Impressive run by Natural Selection in that tag team gauntlet... But, exceptional teamwork by Osirian Portal prevented them from reaching the gold.
And I always enjoy seeing the Anarchist in action... Beating Edwards for the title in typically chaotic fashion... Awesome stuff!

MAIN EVENT CHANGE AT THE REC ROOM!
With the shocking Ontario Title win by Arik Cannon at The Gauntlet, the Ontario Title Match main event at “Bring the Ring, We’ll Bring the Fight” has been changed and now will be a Three May Match with new champion Cannon defending against both former Champion “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards and Erick Stevens! Regardless of the outcome of the title match, Edwards is still looking for some payback against Stevens for his attack on Edwards back in September and the two will clash one on one at the London Music Hall on November 20th as part of "London Calling." But will that match be for the Ontario Title?

GAUNTLET REMATCH AT THE REC ROOM!
Natural Selection had an incredible run at the Gauntlet but came up short in running the table and capturing the Ontario Tag Team Champion but their performance was certainly strong enough for an immediate championship return match with the eventual Champions Osirian Portal. That match will be part of the double main event at “Bring the Ring, We’ll Bring the Fight”

NIGEL MCGUINNESS COMES TO THE MUSIC HALL!
Nigel McGuinness has won championship gold in virtually everywhere he has competed and he will be looking to bring that championship pedigree to Retro Indy Wrestling when he makes his debut at London’s Music Hall as part of the “London Calling” card. His first challenge will be no easy task however as he steps into the ring with Tyler Black.

Lots of fun stuff lined up... Still stoked that Cannon won the belt and hoping he retains in that three-way dance against Edwards and Stevens.
Also cool that Nigel has joined the roster of talent... But, his debut will be tough indeed!

Card 05: November 19, 2022 – Bring the Ring, We’ll Bring The Fight – The Rec Room, Toronto, ON
Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) defeated Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) with MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK on Mark Briscoe after about 11 minutes of non-stop action. The Bucks hit Jay Briscoe with a MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK early but could not get the pin. The Briscoe Brothers battled back. A DOUBLE FOOTBALL TACKLE on Nick Jackson almost ended it but Matt Jackson saved his brother. Jay Briscoe ended up cut off but survived another MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK and later kicked out after a MOONSAULT from Matt Jackson and was saved after a 450 SPLASH from Nick Jackson. Both teams exchanged slams off the of the corner late with the Bucks able to double up on Mark Briscoe to get the win as the pin save was blocked. *****
Tyler Black downed Sweet ‘n’ Sour Larry Sweeney with a PHOENIX SPLASH. Black took control of this one right at the bell but he missed a PHOENIX SPLASH which allowed Sweeney to take over the bout. A Bionic Elbow gave Sweeney a two count but Black was able to come back connecting with back to back to back Enzugiris. Black did not miss his second attempt at his finisher and claimed the win after 5 minutes. **
Ultramantis Black bested Icarus with a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB after only two minutes of action. The pace was quick from the bell with the match going to the floor. Black cracked Icarus with a chair earing some heat. Black took the fight back to the ring and hit his finisher back to back to claim the win. *
Natural Selection (Brian Cage & Shaun Ricker) w/Percy Pringle III downed Ontario Tag Team Champions Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) by count- out after 8 minutes. This was a classic match up of power v. speed. Ricker and Cage did some damage early including a D.T.B. to Amasis by Richker before the champions made a strong comeback. The referee was knocked down by a deathjump and while the official was out, Amasis looked to have the match won with an EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION to Cage. The referee recovered and Ricker took the action to the floor running Amasis back first into the steel post. Amasis could not regain the ring before the ten count. ** ½ Drake Younger put away Necro Butcher in a wild Deathproof Match with a DRAKE’S LANDING after seven minutes. As you would expect, most of this one was contested at ringside. Younger choked out Butcher with a chain early on. Both men launched chairs at each other. Butcher’s charge into the railing went wrong and sent the Butcher hard into the steel. Butcher countered an attack on the floor and put Younger through the timekeeper’s table with back drop. Younger returned the favour just moments latter putting Butcher through a merch table. The action returned to the ring and Younger planted his foe with his finisher dead center in the ring for the win. ****
Quacksaw (Jigsaw & “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush) defeated Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero “That Young Knockout Kid”) by disqualification. Castagnoli and Hero were able to cut off Quackenbush for the first half of the match but a Cravate Buster did not get the win before Jigsaw was able to get the hot tag and turn the momentum of the action. Hero’s attempted LOADED ROLLING ELBOW did not work against Jigsaw. Later, Hero just barely kicked out after a Jig ‘n’ Tonic from Quackenbush. Castagnoli took the fight to the floor against Quackenbush and the big Swiss competitor shoved aside the referee to keep up his attack and was disqualified after 13 minutes. Quacksaw cleared the ring with dropkicks as the fans cheered. ** ½
Cheerleader Melissa downed Saraya Knight by disqualification after 13 minutes of competitive action. The first half of the match was closely contested and went back and forth. Melissa was able to take control after an altercation on the floor in which Knight was whipped into the post. Melissa took over the action but could not put away Knight after an AIR RAID CRASH and later after back to back KUDOH DRIVERS. The fans were out of their seats several times. 27A curb stomp only resulted in two count and the action again when outside where Knight was able to catch Melisa with a backdrop that put Melissa through the ringside table. Melissa is left in a heap as the fans boo Knight out of the building. ****
Ontario Champion Arik Cannon retained against “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards & Erick Stevens in a 3-Way Match when Cannon pinned Edwards after 19 minutes. What a match. All three competitors were able to have their opportunities to shine and gain near falls over their opponents. Pin saves were common as all three men used their finishers throughout the match. The finish came after Edwards took out Stevens with back to back DIE HARDS and Cannon was able to smash Edwards breaking the cover. Cannon then hit an ANARCHIST HAMMER on Edwards for the three count with Stevens still down from the assault by Edwards. ****

Unfortunate the Kings were unable to convert their strong effort into a victory... But, I'm very happy the Anarchist was able to retain his title in the main event... Great stuff!
