The fireworks went off early in Butte, Montana! Wednesday night Great North Wrestling lit the fuse with another explosive night of action inside the Butte Civic Center Arena!!!

Hercules Ayala gets the ball rolling as he defeats "Playboy" Buddy Rose! In a tumultuous back and forth confrontation, Herc is busted open (from a Rose chair shot no DQ) ! But after seeing RED he turns on the power! After giving Buddy a good throttling Ayala clamps on his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and Rose wilts in submission! Time: (10:26).

Korean assassin Kim Duk was unstoppable tonight inside the squared circle in Butte! But GNW newcomer Lonnie Mayne put up a pretty good fight in defeat. Mayne nearly pinned Duk early via a running powerslam, but Kim powered his way out at the 2-count! After a few sneaky throat thrusts (hidden from the ref of course), the tide turned in the big Korean's favor. After driving a battered Mayne nearly through the canvas, with a TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER, Duk earns the "W". Time: (6:26).

High Chief Peter Maivia pushes Nord the Barbarian to his physical limits in a real banger of a match! Each participant hammered and slammed the other almost in turn! Holds were applied, pain was dispensed, and the crowd was into it from bell to bell. Maivia (3 fatigue) used his diving headbutt to nearly concuss Nord, making him ditzy for a good portion of the match! The Barbarian after gathering his wits again, clubs Maivia with heavy forearms and stomps, along with some impactful power moves! Sensing Maivia's weakening condition, Nord (4 fatigue) clamps on his vise-like FULL NELSON and the High Chief was finished for the evening. Time: (18:39).

**********INTERMISSION**********

Red Bastien and his partner Billy Red Lyons witnessed first-hand the ferocity of Butch Miller and Luke Williams (aka) The Sheepherders! Lyons and Bastien had no answer for their off-kilter offensive savagery! They didn't just roll over either, and this match was a lesson in opposites. The Flying Redheads were precise and planning in their attack and defense, and The Sheepherders just did anything necessary to turn the momentum (legal or otherwise) in their direction! After isolating and punishing Bastien, Luke gets the pinfall on Red after a devastating
RUNNING KNEE SMASH double-team!
Time: (19:07).

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine used the addage "Waste not, want not" to its fullest potential in Butte tonight as he thumped Hacksaw Jim Duggan in singles action! After getting the quick advantage on Duggan, Valentine goes to town, in a storm of pain and violence ! Tough Guy Jim battles back and attempts an early FLYING SPEAR.....but misses and tumbles through the ropes crashing to the floor. Valentine quickly pounces on his opponent's miscue, and after beating Jim about on the outside, rolls him back into the ring. Once back inside Greg's FIGURE FOUR forced Duggan to begrudgingly submit! Time: (6:37).

The "GRAND FINALE" of the evening was a NO DQ match between Big John Studd and the debuting BIG VAN VADER! It was a pier-sixer of a contest....with nothing but a steady stream of POWER on full display! These two rocked one another with so much force the foundations of the Butte Civic Center literally shook! Slams echoed over the roaring crowd and blows could almost be felt by all in attendance! Of course with these two behemoths clobbering away at each other....their engines burned hot and fast! After an outside melee for the ages...that ends with Vader driving Studd backfirst into the steel ringpost, he tosses Big John back into the ring and finishes him with a VADER BOMB that breaks the ring!! Time: (8:57).

Here are your Great North Wrestling results from last night's event in Pocatello!!!

Another "mat monster" makes his presence known in GNW.......BATISTA! The big man easily handles Gentlemen Chris Adams tonight in Pocatello. Adams had a couple of good spots, before BATISTA decided playtime was over! He stuns Chris first coming off the ropes with a big boot , then used a bone-jarring TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER for the 1,2,3. Time: (5:01).

"Dirty" Dick Raines, who is as proud of his disqualifications as he is his victories.....celebrated another defeat tonight! Manny Fernandez bulled right through everything Raines could muster, and laid some heavy shots of his own! Raines has to resort to a low-blow to stem Fernandez's offensive tidal wave. Then Dick quickly gets the DQ when he refuses to release a blatant choke!
Time: (7:52).

