The action was churning in "America's Dairyland" Friday night, when GNW returned to The OSHKOSH ARENA!!!!

Korean martial arts expert, Kim Duk was brilliant as he notched a quick pinfall victory in the opening match vs Jim Powers. Powers, known as a bit of a slow starter, never got it going tonight in Oshkosh. Duk's kicks, chops, and nerve holds set Powers up perfectly for a TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER finisher from the big Korean. Time: (2:55) SQUASH.

The Crippler was in control of his match, as Ray Stevens defeats Mark Lewin in a DONNYBROOK! Both men threw everything they had at one another, in a very watchable contest. Lewin had Ray nearly submitted, using a bearhug and his SLEEPER HOLD. But the crafty Crippler was able to somehow escape his predicament and fight his way back. After nearly getting DISQUALIFIED (for choking Lewin out), Ray uses his BOMBS AWAY to put Mark to the canvas for good!
Time: (8:35).

Our tag-team feature was a doozy as THE LORDS squared off against THE GUNNslingers! Hayes and Blears used every trick in the book, but Billy and Bart Gunn turned them away at every turn! Quick tags and high impact offense, were the Gunn's bread and butter tonight! After receiving copius amounts of punishment, Blears was able to tag Hayes, but he didn't fare any better! BILLY and BART used their signature SIDEWINDER tag-team finisher to put Hayes away in this epic confrontation.
Time: (19:11).

********** INTERMISSION **********

Hacksaw Jim Duggan's entrance made the arena explode, but that didn't faze his opponent NORD THE BARBARIAN! Nord came locked and loaded, ready to brawl with big Jim! Fists were traded, kicks were exchanged as these two lit up OSHKOSH! In and out the action spilled and the crowd screamed for more! After a huge powerslam NORD clamped on his vise-like FULL NELSON for a surprising submission win! Time: (6:52).

Bruiser Brody kept the excitement rolling as he steams past Baron Von Raschke! Brody was as unpredictable as ever, and the big German was back-peddling from the opening bell. A brief offensive barrage from Raschke only left the Bruiser infuriated and crazed! He blasts his opponent with a couple of stiff right hands, then a piledriver, finally going to his JUMPING KNEE DROP for the 1,2,3! Time: (7:07).

*****GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP*****
JIMMY SNUKA is proving to be quite the INTER-STATE Champion. Tonight he was sorely tested by Rowdy Roddy Piper, but still retains his title! This was a back and forth mat-classic (as you'd expect from these two) from start to finish with more twists and turns than a roller coaster! The frenzied crowd roared as these two waged war! Piper had Jimmy in the clutches of his SLEEPER, but releases it when Snuka drives him back-first into the turnbuckle! Snuka then battered Piper with HEADBUTTS until his head was a mass of flowing crimson! After a running clothesline, Snuka would use a backbreaker to secure the pinfall victory! YOUR WINNER AND STILL GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION. ....JIMMY SUPERFLY SNUKA!!

The sights and sounds of good old family fun, was the perfect backdrop for an amazing evening of professional wrestling ,and Great North Wrestling was just the ticket!!!

Big John Studd made quite the impression tonight in Fairmont, as he crushes Chief Billy Red Cloud. Red Cloud fought valiantly, but his weight (120+ lbs) disadvantage and Studd's power was just too much for him to overcome this evening. After securing control of his opponent for the final time, John easily pins him after a vicious spine-crunching BACKBREAKER. Time: (5:50).

Mark Lewin's star shines brightly in Fairmont tonight, as he earns a hard-fought victory over "Playboy" Buddy Rose. It was a back and forth struggle that captivated the huge crowd in attendance! Rose nearly got a pin early (with the aid of a handful of tights), But Lewin powered out before the ref could count to 3! Then Lewin (2 fatigue) roars back and after some stinging over-hand chops, pins a stunned Rose (2 tokens) with a scoop press slam! Time: (6:35).

Brutus Beefcake battled toe to toe with THE BEAST, known as Batista. It was an uphill battle for the cocky and overconfident Beefcake, and sadly a climb he just couldn't make. Batista cranks up offense just enough, and quickly dismantled Brutus methodically and with malice! In the end he nearly puts Beefcake through the mat with his BATISTA BOMB!
Time: (6:27).

The upset of the night, came in our tag-team feature, where THE MOONDOGS defeated DEMOLITION! The DOGS (Spot and Rex), decided to concentrate on SMASH, and kept him from tagging Ax in the final and critical stages of this violent and memorable clash! After clubbing Ax with THE BONE (no dq)...sending him off the apron to the floor, it left a battered Smash alone in the ring at the mercy of THE MOONDOGS! Rex pins Smash after a MOONDOG DROP double-team finisher!
Time: (8:44).

