IT was a crazy night of action in Sioux City Iowa! Here are the results..............

The drought between victories for young star Buff Bagwell is over. He wins tonight over the always tough Cowboy Bob Ellis. Bob was hard for Bagwell to handle in the early stages, and at one point a frustrated Buff, nearly got counted when he walked towards the back. After thinking better of it he races back to beat the ref's count. Then after using his power game to wear Ellis down, he finally defeats the cowboy, using his finisher the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER.
Time: (8:42).

In an entertaining match-up of youth versus experience....neither would win in our second contest that pitted Barry Windham against Big Bill Miller. These two men battled the full 20 minutes, and nothing was resolved. Windham (3 tokens) and Miller (2 tokens), both had their chances to secure the win, but both men failed. In fact, both men were in the center of the ring exchanging blows, when time expires. Both men shake hands , but vow to square off again soon. 20 MINUTE TIME-LIMIT DRAW.

Former GNW WORLD Tag-Team Champs THE RUSSIANS (Ivan/Nikita Koloff), stormed into the Tyson Events Center hell-bent on delivering a message to all the tag-teams in GNW, that their recent dethroning isn't the end of the Koloffs, and that THE DOGS OF WAR, will be made an example for all to see. Sgt. Slaughter/Ranger Ross with the backing of the crowd were ready to wage war as well. This was an amazingly brutal battle. Slaughter nearly pins Ivan after a savage beatdown with his SLAUGHTER CANNON, but Nikita makes the save. The Russians storm back with an offensive rebuttal of their own with NIKITA nearly taking SLAUGHTER'S head off with a RUSSIAN SICKLE, but Sarge gets his leg on the rope. In and out of the ring this one went back and forth. After a 4-man in ring melee, NIKITA, with Ivan tossing Slaughter out of the ring, drills ROSS with a SPEAR! Then the Russians use their double-team finisher The ELEVATED RUSSIAN SICKLE to get the 1,2,3. Time: (9:44).

*****INTERMISSION*****

In the upset of the night, and a possible GNW MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE, THE BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN defeats former 2-Time World Champion JOHHNY VALENTINE! It was CRAZY! Valentine did everything he could, but VALIANT just took it all, and kept on coming! After nearly getting pinned several times, even receiving Valentine's ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER, the crowd spurred Jimmy, giving him the strength to kick out! Out of nowhere Valiant is able to lock on his SLEEPER, and out goes Johnny's (2 fatigue) lights! Valiant (4 tokens) parties with his "PEOPLE" all the way to the back. Time: (15:58).

**World Tag-Team Title Shot Match**
The ROAD WARRIORS destroyed The British Bulldogs tonight in Sioux City. They can now set their sights on regaining the straps from current GNW CHAMPIONS (Bad News Allen/Brickhouse Brown, THE B&B DESTRUCTION CO.). The bad Boys from Chicago, were not to be denied as they steamrolled over Davey Boy and The Dynamite Kid. The Bulldogs are former champions themselves, but you would hardly know it by their performance tonight. Only one sustained bit of offense from the Brits, then it was all THE LEGION OF DOOM. In a brutal display Hawk pins Davey Boy after a well executed DOOMSDAY DEVICE from THE WARRIORS. Time: (7:48).

**GNW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH**
Austin Idol's latest attempt to sit upon the GNW throne, is unsuccessful as he falls tonight to the newly crowned (DOG DAYS OF SUMMER) champion Ed "Strangler" Lewis. Ed was the consumate professional tonight and gets the hard fought victory. He kicks out of Idol's PILEDRIVER not once but twice, and avoids THE LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK altogether. The Strangler uses a slow methodical gameplan and carefully picks Austin apart. After some extensive punishment it is LEWIS' STRANGLER HEADLOCK that gets him the win

Thursday night it was sheer bedlam, as Great North Wrestling rocked the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.........

Chris Colt rose to the occasion and defeats youngster Brad Armstrong. Armstrong wrestled hard, and had Colt on his heels. But Colt kicks out of Armstrong's RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP and comes back to win. He puts Brad down for the 3-count after an impressive TOP ROPE ELBOW DROP! Time: (9:40).

King Kong Mosca unleashed his rough and tumble style and DOG of WAR member Sgt. Craig Pittman fought bravely against it, but eventually loses tonight in St. Paul. This was a real brawl, between two bad hombres! In the end Mosca's size and raw strength was too much for Pittman this night. Angelo pins the Sgt., after 2 BIG NASTY ELBOWS!! Time: (8:37).

Yukon Eric and Moose Cholak pick up a disqualification victory over Sister Sherri's team of Booker T and Stevie Ray aka., HARLEM HEAT! Booker and Stevie went right after their larger opponents showing no fear whatsoever. They punished both Moose and Eric with excellent teamwork. But YUKON GOLD wasn't going down without a fight. This one spills out of the ring where Booker T is disqualified for using a chair on Cholak! Time: (9:14).

**********INTERMISSION**********

Wilbur Snyder continues his steady rise in the ranks of Great North Wrestling, by beating the always tough "Crippler" Ray Stevens. In a back and forth wrestling clinic, it was Snyder's(3 tokens) ABDOMINAL STRETCH that surprisingly makes Stevens(2 fatigue) submit.
Time: (14:21).