With all the hype related to their impending arrival, THE DUDLEY BOYZ debut was a real downer for the fans! Obviously their opponents Brutus Beefcake/Al Perez weren't intimidated in the least. Brutus handled Bubba Ray masterfully power for power, while Perez wrestled circles around D-Von! Except for a brief rally by the Boyz, Al and Brutus looked nigh unstoppable! Brutus pins Bubba Ray after a precisely planted JUMPING HIGH KNEE! HOPEFULLY this unsuccessful debut preformance was due to "Jet Lag". Time: (13:07).

**********INTERMISSION**********

Buddy Fuller and Bobby Shane tangled in a whirlwind bruhaha, that was ignited by Shane who spat in Buddy's direction before the bell! Buddy went off like a bullet tearing off Shane's fancy ring attire, and laying in some heavy blows to boot! After the ref calls for the bell, things just kept rolling. Shane did manage to powder out, and gather himself putting together a decent string of offensive wrestling maneuvers. But soon Fuller was back in command of the match, working over Bobby's leg. Buddy makes Shane submit via his FULLER LEG LOCK! Time: (4:57).

***GNW WORLD TITLE SHOT***
Curt Hennig earns another title shot this time for World Championship gold, as he bested The Great Malenko tonight inside the Holt Arena! It was a true test for the cocky Hennig, and Malenko was riding a huge winning streak coming into this match. His power, overwhelmed Curt initially, but Hennig was eventually able to figure his opponent out, and effectively counter him. In a real physical back and forth mat classic, Hennig wins the day after executing a textbook HENNIG PLEX.
Time: (8:21).

**GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP**
JAKE ROBERTS is undefeated no longer here in Great North Wrestling! It took a champion to halt his meteoric rise, and that champion was GNW Inter-State Champion JIMMY SNUKA! Snuka was on fire making his first title defense a spectacular one, full of aerial maneuvers and action! Roberts tried twice to unleash his DDT, but Snuka deftly escaped both times! "The Snake" was full of devious tricks, and nearly got the pin on Snuka (with the aid of a handful of tights) but fortunately Jimmy was close to the ropes forcing the break. The momentum shift came when Snuka used a diving head butt off the apron spearing Roberts outside on the floor! Then Snuka uses a chair (no DQ) lambasting Jake, then tossing his carcas back into the ring. THE SUPERFLY LEAP was then launched as the crowd roared... the pin soon followed! YOUR WINNER AND STILL GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION JIMMY SNUKA!!!

Wednesday evening in Detroit was LIT! Here are the results from this epic card of Great North Wrestling action!!!

The "Beautiful" Beauregarde made his GNW debut tonight in Detroit! It unfortunately was not a victory as he loses by DISQUALIFICATION to Bob Armstrong. Beauregarde looked impressive, but wasn't able to pin or submit the tough Georgian! He resorted to using a FOREIGN OBJECT he had conveniently packed into his trunks, and was caught by the referee!
Time: (10:40).

The Lords (Blears/Hayes) confidently strode to the ring in Detroit, and left victorious over the team of Wilbur Snyder and Spike Huber. Blears and Hayes were tested by Wilbur and his young partner, in one heck of a back and forth struggle. Both teams tagged with precision and made good use of the double-team as well. Spike gets caught in a double-team, and is isolated from the veteran Snyder in the late stages of the contest. Eventually Huber is pinned by Blears after a series of dropkicks and a throat drop on the top-rope. Time: (27:22).

Native American star Billy Red Cloud, wins in his GNW debut impressively over Bad,Bad Leroy Brown! Red Cloud was taking a pretty good beating before roaring back with the aid of the cheering crowd. He rallies back and after an outside fracas where he evades a charging Brown, who careens into the ringpost! Rolling the big man under the ropes, Billy puts Leroy's shoulders to the mat for the win, with an awesome PILEDRIVER! Time: (8:04).

********INTERMISSION********
The long-awaited Great North Wrestling debut of DEMOLITION is over....and THE VACHONS gave them a very, very rude welcoming! Ax and Smash started off fast...and had the Mad Dog and Butcher scurrying for their lives early with their intensity and raw power! THE VACHONS however aren't your average run-of-the-mill competitors and soon both teams were wailing away at each other with ferocious fervor! Butcher and Mad Dog bashed and clawed, punched and stomped both DEMOLITION members for a good portion of this violent and memorable tag-team feature. After a bit of double-teaming Butcher gets the win after applying the HANGMAN on Smash, as Mad Dog keeps Ax from making the save!
Time: (7:35).

