The hot July Sunday night in Sioux City, was only eclipsed by the scorching, white-hot action of Great North Wrestling!!!....here's the rundown of tonight's card.....

Young Jim Powers made his GNW debut tonight, and pulls out a bit of an upset, defeating "Playboy" Buddy Rose! Rose was way too overconfident and it costs him dearly tonight in Sioux City. Buddy pounded on Powers right from the opening bell, but his failure to put Jim away when he had the chance to, was his undoing. He pulls up a beaten Powers twice, before the ref can count to three. Powers then reverses an Irish-whip into the ropes, and catches Rose with a powerslam for the pin! Time: (5:51).

The Blue Meanie takes a cue from Jim Powers' previous performance, upsetting Gentleman Chris Adams in a scrapper! Adams was using his quickness advantage and it looked bad for BM early on. It took a low-blow (no DQ) to slow Adams down so Meanie could get his shots in....and did he ever. After beating Chris about the ring a bit it was a Blue Meanie neckbreaker that finally secured him the victory!
Time: (6:35).

The always crazy, but ever popular Bugsy McGraw was on fire tonight inside the Tyson Events Center Arena! He unleashed his zany style all over Brutus Beefcake! Bugsy's strength was just too much tonight. After Brutus put up a short offensive burst (McGraw ended it with his Curly Shuffle and big punch), Bugsy turned the tables for good. He puts Beefcake's shoulders to the mat after his JUMPIMG SPLASH finisher. Time: (5:29).

Billy and Bart Gunn, totally backed into the winner's circle tonight, thanks to THE BOYS! Paul Christy and Roger Kirby dominated this match, but for the second match in a row, pushed the official into giving them a DISQUALIFICATION loss! After Kirby tosses Billy out to the floor, Christy is disqualified for interference after he suplex's Billy through the time-keeper's table! Your WINNERS BY DQ THE
GUNNslingers! Time: (11:09).

**********INTERMISSION**********

It was a real slobber-knocker tonight as Dr. Death Steve Williams clashed with Big John Studd after the intermission! The heavy blows could be heard and felt throughout the packed arena! Both men showed their strengths and nearly pinning the other. Williams kicked out of a Studd chokeslam, and Big John shrugged off a Dr. Death running tackle! Things changed after a huge melee on the outside, where Williams drives Studd's back into the ring apron. Williams then goes on an in-ring rampage that finishes with him pinning John after A BACKDROP DRIVE! Time: (8:16).

**GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH**
Rocky Johnson gets another shot a GNW gold after defeating Jerry Lynn in a wrestling gem! Lynn gave Rocky all he could handle, the holds and moves were slick and clean! EACH offensive (by both competitors) was bigger and better than their last! Lynn's (3 fatigue) only mistake was a big one that costs him the match! Jerry telegraphs a back body drop, and Johnson (2 fatigue) rocks him with a jolting knee lift, followed by a FLYING CROSS BODY off the top turnbuckle for the 1,2,3!
Time: (10:36).

***GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP***
Jimmy Snuka's reign as Inter-State Champion will continue as he defeats Blackjack Mulligan tonight in Sioux City!! It was a grueling and physical match-up! Mulligan used his brute strength, while The Superfly used his amazing agility! It was back and forth from bell to bell. At one point Mulligan had Snuka in his BLACKJACK CLAW, but miraculously the champ was able to get to the ropes forcing the break. After a big rally that featured plenty of flying head-butts and dropkicks, Snuka finally wears big Mulligan down enough to use his SUPERFLY LEAP for the pin!

WEDNESDAY night in MINOT was off the HOOK! A capacity crowd witnessed a huge card of action!..........

Hercules Ayala got this night started, defeating The Blue Meanie. Herc was on his game and in control from start to finish, with the exception of couple brief Meanie offensive bursts. Ayala pins The Blue One , catching Meanie with a powerslam after whipping him into the ropes. Time: (6:48).

One Man Gang's slide into mediocrity here in Great North Wrestling continues, as tonight he falls to Lonnie Mayne in singles action! Gang looked primed for victory as he used his size to knock Mayne all about the squared circle! Mayne tried hard to quell the raging OMG, and had a bit of success following an out of the ring tete e tete. But soon the massive Gang was back in control.......UNTIL he missed badly on 747 SPLASH off the top turnbuckle! Mayne took advantage of that mistake, and pins OMG after a successful clothesline off the top rope!
Time: (5:04).

The Sheepherders and The RPMS clash in one dandy of a tag-team feature, in front of the SOLD-OUT crowd here in Minot! Both teams came into this one undefeated so far here in GNW! Davis and Lane used strategy and quick tags, while Sheepherders Butch and Luke used hard-boiled violence and questionable tactics! Both teams had spots of brilliance in a match that could have went either way at any given time. Tonight the dasterdly duo of Butch/Luke win out, when Luke pins Davis after a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER tag-team team finisher!
Time: (9:19).