***GNW WORLD TITLE SHOT MATCH***
The "King of Men" and former GNW WORLD Champion FREDDIE BLASSIE loses his cool and his chance to regain the belt! A gutsy Curt Hennig was able to withstand everything that Blassie put in his way! In an ugly display a frustrated Blassie is DISQUALIFIED for refusing to release a blatant choke-hold. Even after losing Freddie continued to assault Hennig, busting him open with a chair. Security had to come out and remove Blassie from the arena, as the ringside physician tended to a bloody but victorious Curt Hennig. Time: (11:25).

**GNW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP**
THE LEGION OF DOOM have regained the GNW Tag-Team straps for an unprecedented 3RD time. Ellering's duo came in and destroyed Bad News/Brickhouse (B&B DESTRUCTION Co.), and wrested the belts from them in impressive fashion. Animal and Hawk were never really tested in this match, and they were firing on all cylinders!! Brutal double-team beatdowns were handed to both Brickhouse and Allen and they were not able to generate much offense of their own. In the end Animal covers Brown for the 1,2,3.. after a decapitating DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!!! Time: (9:57).

Corp. Kirchner(3 tokens) stands tall in victory as he takes down Kevin Sullivan!! It was a hotly contested match and both men were giving it their all. In the end it was THE DOG OF WAR, Kirchner after receiving a brutal beating from "The Taskmaster", even escaping his dreaded TREE OF WOE....pinning Sullivan(1token) with a SMALL PACKAGE ....Time: (7:51).

The Dirty White Boy, in a gutsy display of grit and determination defeats Hercules Ayala tonight in front of the rowdy Portland crowd! Despite Ayala's significant power advantage, The Dirty White Boy prevailed. After a reflex-action low-blow (no DQ) abruptly stops Ayala in his tracks....The DWB quickly uses his BUCKSNORT BLASTER for the 1,2,3.....
Time: (8:33).

With the crowd firmly on his side, it was a big night for The Ragin' Bull, Manny Fernandez! He is the first man to derail The dastardly Englishman Lord Alfred Hayes. Hayes came into tonight undefeated so far in GNW, but tonight he got his come-uppance! Manny explodes in a barrage of offense and Hayes had no answer for it. Fernandez tired of Alfred's constant cheating, after several impact moves, uses his trusty, reliable FLYING BURRITO to get the pin. Time: (10:26)

**********INTERMISSION**********
NOTHING was resolved in our tag-team feature between The ROCK-N-ROLL EXPRESS and THE HEART-STOPPERS!! Baker and Stasiak attacked Gibson and Morton before the bell, and the match went straight downhill after that. The referee, after giving both teams ample time to gain control of themselves (without success) has no choice but to DISQUALIFY both teams as they took the battle out to the arena floor!
Time: (6:30).

**GNW WORLD TITLE SHOT**
Jimmy Valiant, looking to keep the momentum of his big victory over former 2-Time World Champion JOHNNY VALENTINE (9/5/23), hoped get a shot at current GNW WORLD CHAMPION Ed "Strangler" Lewis in the near future. BUT he needed to win tonight, and STAN HANSEN did not accommodate The Boogie Woogie Man wishes. The big Texan was as mean and nasty as ever. He plowed over Valiant's offensive offerings with sheer brute force. They fought inside and outside of the squared circle with Valiant getting the worst of it. Hansen after slamming Jimmy on the floor, tosses him in and uses a LARIAT to seal the deal. AFTERWARDS Hansen grabs the 🎤 and tells ED LEWIS to hand over the GNW strap and save himself the pain and embarrassment. Time: (10:28).

*GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH*
AJ Styles (current GNW I.S. champion), proved he is for real as he successfully defends the belt (his second defense) beating the ever popular LEGEND, Antonino Rocca! After shaking hands these to wrestled a masterpiece! Both men used everything in their respective arsenals, and they wowed the crowd in attendance. Chain wrestling, high-flying, impact moves....this classic had it all. STYLES (4 fatigue) escapes ROCCA's (5 tokens) ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER twice, and ANTONINO shrugged off a STYLES CALF-KILLER two times, plus a pair of SPIRAL TAPS...but couldn't (after over 30 minutes of constant action) escape from the STYLES CLASH!! AJ after his victory shakes Rocca's hand and raises it high with his as the crowd goes wild!!
WINNER and still GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION. ...AJ STYLES!!!

Elton John said it long ago, "Saturday Night's alright for Fighting" and boy was it ever last night , when Great North Wrestling arrived for the first time ever in Spokane! A near sell-out crowd witnessed this epic event, here is how it went down........

Dino Bravo was the better man in the opening contest as he defeated Samoa Joe. In this test of strength confrontation, that nearly went the distance (15 mins), it was Dino (2 tokens) coming out the victor, as he pinned JOE (2 tokens) after being the first man to his feet after a DOUBLE clothesline put both men on their backs late in this one. Bravo manages to muster enough strength to use his AIRPLANE SPIN on Samoa Joe for the victory!
Time: (14:14).

