**2/12/2022 GNW ON TOUR(8) Fairmont,MN**

Great North Wrestling rolls into the Fairmont High School gym for another bone-jarring card!......winners are in ALL CAPS............

ATTENDANCE: 5,600

BRIAN SAGER:Good evening Fairmont Minnesota! What a great card, 6 big matches including your main event an INTER-STATE title-shot match RVD vs. THE IRON SHEIK.....LET'S DO THIS!!!!!

1.Bob Sweetan vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN.
These two men are no strangers to each other,and it was obvious from the bell that there was bad blood between them. Sweetan and Duggan lock up, but that was the only "wrestling" move in the match.It immediately turned into a pier-6 brawl, all punches,stomps and kicks. The action goes outside where Sweetan puts Hacksaw into the post and through the table..as he grabs the chair....he is DQ'ed by the ref, but continues his assault...security pulls the two apart, Duggan staggers back to the locker-room looking like anything but the winner...Duggan by DQ Time:6:30.

2.Sailor Art Thomas vs. JOHNNY VALENTINE
Thomas was brought his strength game and used it well gaining a pin attempt with a powerslam, but only gets a 2 count. Valentine turns the tide side-stepping out of the corner when Thomas attempted a splash...one suplex and a clothesline off the ropes and Valentine pins Thomas after using his ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Time:8:40.

3.BRAZIL/AHMED JOHNSON vs. Valiant Bros.
The Valiants jump on Ahmed early,tagging in and out with precision with a couple of pin attempts. Finally Bobo gets his chance and works over Johhny and gets a near fall after a COCO BUTT. Soon all 4 men are fighting in the ring. AHMED gets the pin with a SPINE-BUSTER, keeping the Duo of Brazil/Johnson undefeated in tag-team competition. Time: 20:19.

4.King Kong Bundy vs.Tatanka DOUBLE DQ.
This one never really gets started, Bundy charges at the bell powerslams Tatanka and gets a quick 2 count but the big Indian powers out....Bundy tries a splash but Tatanka moves out of the way...and goes outside the ring. A brawl ensues and both men are DQ'ed Time:3:25.

5.Ernie Ladd vs. SGT. SLAUGHTER. Sarge wins by DQ.
A solid match from 2 grizzled veterans. Ladd uses some elbows and well placed kicks to slow Sarge down. Slaughter fights back in true soldier fashion slams Ladd to the mat and tries to lock in his COBRA CLUTCH. Ernie manages to escape to the outside, and Slaughters follows him...it ends out there in a disqualification as Ladd refuses to release a blatant choke-hold. Both men continue to bash each other all the way to the back.Time:12:40.

*******INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH******

The Iron Sheik vs. RVD.
This was the match of the night! As both men used their strengths to the best of their abilities.The Sheik used his strength and every dirty trick in his arsenal getting a 2 count on RVD, with a snap suplex. RVD used his aerial game and superior speed to make a human pretzel out of the Iranian. After a splash through the ropes onto the kneeling Sheik, Van Dam tosses his downed opponent back into the ring, executes a perfect deathjump and gets a 2 and three-quaters count....then after a side-slam into the corner RVD uses a 5-Star Frog Splash to get the pin and the Inter-State Title shot.Time:22:15.

GENE: WE are just one day away from our next GNW ARENA EVENT....CABIN FEVER on Valentine's Day at the FARGODOME in Fargo,ND...bell-time 6pm. 8 huge matches and 2 Championships on the line...we will run it all down for you right after these messages!

GENE: Welcome back fa..(OX BAKER enters and grabs the mic).......

Baker: Yes Okerlund...it's me the Fantastic OX BAKER....and tomorrow night OX BAKER will do what he does better than anyone....HURT PEOPLE! Not only will I drive this fist through MR.WRESTLING II,and win the INTER-STATE belt, get the gurney ready he is headed to the hospital, maybe even the morgue! Do yourself a favor and just leave the belt outside my dressing-room door...and live to fight another day!That way anyone who cares about you won't have to see you get your brains beat in.....( Baker storms off)

GENE: Another impromptu tirade by one Ox Baker...we shall see if he can back up that threat against GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION..Mr. WRESTLING II in Fargo tomorrow night!....here's the whole card for CABIN FEVER!!!

GNW storms into the FARGODOME for the second time with another awesome night of wrestling action! A Valentine's Day to remember! winners will be in RED.

ATTENDANCE: 13,703

MEAN GENE: WELCOME wrestling fans here in the great state of NORTH DAKOTA! Great North Wrestling would be nothing without our amazing fans! (crowd chants G.......N......W, G.......N......W...etc.) We have 8 big matches including OX BAKER vs. the INTER-STATE CHAMPION MR. WRESTLING II for the gold, and your MAIN EVENT "NATURE BOY" BUDDY ROGERS squares off against GNW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION HARLEY RACE.....and much, much, more. So, let's get this show started, shall we?

1. AL SNOW vs. "MAD DOG" BUZZ SAWYER.
This wasn't much of a contest as SNOW attacked effectively from the opening bell. Sawyer was unable to catch his breath before he was pinned by a FLYING CROSS-BODY
after a previous failed pin attempt (sunset flip) by SNOW. TIME: 6:27.