**********INTERMISSION**********

It was another mat classic after the intermission as fan favorite big Blackjack Mulligan squared off against the vile Jake "The Snake" Roberts! This one was as wild as advertised, and the dislike between these two cleaved the humid summer air. Fists were traded, short-cuts were taken (by both competitors) and the outcome was completely unknown to the screaming Fairmont crowd, who just wanted to see a good old slobber-knocker! Their prayers were answered as these two men battled back and forth. Roberts DDT'd Mulligan outside on the ground, then rolled him back into the ring, to finish the job! But a bloody Mulligan had other ideas! After a Roberts running clothesline that failed to drop the big cowboy.....MULLIGAN delivers some heavy shots, then squeezes "The Snake" into unconsciousness with his BLACKJACK CLAW! Time: (12:09).

***GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP***
Jimmy Snuka has become quite the INTER-STATE Champion, and he shows no sign of giving up the title any time soon! Tonight in a masterful wrestling match, he defeats Rocky Johnson for his 6th straight successful title defense! Johnson of course, was a game competitor, and he used every tool in his toolbox, to try and wrest the belt from The Superfly! But Snuka's grit and determination was unparalleled tonight in Fairmont! He weathered every Johnson offensive , and returned it back in spades! After delivering a bone-jarring piledriver, SNUKA took to the sky, and gets the pin after a SUPERFLY LEAP! Time: (11:57).

**HANDICAP TAG-TEAM MAIN EVENT**
In our MAIN EVENT, Andre the Giant and newly crowned GNW FRONTIER CHAMPION, Bugsy McGraw ran roughshod over 3 of the nastiest men in the sport, Baron Von Raschke, Dirty Dick Raines and Nord the Barbarian! Big ANDRE was impressive as he manhandled all three of these brutes! But BUGSY was very effective as well, and his "Crazy Meter" was pegged from start to finish! The crowd erupted as he blasted Nord with a Curly Shuffle and big punch, that sent the Barbarian flying out of the ring! Then Raines runs into the ring, and BUGSY gives him the same! Then after a jumping powerslam, McGraw uses a JUMPING KNEE DROP launched from the top turnbuckle (assisted by Andre) to pin a flattened Raines!
Time: (13:02).

Mean Gene: All I can say is wow! This has been quite the evening, kudos to The Martin County Fair for inviting us back! Hopefully we will be back next year as well. Here are Thursday night's results from Calgary!

Frenchy Martin won by disqualification, over Jay Youngblood. Martin's continual bending of the rules irritated Jay so much HE gets disqualified for excessive brawling on the floor!
Time: (9:29).

Samoa Joe destroyed Kevin Sullivan in short order, forcing Sullivan to submit via STF!
Time: (4:29) SQUASH.

The Vachons were victorious over The RPMS tonight in the Saddledome! In a back and forth match, with lots of twists and turns, Mad Dog pins Lane after a four-man in ring fracas with a PILEDRIVER! Time: (10:35).

***********INTERMISSION***********

In a real pier-six slugfest, High Chief Peter Maivia defeated The Grappler! Maivia even survives the masked man's LOADED BOOT! Maivia fought his way back, and pins The Grappler following a series of chops and a flying head butt! Time: (10:02).

The Crippler was on his game, as he put away a very competitive Buddy Fuller in front of the rowdy Calgary crowd! After a very clean start by both men, Stevens started taking liberties with the rulebook and turned this match into an ugly affair. After wearing Fuller down, he gets the 1,2,3 with his BOMBS AWAY finisher!
Time: (12:21).

****NO DISQUALIFICATION MAIN EVENT*****
Last time these two teams clashed it ended in an unsatisfying DOUBLE DQ, both teams slugging away at the other outside of the ring, on the arena floor! TONIGHT there would be a winner, either HARLEM HEAT or THE DUDLEY'S!! It was a raucous, rock'em sock'em bruhaha of the first order! Booker T and Stevie Ray were strong early on and nearly pinned Bubba Ray after an early HARLEM HANGOVER, but D-Von was able to make the save! The Dudleys double-team was very effective, as they pummeled Stevie Ray for a good while during the middle stages of the match. These teams brawled on the floor, in the ring....and even in the stands!! In the end the night belonged to Bubba Ray and D-Von as they pin Booker T after a 3-D!!! (HARLEM HEAT 3 fatigue, DUDLEYS 4.) Time: (27:44)

GNW ran wild in Winnipeg Monday night, when GNW ON TOUR invaded the Canada Life Centre!!!!

