Card 06: November 20, 2022 – London Calling – London Music Hall, London, ON
Chuck Taylor defeated Ethan Page w/Selezyia Sparx with an OMEGA DRIVER. Page was able to showcase some power early including a deadlift suplex but Taylor stormed back including a Cross Crab and Sole Food. Page kicked out of a cover and Sprax caused a distraction after an OMEGA DRIVER. Taylor kept on with it a pair of somersault suicide dives and then hit his finisher again after about five minutes for the win. * ½
Lufisto bested MsChif in a wild brawl with a BURNING HAMMER after 15 minutes. The fans new they were in for something special when the bout opened with an exchange of headbutts. The action when back for forth in and out of the ring. Lufisto used a series of rear naked chokes to slow down MsChif but the action went to the floor where Lufisto ate the ring post and was busted open. MsChif controlled with choke slams, Gates of Hell and three Gateways to Annihilation but could not get the victory. Despite her laceration, Lufisto came back with flurry of chops and jabs. MANGALIZER did not get the job done and a pair of Diving Star Headbutts landed. A cannon ball to the corner of the railing at ringside stunned the crowd and lead to the finish when Lufisto connected with a BURNING HAMMER for the win. *****
Arik Royal defeated Necro Butcher in a hard hitting battle in about 11 minutes by disqualification. Both men showed they were not afraid to mix it up as you would expect. Royal controlled early throwing around Butcher with suplexs and then using a cloverleaf to slow things down. The action went to the floor and Butcher took over with a slam into the ringside table. Royal managed to survive back to back NECRO BOMBS and then kicked out after CHOOSE DEATH. Butcher was caught on the top and slammed to the mat turning the match momentum. Outside, Royal slammed Butcher into the ringside table smashing it to pieces. Royal dominated including a pair of cloverleafs and a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster. The action went to the floor again and Butcher used a piece of the broken table to choke Royal earning a disqualification. *** ½
Tyler Black crushed Nigel McGuinness with a PHOENIX SPLASH in less than three minutes. Black took the immediate control of this match and hit his PHOENIX SPASH for a huge near fall. GOD’S LAST GIFT followed but did not get the job done. Black went back to the top and the match was over. DUD
Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) downed Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero “That Young Knockout Kid”) by disqualification when Hero was caught attempting to use a LOADED ROLLING ELBOW. Just a classic encounter between two of the best tag teams on the scene. Plenty of key tags and double teaming as you would expect. Mark Briscoe survived a RICOLA BOMB from Castagnoli and later Hero connected with a ROLLING ELBOW SMASH on Mark Briscoe for a near fall. Mark Briscoe was able to catch Hero attempting to load his elbow pad. The Briscoes crushed Hero with a SLINGSHOT LARIAT for a near fall and then Mark Briscoe hit his CUT-THROAT DRIVER but Castagnoli made the save. The Kings battle back but a KRS ONE to Jay Briscoe did not get the pin. Hero was finally able to load his arm bad but the official caught him and ended the match. His loaded smash laid out both Mark and Jay before the Kings left the ring to huge heat. ****
“Die Hard” Eddie Edwards pinned Erick Stevens in just about five minutes. Stevens had been a thorn in the side of Edwards for some time and managed to get the immediate upper hand hitting a SARASOTA SCREWDRIVER in the opening minute. Edwards survived and battled back with a chin checker and tiger suplex leading to a DIE HARD. Stevens kicked out and Edward planted him with another Tiger Suplex for the three count. **
Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) downed Ontario Tag Team Champions Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) to win the titles when Nick Jackson pinned Amasis after a 450 SPLASH. The pace to this match was incredible as you would expect. The champions were able to cut off Nick Jackson and Ophidian used his Death Grip to do some damage. Matt Jackson was eventually get into the match but missed a MOONSAULT turning the momentum of the action back in favour of the champions. SNAKE CHARMER to Matt Jackson had the fans roaring and the following OSIRAN CONNIPTION should have ended it but Nick Jackson made a timely save. Matt Jackson took a beating including a pair of Death Grips from Ophidian before Jackson was able to catch Amasis on the top of the corner and slam him to the mat. Nick Jackson tagged in, leapt to the top and hits his finisher to win the titles in a shocking comeback after 14 minutes. ****
Ultramantis Black defeated Ontario Champion Arik Cannon to win the title with a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB after about four minutes of action. Black was able to counter Cannon’s early offense and then struck with an Argentine facebuster. Cannon was stunned and Black took full advantage with his finisher to win the belt. DUD