All hell broke loose in our next contest, as Bruiser Brody clashes with The One Man Gang! It was a fairly short, but brutal meeting between two legit tough guys! It was ugly and mean, a symphony of destruction in double time! They pummeled each other all over and outside the ring, and the referee had no choice but to DISQUALIFY both men after an outside melee, where they both were beating the snot out of each other with everything they could get their paws on! Time: (6:50).

***GNW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP***
Detroit welcomed their WORLD CHAMPION with loud chants and their vocal support tonight inside The Little Caesars Arena! Benton Harbor Michigan's BOBO BRAZIL successfully defends the strap (for the 6th time) by defeating Curt Hennig in front of the home crowd! Hennig came in prepared and focused and nearly takes the strap from Brazil, after a quick small-package, but Bobo powered out just in time. Curt then takes the low road, hoping it would lead him to a victory. After struggling a bit with the shortcuts used by the challenger, The Champ had, had enough! Big Bobo uses his strength advantage and tosses young Curt about in the ring. After a two and a half count following a powerslam, Brazil uses a falling COCO BUTT to get the 1,2,3! YOUR WINNER AND STILL GNW WORLD CHAMPION, BOBO BRAZIL!! Time: (12:45).

6,300 rabid fans gathered in LaCrosse for one helluva good time! Here are the results from GNW ON TOUR #259.........

Frenchy Martin attacks early but still loses to "THE HANDS OF STONE" Ron Garvin! Martin jumped the gun ambushing Garvin whilst he was removing his jacket....and it looked like Ron was gonna quickly take the loss. But after evading an elbow drop from Frenchy, Garvin pops up and goes to town! After getting some payback, Garvin unleashes his HANDS OF STONE and drops Frenchy like a bad habit, for the pin. Time: (4:45).

Mark Lewin and Ray Stevens definitely have issues with one another, and they were on full display to everyone inside The LaCrosse Center! A good old fashioned free-for-all with both men launching the heavy artillery! Of course Stevens' was laced with a bit of questionable tactics, but Lewin gave it right back to the Crippler. After a solid match, Lewin (who kicked out of a BOMBS AWAY), was able to apply his SLEEPER for the win!
Time: (6:36).

Harlem Heat w/Sister Sherri were the first Great North tag-team to experience The Mexi-Cali Connection....and they didn't like it one bit! The exciting combination of veteran Jose Lothario and his protégé Alberto Madril was just too caliente for Booker T and Stevie Ray tonight. The 2 used their speed and agility to keep the powerful HEAT at bay for most of the match. Young Madril did find himself in a bit of a pickle (via a strong double-teaming from Booker/Stevie) but he was able to make the hot tag! Lothario storms in and dispatches Stevie over the ropes to the floor next to Sister Sherri, then decks Booker T with his SUPER SOCK , and covers him for the 1,2,3!
Time: (8:09).

**********INTERMISSION**********

Leroy Brown seemed to have Ilio DiPaolo's number tonight as he was at his brutish best! His size and power advantage was evident immediately after the bell rings! He slammed and tossed the stubborn Italian all over the ring, and beat him unmercifully outside on the floor as well. It was sheer will and courage (along with his great conditioning) coupled with the energy of his fans that helped him come back in this rugged contest! A frustrated Brown goes on another offensive rampage, but charges the corner, as Ilio vacates it and hits headfirst in between the turnbuckles, directly smashing into the steel ringpost! As he staggered back, Ilio rolls him up quickly for the 3-count! Time: (10:15).

It was a very competitive and clean confrontation between two of GNW'S most popular stars, Rocky Johnson and Pedro Morales tonight in LaCrosse, Wisconsin! It was a wrestling feast for the eyes! Both men wrestled and counter-wrestled like a well oiled machine! The quickness and fluidity flowed, and the crowd was stunned! In the end it was Pedro seizing the victory. After working Rocky's lower back area, Morales uses a BOSTON CRAB for the submission win! Time: (9:43).

**GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT**
It was another slam-bang action packed
Inter-State title shot bruhaha in LaCrosse, as Black Mulligan collides head to head with The Grappler! The masked man didn't shy away from Mulligan one iota! He was confident and purposeful as he brutality tried to dissect the big Texan with a savage offensive attack! Mulligan was able to absorb the punishment, but it took a bit for him to recover. When he did, it was all over for The Grappler. After eating a steady diet of Blackjack fists, and a few kicks (some a tad too low, no DQ) it was Mulligan's BLACKJACK CLAW doing the honors, making the masked man go nighty-nite! Get ready Great North Wrestling Inter-State Champion Jimmy Snuka. ...cause Texas is a comin' fer YOU!! Time: (7:56).

It was excitement to the MAX in Maplewood!
Here are the results........

Baron Von Raschke was able to get back on the winning side of ledger, dominating Jerry Lynn in tonight's opening match. The big German took the initiative early, and never let up. Using his BRAIN CLAW, he quickly weakens Jerry, then drops an elbow on him for the 3-count. Time: (3:14) SQUASH.

Kevin Sullivan was able to defeat Bob Armstrong in another hotly contested battle. It was Armstrong pressing the action, UNTIL The Taskmaster throws out the rulebook (no surprise there) and puts the hurt on Bob. He had Bob on the Tree of Woe for a good while! Bob loses his cool, and goes rogue, getting DQ'ed for shoving the ref, and slamming Sullivan through the time-keeper's table!
Time: (5:57).

This was a really entertaining match , with "Playboy " Buddy Rose mixing it up with tough Guy and fan favorite HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN! Buddy used some very impressive wrestling moves, but failed to keep Jim's shoulders to the mat. So he tried to take the low road, and that was the spark Duggan needed! He kicked Buddy's tail inside and outside of the squared circle, eventually pinning "The Playboy" with an EPIC FLYING SPEAR! Time: (13:38).

**********INTERMISSION**********

After the break, the big guys take over the ring at the Aldrich Arena, starting with Mark Henry taking on Nord the Barbarian! In a match that quickly spiraled out of the referee's control! As Henry and Nord tumbled out the floor, over the top rope, the action never stopped! As the two men brawled outside, the frustrated official calls for the DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION! That didn't stop either man, as they battled through the crowd to the back! Time: (7:43).

Things didn't slow down one bit as Bruiser Brody hit the ring to face Samoa Joe! It was as physical and as violent as any match GNW has ever witnessed! It was a spectacle and the crowd was lit! Joe had Brody in the clutches of his REAR NAKED CHOKE, but had to release it when Brody buried a big finger directly into his right eye!!! They fought outside where Joe tossed Brody into the steel post not once but twice! A bloodied Bruiser, then lost his mind...and Samoa Joe was toast! A chair-shot (no DQ) and a big boot had Brody firmly in control...and he rolls Joe back into the confines of the squared circle! A couple of leg drops, and a JUMPING KNEE DROP for the second turnbuckle, and Brody secures the pinfall victory! Time: (10:09).

**GNW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP**
THE HEART-STOPPERS luckily escape Maplewood Minnesota with their TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP in tact! The Strays (Road Dogg/Redd Dogg) gave them a run for their money, looking very sharp against the champs Baker and Stasiak! Road Dogg took the fight to Stasiak, and nearly pins him with a flying forearm, but Baker makes the save! Stasiak and Baker then mount an offensive, delivering copius amounts of pain and suffering to Redd. Frustrated at not being able to pin Redd Dogg. ...Stasiak tosses him out to Baker on the floor! Ox delivers some heavy forearm blows and before Road Dogg can get there, OX gets DISQUALIFIED, for dropping Redd throat-first onto the guardrail! WINNERS BY DQ THE STRAYS (The Heart-Stoppers retain the belts).Time: (13:29).

It was a night of pro wrestling mayhem, on a hot and humid July evening in Duluth!!! Here's how it all went down inside a nearly full Amsoil Arena!!!!

