Cornette recently blasted Moxley over his 6 man tag match against Green and bear country. Cornette said
"Moxley, he's the one to blame here. He can't even have a match with job guys. They jump-started a match with job guys on the floor, and while Darby Allin and Anthony Greene were in the ring trying to do wrestling spots, everybody else was fighting on the floor with the referee paying no attention to what was going on on the floor.
"It was an excuse to put the babyface on the show, but why do you have to have six-way chaos in a match with job guys? It looks like every other f**king match. He's incapable, Moxley, of having any other kind of match whatsoever. So, you know, it wasn't horrible because there was names, but it wasn't a good match," Jim Cornette revealed
While I don't agree with Cornette a lot I do agree mostly here. Except his recent" forbidden door" matches, the few 6 man tags have the exact same formula. Brawl brawl brawl at ringside then a few spots for the win. It's a random pairing for the sake of it at this point as well just to get them on TV and fill a slot. Keep him and Eddie as a team, give them a proper run or give them some time off tv instead of pointless 6 man tags.
I know there is talk of a 6 man tag title being introduced but booking 6 man tag squash matches is not the way to get people interested in its possibility

Just not sure why he is putting this on Moxley. I might be wrong but there have been other matches like that without him involved.

Yeah I'm not sure why he was giving all the blame to Mox. I know Mox has input to his creative but I doubt he has that much of a say. I do think they were over doing the filler 6 man tags matches and agree with corny on that

I assume he's putting the blame on Moxley because these types of things are the hallmark of Jon Moxley's recent matches. I'm sure he didn't book the whole match or anything but the things Cornette is ragging on are typical Jon Moxley things.
And since we're critiquing Jon Moxley, the guy needs to fix the Paradigm Shift. It looks SO lazy. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's supposed to be a double underhook DDT. Mox just basically grabs under the opponents armpits and falls backwards.

I think he went to AEW for the big pay and low expectations/part-time schedule. He seems to have phoned it in big time not long after arriving. And while I’m here - Punk and Bryan have been quite the disappointment (especially Punk). Who waited 7 years to see Punk vs Hobbes and Daniel Garcia? Hopefully they pull the booking job away from Meltzer now after his Bryan vs Nick Jackson personal dream match drew their lowest ratings ever.

I guess Moxley has that every guy, dude you hang out at a bar with appeal. I did not see his work before The Shield and was put off all three initially by the way they booked The Shield when they debuted. I think he is slowing down partly due to his age and partly due to being a dad now. That is the problem with a wrestler being more of a brawler/hardcore fighter. When they slow down they do not seem as good/cool. A technical wrestler that takes chances while younger can slow or stop the high spots but still do the technical stuff.

It's funny like he has average matches like the 6 man stuff but then with the Japanese guys they are bangers and his upcoming deathmatch with Gage it feels like the old Moxley. Ki da feels like he is lost a it in AEW without a storyline.
On a side note I've been happy with the booking of punk and Bryan. Punk should not been in the world title picture and I'm happy to see him work with the young upcoming guys. Same with Bryan. He is around the main event but not fully in it but out of the 2 Bryan deserves the main event over punk having been wrestling alot more recently