In another competitive and entertaining match Jay Youngblood wins in his Great North return debut beating Bobby Shane! Shane gave the young native American star all he could handle, and then some nearly pinning him after a series of offensive moves that ended with a shoulder breaker! With the crowd securely in his corner, Youngblood roars back eventually pinning Bobby after his devastating TOP ROPE TOMAHAWK finisher! Time: (10:20).

**********INTERMISSION**********

It only got wilder after the break, when the card continued with a pier-sixer between Batista and Dr. Death Steve Williams! This match quickly turns into a symphony of raw determination and power! Williams nailed Batista with not one but 2 running tackles, but the Beast managed to kick out avoiding the loss. At one point, Batista powerbombs Williams and makes the cover, BUT Steve manages to get a leg on the ropes. Williams then rolls under the ropes to the outside hoping to get a breather. BUT NO....Batista follows him out. Williams and Batista waged war out on the arena floor! After tossing Batista into the ringpost, WILLIAMS grabs a chair, and shoves the referee to the floor getting DISQUALIFIED in the process. With nothing to lose , Steve bends the chair bashing Batista in the head until he's bleeding! Security comes to restore order!
Time: (6:44).

Pedro Morales was on fire tonight inside the jam-packed MSU DOME! He was masterful in his dominating preformance over Jake Roberts! Almost everything "The Snake" tried was countered or stopped by Pedro in fairly short order. Pedro looked to be nigh unstoppable, and his game plan for Jake seemed to be spot on! Jake refused to submit to Morales' Boston Crab, or be pinned by his flying forearm smash! Jake kept kicking out........and THEN Jake the Snake strikes! He pulls his lethal weapon of choice THE DDT out of thin air it seemed, and just like that this match was over!
Time: (7:51).

****MAIN EVENT 2 out of 3 FALLS****
It was VADER TIME......in Minot! But not before he and Samoa Joe nearly bring down the house, shaking The MSU Dome to its very foundation! Two big men, in a "Match of The Year" contender! Joe never backed down, and Vader never stopped coming forward as the crowd was up and out of their seats from bell to bell! The first fall goes to VADER at the 4:36 mark after a beatdown and a RELEASE POWERBOMB.
The game Soamoan wasn't through though! After weathering a bit of a rough patch, Joe pours on the offense and takes the second fall with his MUSCLE BUSTER at the 15:09 mark.
After the second fall both men were weary and worn, but they battled on! Joe and Vader had an epic clash out on the floor, both men nearly getting counted out! VADER busted Joe open tossing him into the steel ringpost, then rolls him back into the ring. Then after some slams, elbow drops and other punishing moves, VADER wins the 3rd and DECIDING fall pinning a nearly unconscious Samoa Joe after a front slam at the match ending time of (25:59)!

GREAT NORTH WRESTLING in SEATTLE on a Saturday night, there's nothing better!! And it was a night that didn't disappoint the 19,761 rabid fans in attendance...........

Jerry Lynn wows the crowd with a solid victory over Beauregarde! Beau tried to ambush Jerry at the opening bell, and it looked grim for Lynn! But Jerry was the better man tonight in Seattle. He ends his flamboyant opponent's night fairly early, surviving Beauregarde's sneak attack, then quickly pinning him after a CRADLE PILEDRIVER. Time: (3:10) (SQUASH)

OX BAKER was as mean and nasty as ever tonight, and unfortunately it was directed the Seattle fans and Al Perez! At first, Perez was effective keeping the big Ox at bay with his agility and speed. He nearly gets a pin after a flying head-scissors, but didn't secure Baker's leg, and the brute was able to kick out. After the successful kickout, it was all BAKER! Some hammering forearm blows, a bodyslam, and a well applied nerve hold, and Perez starts to weaken. Then comes a wicked shoulder breaker, and unmercifully Baker pulls his limp opponent off the canvas breaking the pin-count at 2 and a half! With the crowd booing hysterically Ox then drives his HEART PUNCH nearly clean through Al's chest for the 1,2,3!
Time: (6:47).

One of the biggest surprises here since the roster shuffle has been the preformance of the veteran Billy Red Cloud, who is undefeated since his arrival here in Great North Wrestling! Red Cloud clashed with Dick Raines tonight and earned another hard-fought victory to remain unbeaten! After absorbing a fair amount of punishment from RAINES, Billy ignites the crowd with his war dance, then his wrestling skills. AFTER a huge offensive rally Red Cloud pins Dirty Dick after a flying tomahawk chop off the ropes, followed up by a devastating PILEDRIVER! Time: (8:11).

Two exciting new tag-teams provided an excellent match tonight inside the Climate Pledge Arena! Wilbur Snyder and his partner eager but young, go-getter Spike Huber vs Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley! This was a match of finesse vs unbridled will! Wilbur and Huber worked well tagging in and out with precision. The Dudleys were tough and determined to win, and this made for a very competitive match-up! In the end after punishing Snyder, and keeping him from making the tag to his partner, D-Von uses his SAVING GRACE on Wilbur for the win. AFTERWARDS, D-Von calls for the tables, but an incensed HUBER was able to race in and save Snyder from the Dudleys evil plan!
Time: (11:04).