Crippler Ray Stevens takes care of business in the opener, defeating "Moondog" Lonnie Mayne! Mayne proved difficult for Ray early on, but soon enough The Crippler strikes! After a big slam on the outside Ray quickly tosses a discombobulated Mayne back into the ring, then goes in for the kill. He pins Lonnie after a well executed Double Underhook SUPLEX. Time: (6:31).

Peter Maivia spurred on by the roaring masses in Duluth, gets the duke over The Grappler.The masked man tried everything in his arsenal, but the High Chief absorbed it all, even a suspected Grappler LOADED BOOT! Maivia storms his way back and puts The Grappler 's shoulders to the canvas for the 3-count with his SPINNING BACKBREAKER! Time: (5:41).

Mark Henry had heard all the rhetoric streaming from Batista's mouth, and decided NOT, to prattle in rebuttal, but use his massive strength to do the talking for him instead! The World's Strongest Man cleaved through THE BEAST, like a hot knife through butter! After taking a respectable amount of punishment from Batista.....Mark Henry explodes like a volcano, and pins his battered foe after a military press SLAM. Time: (7:55).

The RPMS (Mike Davis/Tommy Lane) remain undefeated in Great North tag-team competition with a somewhat disappointing disqualification victory tonight in Duluth, over Golden Boy Paul Christy and Nature Boy Roger Kirby! In what started out as an even back and forth struggle , it soon took an ugly turn, when Paul/Roger decided to use the under-handed approach, after failing to pin Lane twice. The match ends up in a free-for-all on the arena floor where Davis was removed from the equation (he ate the ringpost), Kirby and Christy were then DISQUALIFIED for an unrelenting beatdown of Lane outside the ring, ending with Tommy getting put through a table!

**GNW Inter-State Title Shot**
Pedro Morales had his first shot at Great North gold in Duluth. Unfortunately for him he was facing Roddy Piper! Piper and Morales began the festivities trading moves and holds, neither man gaining the upperhand on the other. Piper soon gets frustrated and decides he has "played nice" long enough. A thumb in the eye, a kick in the nether region, a stomp and a choke, soon got Roddy the results he was looking for. After kicking out of 2 pinning predicaments.....Pedro gets lambasted by Piper who reached into his trunks for a FOREIGN OBJECT (no DQ) and gets the 1,2,3.
Time: (9:46).

**NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH**
It was violence of the highest order in this knuckle-fest between The ONE MAN GANG and BRUISER BRODY! There were no fancy holds, or tricky strategies....just bone on bone, blow for blow violence from two human tornadoes repeatedly crashing into each other! Elbows, fists, kicks, even bites were exchanged inside and outside of the ring. Outside all the weaponry was used by both men! After nearly choking OMG out with a microphone cord, Brody heaves GANG back into the ring finishing him off with a flying clothesline!

***HANDICAP TAG-TEAM MAIN EVENT***
TONIGHT in Duluth ANDRE the GIANT was under siege and looked so very, very human! The biggest man in professional sports, was on his knees or on his back, and vulnerable. Dick Raines, Greg Valentine and Bad Bad Leroy Brown punished Andre like the wrestling world has never witnessed before. By the end of the night the GIANT was bleeding and battered (5 fatigue). The only mistake made by this villainous trio, was that they forgot that Andre had back-up tonight in DULUTH. Hacksaw Jim Duggan was amazing as he carried the load for his team tonight. Everytime he was tagged in, he was nearly flawless and the crowd was chanting his name LOUD and PROUD. He bashed Valentine in the back of the head thwarting one pin attempt on Andre, then wielded his 2x4 (avoiding disqualification) to disrupt an extended Andre beatdown by Brown/Raines. After Andre makes a desperation tag late in the match....Duggan storms the ring and cleans house!!! After tossing Raines, then Leroy out to the floor, Hacksaw plants VALENTINE into the mat with his FLYING SPEAR for the PIN! The Arena erupts!!!
Time: (19:52) (5-star match).

Brian Sager: THAT CONCLUDES TONIGHT'S card, and fans I can't even put to words what we just watched.....Hacksaw Jim Duggan you sir are tough as nails! The fans here in Duluth were ever so glad you were Andre's partner this evening! Next GNW heads to Sioux City Iowa's Tyson Events Center Arena for ON TOUR #262 7pm bell-time on July 21st!
