie Blassie gets his first taste of Luchador wrestling. It turned out to be a double tequilla shot, it hit hard and was over that quick. Blassie found himself on the mat early on when Demon suddenly locked him up in a stunning rocking chair hold. Blassie had no choice but to concede. DEMON WINS BY SUBMISSION
Heffernan & Costello vs Fenton & Hart - The tag team match is a new facet of action in the GWA, but we see one team already perfecting the craft. The Aussie team of Costello and Heffernan worked like a fine tuned machine in this match, quick tags, in and out, ambush double team moves, all had the Canadians, Fenton and Hart, reeling. They capped the match with an entertaining doubleteam boomerang maneuver on a helpless Rod Fenton. COSTELLO PINS FENTON
Chief Don Eagle vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - BEST OF 3 FALLS - The newly crowned champ took the ring for his first title defense. His opponent was a surprising choice to some, Chief Don Eagle. The first fall quickly ended such talk, as Eagle looked to be at least the equal to Nagurski, putting the Champ to the mat twice only to have Nagurski kick out. Nagurski would rally, hitting a spinning neckbreaker to get the pin. Eagle would recover in the second fall, maintaining the momentum, and put Nagurski's shoulders to the mat. Don Eagle would begin the deciding fall with a flourish, dominating Nagurski, but unable to finish him. As in the first fall, Nagurski scrambled to save his reign, executing a rollover suplex small package pin combo. NAGURSKI WINS IN SPLIT FALLS

Card #8 From Boston Garden, Boston MA
Danny McShain vs Maurice Tillet - This one proved to be the brawl it was expected to be. Fight fans rejoiced, wrestling fans cringed. The brawl would pour out onto the arena floor, where Tillet connected with a chair shot across the ref's back. MCSHAIN WINS BY SUBMISSION
Black Shadow vs Bull Curry - After the opening brawl, the fans next witnessed Bull Curry. The wild man was not able to turn this one into a brawl, as the Lucha practitioner put on a high flying wrestling exhibition. To finish it off, the Shadow inverted Curry in La Alejandrina, then dragged him along the mat, pressing down for the pin. SHADOW PINS CURRY
Stu Hart vs Don Leo Jonathan - Coming off of a tough tag loss, Stu Hart would take the ring alone against the Mormon Giant. Jonathan proved too massive for Hart to manage. One too many atomic drops in a short span proved to decide it. JONATHAN PINS HART
Lord James Blears vs El Santo - The British noble versus the former Lucha champ. Blears did manage to put together some competent offense, but the contest was never seriously in question. Santo was eventually able to lock in La De A Caballo, and forced Blears to tap. SANTO WINS BY SUBMISSION
Lou Thesz vs Fritz Von Goering - Another former champion taking on a European hopeful. The result would be the same. Von Goering would prove to be a tough opponent, but never threatened to upset Thesz, who would apply a vicegrip hammerlock, and take his opponent to the mat, managing a pin while holding the hammerlock. THESZ PINS VON GOERING
Gorgeous George vs Antonino Rocca - The Argentinian Rocca entered the card looking like a fast rising potential contender. Gorgeous George would exit the ring looking like a Championship contender in his own right. This match was another case of the veteran educating the rookie, as George controlled the action throughout. The Human Orchid would lock on his infamous toehold to draw the bell. GEORGE WINS BY SUBMISSION