************INTERMISSION************

Jay Youngblood and Greg Valentine were next up, and it was AWESOME!!! The Hammer was chomping at the bit to get his hands on Jay, and Youngblood was every bit as eager to show the veteran he was a worthy adversary! As violent and brutish as Valentine was, Youngblood was just as agile and impactful in return. Back and forth this one goes until Greg mistakenly runs into an empty corner! Sensing the opportunity Jay attacks swiftly with dropkicks, chops and a running clothesline, that left The Hammer lying squarely in the center of the ring. Youngblood then delivers a FLYING TOMAHAWK off the top rope for the pin! Time: (11:49).

The Great Malenko secures his spot in the GNW top 10, turning back the challenge of The Raging Bull Manny Fernandez in a classic scrapper! The action was hot and heavy between these two well matched foes! Fernandez used his FLYING BURRITO on Malenko but the Great One was able to kick out and the battle kept going! In the end it was MALENKO'S finisher THE RUSSIAN SICKLE, that puts Manny's shoulders to the canvas for the 3-count. (Manny 2 fatigue, Malenko 1)
Time: (7:29).

****SPECIAL MAIN EVENT****
The One Man Gang put on the match of his life tonight when he faced ANDRE THE GIANT! He battled toe to toe with The Eight Wonder of the World, never backing down or showing any fear! At one point he had Andre lying prone in the ring after a volley of right hands and a resounding bodyslam and the crowd was stunned! OMG was confident as he climbed the corner preparing to unleash his 747 SPLASH! HE launches himself..........and Andre rolls out of the way! The Giant rises from the mat and proceeds to stomp a mudhole in the Gang! He pins OMG after a sit-down splash!

Here are the results for Tuesday's GNW ON TOUR from Minneapolis!!!! (sorry about being late).......

The Great Malenko defeated High-Flyer Eddie Guerrero in a fast paced opening match. These two stars went back and forth,showing off their offensive strengths to the appreciative crowd. Eddie was the aerial Assassin, while Malenko was the power monger. In the end after a very good match Malenko's power game wins the day as he pins Eddie after a RUSSIAN SICKLE!
Time: (11:26).

In an entertaining marathon of a tag-team match Wilbur Snyder and Spike Huber down The Strays, Road Dogg and Redd Dogg! The STRAYS didn't go down without a fight, this was an action-packed affair. Road Dogg nearly pinned Huber after a top-rope clothesline, but Snyder made the save. Tag outs, and double-teaming galore in this one! In the end Snyder pins Road Dogg after a flurry of forearm blows, toppped off with a DOUBLE DROPKICK tag finisher. Time: (17:59). 5-star match!

Italian standout Ilio DiPaolo pulls out a "Perfect" victory over Curt Hennig tonight in the Armory! DiPaolo was relentless in his offensive attack, and his defense was impressive as well. Hennig looked frustrated for all but one segment of the match where he had control. DiPaolo scoops Curt up and delivers his AIRPLANE SPIN for the 1,2,3. Time: (9:10).

**********INTERMISSION**********
Our next match was a powder-keg waiting to explode......AND EXPLODE IT DID! The Dudley Boyz mixed it up with former (2-time) GNW Tag-Team Champions HARLEM HEAT, with Sister Sherri in tow! These two teams dispensed with the introductions and the bell, this WAR was on! Both teams fought with unhinged fury, and brutality. ....OF COURSE it spills outside the confines of the ring! There with both teams wailing away at one another, the referee calls for the DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION, as Stevie is piledriving D-Von one the arena floor, and Bubba Ray introduces Booker T to the guardrail with a gut drop! Time: (6:44).

Ronnie Garvin was crisp, and in command tonight in Minneapolis! He was tested though by the always ready Buddy Fuller. This match was professional and polished, the best of both competitors was on display. Chain wrestling, agility, speed and power, this match had it all. After escaping 2 consecutive Fuller pin-fall attempts (suplex,small package), RON uncorks his HANDS OF STONE for the win!

***NON-TITLE TAG-TEAM MAIN EVENT***
With the tag-team scene ratcheting up, The current GNW Champions, Ox Baker and Stan Stasiak, THE HEART-STOPPERS might be feeling the pressure. For the second time in a row they get disqualified, last time it was a Title match against The Strays. Tonight it was NON-TITLE loss to the red hot Mexi-Cali Connection of Alberto Madril and veteran Jose Lothario! Lothario and Madril tagged quick and struck offensively even quicker, avoiding the brute strength advantage of Ox and Stasiak. Stasiak during a flurry by Madril powders outside (Heart-Stopper side), and the impulsive
Albert gives chase........THERE with him blasting away at Stan......OX jumps down and GETS DISQUALIFIED, after spinning Madril around and burying his HEART PUNCH squarely in Al's sternum. Stasiak and Baker continue to stomp on Madril until an incensed Lothario arrives to his partner's aid wielding a steel Chair! Time (12:26).