Tiger Conway Jr. wrestles his way to victory over Baron Von Raschke! Young Tiger, was resilient, and stormed his way back after a tremendous beating at the hands of the big nasty German. After totally confusing Raschke with quick but effective moves, Conway Jr. executes a textbook HURRICANRANA..for the 1,2,3.....Time: (8:27).

Big Bobby Duncum storms his way past Diamond Dallas Page last night in Spokane! The Big Texan punished Page and avoided the DIAMOND CUTTER twice, on his way to the win. After a brief out of the ring melee, that ended in his favor, Duncum tosses Dallas back into the ring and went in for the coup de gras. He nearly drives DDP 's head through the mat with his bone-crunching BULLDOG!

**********INTERMISSION**********
Things picked right back up after the break in our tag-team feature between The Moondogs (Spot/Rex) and The Flying Redheads (Lyons and Bastien). It was a close one, but skill wins the day over brawn in this one. After taking some heavy doses of pain and agony from the DOGS....Bastien makes the hot tag to his partner Billy Red Lyons, and he takes it from there. After dropkicking a charging Spot over the top-rope to the floor, Billy slaps the SLEEPER HOLD on Rex for the win!
Time: (9:55).

These two have collided in some real slobber-knockers in the past here in Great North Wrestling, and we can add another one to the history books! Last night in the Spokane Arena, once again, The Magnificent Muraco and Barry Windham let loose in an epic clash! In a spectacle of beautiful wrestling, and ugly brutality it was a back and forth battle between GOOD and EVIL. This night with the full energy of the huge crowd behind him GOOD wins out, as BARRY WINDHAM defeats Muraco. After a huge comeback offensive, Windham brings down Muraco with a devastating LARIAT for the pin!!! Windham (3 fatigue, Muraco 2).

*GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT**
(Johnson vs Stevens vs Snyder)
The evening's festivities concluded with an amazing 3 way dance between some solid veterans, with a shot a GNW Inter-State gold going the the victor! Rocky Johnson, Ray Stevens and Wilbur Snyder all wrestled their hearts out in front of the huge and appreciative mass of Spokane fans! Unfortunately for Stevens, Snyder and Johnson used an unsteady truce to render him ineffective and he winds up in a heap on the arena floor. Then things got REAL between Rocky and Wilbur! In a symphony of fast paced, well executed moves by both men....Rocky comes off the ropes with a FLYING BODY PRESS that enables him keep Snyder down just long enough for the 1,2,3....as the crowd roars its approval, both men shaking hands afterwards! Time: (17:20).

Here are your results from our recent SOLD-OUT show in Mankato!

DOG OF WAR, Sgt. Craig Pittman fought his way to a tough victory over Adrian Adonis. Pittman was tested early and often by Adonis who nearly got an early pinfall after executing a DDT, but PITTMAN managed to kick out just before the 3-count. Pittman roars back and eventually puts Adonis down with a CODE RED!
Time: (8:29)

The Crusher was impressive in his outing against Olympic strongman KEN PATERA! In a grueling and brutal tete e tete, "The Man Who Made Milwaukee Famous" was just too tough for Patera tonight in the Kato Ballroom! He shrugs off 2 pin attempts, and puts Patera to the canvas for the 1,2,3...with a series of CRUSHER BOLOS. Both men had 2 fatigue each. Time: (10:06).

In a hotly contested tag-team affair, Brad Armstrong and Scott Casey rally back to defeat the team of Al Perez and Buff Bagwell. Bagwell and Perez were not an easy win by any stretch of the imagination, and had Armstrong pinned, but Casey was able to make the save! After a back and forth struggle CASEY BULLDOGS Bagwell for the win, as Brad stops Al from making the pin save. Time: (11:33).

********INTERMISSION********

After the intermission, Manny Fernandez continued his winning ways, by beating the always tough, always ready DOUBLE A, Arn Anderson! It was a real brawling, bruising pier-sixer! Both men unloaded the heavy artillery on one another. Anderson even caught Fernandez with his SPINEBUSTER, but the Ragin' Bull kicks out of it....and after a barrage of offense, uses his FLYING BURRITO to pull out the victory! Time: (10:31).

Austin Idol dominated Pepper Gomez tonight in Mankato. Gomez was stunned early by Idol and wasn't able to recover. After a brief beatdown, Austin PILEDRIVES Pepper and makes the cover. Time: (7:00) (DUD).

**NO DISQUALIFICATION MAIN-EVENT**
It was an epic encounter between " The King of Men" (Blassie), and the leader of THE DOGS OF WAR (Slaughter). These two legends went nose to nose and toe to toe, in a ring WAR. It spilled out into the crowd on several occasions, and blood was shed in nearly every corner of the arena. Sgt. Slaughter and Freddie Blassie were both a bloody mess by match's end! Blassie puts Slaughter through a table, but THE SARGE refused to be pinned! He blasts Blassie with repeated chair-shots, before using his COBRA CLUTCH for the win! (Blassie 4 tokens, Slaughter 3). Time: (24:44).