Card # 9 From Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Angelo Poffo vs Al Costello - Not a matchup you'd expect to devolve to a nasty brawl, but that's what we got, as Angelo Poffo and Al Costello squared off. The action was fairly even until a sudden flurry from Poffo sent Costello out of the ring. Poffo followed, and whipped Costello into the announcer's table, then administered a backbreaker along the edge of the table. The ref saw enough and called for the bell. COSTELLO WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Bull Curry vs The Sheik - As surprising as a brawl was in the first match, it was assured in this one. The wild man Bull Curry against the dangerous Syrian, Sheik Farhat. It was not long before The Sheik appeared to splt Curry's face open across the bridge of the nose. A bloodied curry oddly responded by fighting a legitimate wrestling match, until The Sheik scrambeld outside of the ring to regather himself. Curry chased, and managed to steal The Sheik's spike, then cut Farhat's forehead open. He then followed him into the ring, where he pummeled The Sheik with a series of punches to Sheik's head, sending bloood splattering, before pouncing on the prone bloodied Sheik for the pin. CURRY PINS SHEIK
Yukon Eric vs Antonino Rocca - The Massive Yukon Eric squares off against the athletic Antonino Rocca. As the match goes on, Eric seems to be wearing down Rocca, taking advantage of his size advantage. However, he cannot finish him off, as Rocca twice fights out of a powerful bearhug. Rocca manages to get his second wind, rallies, and finishes the match with his Argentinian Backbreaker. ROCCA PINS ERIC
Roy Heffernan vs Verne Gagne - This one would appear to be a mismatch, as Gagne has impressed at every opportunity, and Heffernan has underwhelmed as a single performer. Gagne was taking over the match as expected, when Red Berry unexpectedly appeared at ringside in street clothes and holding a cane. Sure enough, Berry hopped onto the ring apron as Heffernan backed Gagne to the turnbuckle, and struck Gagne across the shoulders with the cane. The shot sent Gagne to his knees, where Heffernan wrestled him to the mat and locked on a wicked toehold. HEFFERNAN WINS BY SUBMISSION
Gorgeous George vs Johnny Valentine - Gorgeous George's transformation into a legitimate contender continued tonight against the promising yet unimpressive Johnny Valentine. Just as Valentine appeared to get the upper hand, George literally scratched and clawed his way out of harm, eventually wrestling the momentum away, and locking on his own vicious toehold. GEORGE WINS BY SUBMISSION
Jim Londos vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - BEST OF 3 FALLS - These two veteran grapplers were surprisingly meeting for the first time in their careers. The Champ would shortly take command in the first fall, controlling the match, and securing the pin with a German suplex. In the second fall, Nagurski picked up where he had left off, starting the fall with a body slam and two power slams in rapid succession. Londos made a valiant attempt to fight back, before another impressive powerslam finished him off. NAGURSKI WINS IN CONSECUTIVE FALLS

Card # 10 From the Main Street Armory, Rochester, NY
Stu Hart vs Red Berry - The match started off slow, as both looked for an opportunity to pounce. Both put together some offense, but weren't able to take the momentum. Stu Hart found his opportunity, with a sudden flurry of offense, sending Berry scrambling out of the ring to get it back together, but Hart followed him out, and administered a beating, then outraced Berry back to the ring. HART WINS BY COUNTOUT
Gory Guerrero vs Maurice Tillet - A matchup of tough veteran grapplers again poured outside the ring, where Tillet smashed his opponent off of the crowd barrier, the ring stairs, and the announcer's table, leaving Guerrero unable to retreat to the ring before the ref's count finished. TILLET WINS BY COUNTOUT
Rod Fenton vs The Crusher - This matchup of brawlers fit the flow of the evening to this point. The two put on an entertaining fight. The Crusher eventually wore down Fenton, who scrambled to grab a set of brass knuckles, only to awkwardly fumble with them, dropping them just as the ref approached to check on him. Fenton left the ring, embarrassed, as the ref raised Crusher's hand. CRUSHER WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Buddy Rogers vs Chief Don Eagle - A season ago, Rogers was looking like a contender, while Don Eagle was wallowing in the midcard. Time can do some interesting things. The Buddy Rogers we seen now cannot be imagined beating Nagurski. Don Eagle once again took care of business, gaining the win by pinfall, as the mystery of Buddy Rogers' lost career continues. EAGLE PINS ROGERS
Billy Varga & Freddie Blassie vs Black Shadow & Blue Demon - The GWA's Tag Team environment continues to take shape, with another entertaining exhibition. Hollywood Billy Varga and Classy Freddie Blassie looked like a well drilled team in their second exhibition, as did their Luchador opponents. momentum went back and forth, as both teams tagged in and out to stem the tide. Eventually, Blue Demon found himself in trouble on the wrong side of the ring, and Blassie finished him off. BLASSIE PINS DEMON
Don Leo Jonathan vs Killer Kowalski - An interesting matchup of two very large violent men would be the main event tonight. The match would not disapoint, as at various points, both men appeared to be on the verge of victory. Kowalski would fight back from the verge, getting Jonathan in a headlock, and wound up for a withering punch to the face that dropped the Mormon to his knees. Kowalski then executed his prone opponent with a knee to the head for the pin. KOWALSKI PINS JONATHAN