2. BUDDY ROSE vs. AHMED JOHNSON.
Rose starts the action early attacking Johnson when he wasn't looking, with a barrage of fists taking his opponent to the mat. Knowing his only way to victory is keeping the much stronger Ahmed on the mat, he kicked, stomped and choked with early success. After a leg-drop ROSE attempts a pin but Johnson flicked him off before the ref could get into position to count . Rose pulls Ahmed to his feet and hurls him into the ropes, readies for a back-drop, BUT Johnson stops short and delivers a crushing POWERBOMB. With ROSE now motionless on the mat, AHMED delivers a perfect PEARL RIVER PLUNGE and gets the 1,2,3. TIME: 8:30.

3. MAGNUM T.A. vs. JOHNNY VALENTINE.
This match was epic! Both men were on their game and back and forth it went. Hold for hold, punch for punch, kick for kick. The cagey J.V., soon begins to take control
with a brutal ground and pound assault getting a near pin after a clothesline to Magnum off the ropes. When that failed, he tried another pin after a running BODYSLAM 1...2...but Magnum kicks out again. He sends Magnum into the turnbuckle, and charges, in desperation Magnum rushes out of the corner and executes a perfect BELLY TO BELLY for the pin. TIME: 12:15.

4. GREG " THE HAMMER" VALENTINE vs. RANDY "MACHO MAN" SAVAGE. Winner gets an INTER-STATE title shot.
Valentine, not faring well since his debut here in GNW, got the control early using of course brute strength. With several boots, and well-placed knees, he had SAVAGE on the ropes early. Randy ducks under ropes dodging an elbow-drop and the action goes outside. Both men are brawling uncontrollably the ref starts the count out. SAVAGE takes a chair to the back and THE HAMMER tosses him back into the ring, bringing the chair with him. After a couple more shots with the chair, the ref has no choice but to disqualify VALENTINE. SAVAGE wins by DQ getting the INTER-STATE title shot. TIME: 10:25.

MEAN GENE: All I can say is we are just getting started!!!! WE have to take a short intermission, and then the great action continues here at the jam-packed FARGODOME!!!

5. DICK MURDOCH/KILLER KOX vs. POWERS OF PAIN (WARLORD/BARBARIAN). Winner gets a TAG-TEAM title shot.
Early on it was a competitive match, things looking good for MURDOCH/KOX, and Murdoch gets a two count on the Barbarian after a scoop-slam. As soon as Dick makes the tag to KOX things begin to go south for the good ole boys. Soon WARLORD/BARBARIAN are delivering power move after power move, tagging in and out to stay fresh. Kox who couldn't get over to tag his partner, bravely kicks out of 3 pin attempts. Finally, the POWERS OF PAIN use a double-team clothesline off the top rope and get the win before Murdoch can make the save. Get ready ROAD WARRIORS, THE POWERS OF PAIN get the title shot! TIME: 13:17.

6. NICK BOCKWINKEL vs. "KILLER" KOWALSKI. WINNER gets a GNW WORLD title shot.
Match of the night so far, a real good contest between two deserving men. Bockwinkel the cerebral tactician (who doesn't mind bending the rules when necessary) and KOWALSKI the brawling bruiser who also heeds the rules when he wishes to do so. Nick uses the scientific approach but can't get the bigger Kowalski to submit via ABDOMINAL STRETCH or with his SLEEPER. Even a cradle with a handful of tights can't get Bockwinkel the duke. Soon he tosses the Killer out to the floor, then acquaints KOWALSKI with the ring post, then the railing. Dodging DQ or COUNT-OUT, the action returns to the ring. After a reverse Irish-whip....Kowalski delivers a vicious knee to the mid-section then a clubbing forearm to the back of Bockwinkel's head sending him to the mat. Once there, Kowalski gets Bockwinkel to submit after several claw holds to the stomach and head. KOWALSKI gets the title shot. TIME: 21:30.

       ******************SEMI-MAIN EVENT GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP******************

7. OX BAKER vs. (CH) MR. WRESTLING II
Ox dominates this contest from start to finish, smothering Wrestling II with his power and size. Aside from a brief use of an arm-bar, Wrestling II had no answer to counter the brutality of BAKER. After slamming his opponent on the floor outside, Baker goes back into the ring.....and delivers his HEART PUNCH. Surprisingly, II manages to kick out before the 3-count but the damage was done. Baker uses a neck-breaker to deliver him the win with the 1,2,3. Time: 8:57. MEAN GENE: YOUR WINNER AND NEW GREAT NORTH WRESTLING INTER-STATE CHAMPION OX BAKER!!!!... the crowd boos and jeers and OX raises the belt high and flips the bird. Then he walks confidently to the back.

8. "NATURE BOY" BUDDY ROGERS vs. (CH) HARLEY RACE.
Rogers who lost the inaugural GNW WORLD TITLE match to RACE charges the champ and punches his way to an early advantage. A dazed RACE is thrown into the corner, and ROGERS charges in for the kill.......BUT race evades the maneuver, and the NATURE BOY crashes into the post....as he staggers back the CHAMP delivers a neck-breaker followed by his patented PILEDRIVER....and in short order this one is over. Obviously, Rogers fared better in the first match where he nearly won using his superior technical skills. Why he abandoned them this match is a mystery to all. TIME: 6:10 MEAN GENE: YOUR WINNER IN 6 MINUTES AND 10 SECONDS, AND STILL THE GREAT NORTH WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION HARLEY RACE! This is true, fact is Savage hasn't really impressed much yet....but he is due!!!!!