Card # 11 From the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY
Johnny Valentine vs Bull Curry - Bull Curry and Johnny Valentine would put on an entertaining straight up wrestling match, with Curry eventually taking the advantage. Valentine would scramble out of the ring to gather himself, only to be pursued by Curry, who grabbed a folding chair. The referee intervened, and Curry relented, climbing back into the ring, only to take a left turn, and exit the ring again. By that time, Valentine now had Curry's chair, and smashed it across Curry's back. The ref called an end to the match at that point. CURRY WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION.
Billy Varga vs Gory Guerrero - Gory Guerrero would meet Hollywood Billy Varga in our next contest. Guerrero would control the early action in the ring, narrowly missing his La De A Caballo, sending Varga sprawling out of the ring to avoid the move. Guerrero would chase Varga out of the ring, where Varga would get the jump on Guerrero, sending him across the ringside stairs, then executed a backbreaker that bounced Guerrero's head off the timekeeper's table. The ref called for the bell, disqualifying Varga. GUERRERO WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Verne Gagne vs Red Berry - After being ambushed by Red Berry his last time out, Verne Gagne demanded a match against Berry, and was granted his wish. Gagne would waste no time in getting his vengeance, eventually putting Berry away with his sleeper hold, not releasing until he was sure Berry was unconscious. GAGNE WINS BY SUBMISSION
Yukon Eric vs Chief Don Eagle - Chief Don Eagle and Yukon Eric would give us the probably match of the night. The two struggled for several minutes, with momentum swinging back and forth. Eric slammed Eagle to the mat, only to have Don Eagle chop Eric to his backside in the corner. Eventually, the larger Yukon Eric would smash Don Eagle with his Kodiak Krunch, and secure the pin. ERIC PINS EAGLE
Angelo Poffo vs Killer Kowalski - This would be one for the little guy, as the outsized Angelo Poffo scored an upset win over Killer Kowalski. Every Kowalski offensive was met with a crafty counter. Poffo managed to floor the Killer with a top rope neck snap, then pounced for the shocking pinfall. POFFO PINS KOWALSKI
Antonino Rocca vs Danny McShain - Tonights main event would be a matchup of unexpected contenders, Antonino Rocca and Danny McShain. In McShain's biggest match of his career to date, he gave far and away his best performance, controlling the match from the opening bell. When McShain seemed to end the match with a piledriver, Rocca somehow avoided the pin, and escaped outside the ring, only to have McShain stalk him outside the ring, and administer a second piledriver on the arena floor. Then, to make a statement, he threw a prone Rocca back into the ring to execute another piledriver. MCSHAIN PINS ROCCA

Card #12 From The Coliseum, in Baltimore, MD
Buddy Rogers vs The Sheik - Our opening match tonight pits two underperforming talents together in a fight for redemption. Buddy Rogers looked like a new man, as he was a twitch quicker at every opportunity. Rogers dismantled his foe, and wrapped it up with a figure four leglock. The Sheik had no choice but to tap. ROGERS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Lord James Blears vs Rod Fenton - The Upper Class Snob would meet Lightning Rod Fenton in the next match. It would not be a good night for the Snob, as Fenton punished Blears at every angle. A series of precision drop kicks left Blears sprawled out on the mat for the pin. FENTON PINS BLEARS
The Crusher vs Al Costello - The Crusher issued a statement tonight, in his demolition of Al Costello. Crusher overpowered the Aussie, sending him to the mat with a loud and impressive power slam. Costello struggled to get to his feet, tumbling out of the ring. Crusher followed, administering several punches, knees and forearms, before tossing reentering the ring. As he stood there, waiting as Costello reentered the ring, he wound up and connected with a Bolo punch just as Costello got to his feet. Costello flipped back, and was out cold. The pin was a formality, the ref could have counted to forty. CRUSHER PINS COSTELLO
El Santo vs Blue Demon - These two Lucha practitioners squared off against each other, and provided the crowd with easily the match of the night. Both hombres exhibited great athelticism, incredible grappling skill, and showmanship, but neither could secure a pin. The timekeeper had the final say in this one, and both men got a standing ovation after a great showing. TIME LIMIT DRAW
Jim Londos vs Freddie Blassie - Freddie Blassie showed no class in his bout with veteran Jim Londos. Blassie used everything in his arsenal, down to rope drags, chokes, and even biting. Londos escaped to the outside, only to be followed by Blassie, who flung Londos into the ringpost. As the ref attended to the prone wrestler, Blassie picked him up and threw the ref out of his way. The ref called for the bell before he even made it back to his feet. LONDOS WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Gorgeous George vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA World Championship - 2 out of 3 Falls - Gorgeous George's impressive run of high quality performances came to a screeching halt at the worst possible time. Champion Bronko Nagurski left no doubt as to the outcome of this one from the opening bell, levelling George with a powerful football tackle as George attempted to stall. In short time, Nagurski had George on the mat, took him by the leg, and administered his modified crab. End Scene 1. The second fall proved to be nothing more than a continuation of the first, Nagurski putting George in his place again and again, and finishing him with the crab. NAGURSKI WINS IN TWO STRAIGHT FALLS