Pedro Morales was victorious in the opener against the devious and crafty Beauregarde! Beau tried wrestling, then brawling and then a little asphyxiation (courtesy of the tag rope), but the Puerto Rican superstar overcame it all! In a back and forth struggle, Pedro finally submits Beauregarde with a prolonged BOSTON CRAB! Time: (10:13).

In another knock out, drag out thriller, Dirty Dick Raines downs the always tough Georgian Bob Armstrong! Armstrong was nearly successful using his usually reliable GEORGIA JAWJACKER, but Raines was just able to kick out at two and a half! Dirty Dick was just that and soon he was choking, biting and stomping Bob into the mat! After his brutal assault, Raines applies his BACKBREAKER, and ends Armstrong's evening. Time: (9:51).

Mark Henry is no longer undefeated here in Great North Wrestling, but it was by his own doing, not his opponent's NORD THE BARBARIAN! Mark was a house on fire right from the bell, tossing big Nord hither and fro like a rag-doll! Nord fought back only to be quashed again, and again. But try as he may Henry just couldn't keep the Barbarian's shoulders to the canvas, or make him cry uncle! The battle spills out to the arena floor where a frustrated "World's Strongest Man" is DISQUALIFIED by the referee for putting Nord through the time-keeper's table!
Time: (6:27).

DEMOLITION lived up to its name tonight as Ax and Smash annihilated The team of Lothario/Madril aka The Mexi-Cali Connection! After being totally embarrassed last time out in an egregious loss to The Moondogs, DEMOLITION erased all that with a dominant performance tonight in front of the screaming Winnipeg fans! Power was the name of the game, and they wielded theirs flawlessly! After a late match desperation tag by Lothario, Madril came rushing in and got cremated! After a huge DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE Smash pins Alberto for the 1,2,3! Time: (7:10).

**********INTERMISSION**********

BRUISER Brody wins his 5th straight since joining the ranks of Great North Wrestling, with another awesome outing, this time Big John Studd was the recipient of Brody's wrath. Studd as always made quite an accounting of himself, before falling to The Bruiser! The blows were heavy and plentiful in this brawling extravaganza! Brody finally puts Studd down after a clothesline/JUMPING KNEE DROP combo! Time: (9:43).

**GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH**
Recently crowned GNW FRONTIER CHAMPION, Bugsy McGraw hasn't even defended it and may be giving it up for INTER-STATE gold! He defeated Curt Hennig tonight in a battle of top-ranking competitors, earning him a shot at the current GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION Jimmy Snuka in the process! Bugsy was confident and in control of his craziness (for the most part), and kept Hennig at bay for the bulk of this match! After catching Curt off the ropes, Bugsy planted him with a resounding powerslam, then uses his go to finisher JUMPING SPLASH, for the coup de gras!
Time: (7:51).

**GNW WORLD TITLE SHOT MATCH**
The Great Malenko clawed his way into tonight's title shot, amassing an impressive win-loss record thus far in 2024! He came in uber confident, and maybe just a tad bit overconfident, as he loses to Dr. Death Steve Williams tonight in the loud and rowdy Canada Life Centre. It was a great match filled with all the action any fan could handle. Williams escapes not one but 2 Malenko RUSSIAN SICKLES, on his way to victory! After being the first to his feet (after a noggin knocker puts both men down) Steve uses a few solid rights, and a BACKDROP DRIVE for the 3-count and the title shot win! Time: (12:17).

GNW and the awesome Green Bay fans nearly blew the roof off the Resch Center, Wednesday night! Here's how it all went down.......

"The Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez gored his way through The Blue Meanie in the packed and very loud Resch Center!! Meanie was never really in this one as Fernandez was too dominant! Manny wins by COUNT-OUT after delivering his FLYING BURRITO to BM outside off the apron during an out of the ring fracas!
Time: (4:33).

In a bit of a plot twist (at least for them), THE SHEEPHERDERS get a DQ win! Golden Boy Paul Christy and his partner Nature Boy Roger Kirby, after taking a huge amount of damage from Luke/Butch, (mostly by illegal means), turn the tables and returned the favor! A fed up Christy refuses to leave the ring after interfering, breaking up a SHEEPHERDER beatdown on Kirby, and the referee has no choice but to disqualify him! Time: (7:54).

One Man Gang and the beast known as Batista, rocked the pillars of "The Resch", in an epic contest! Back and forth this one goes as each big man took their best shots the other! Tonight the momentum swung in favor of OMG as he capitalizes on a Batista miscue, he charges into an empty corner, that nearly knocks him out cold! After that, it still took a powerslam and a 747 SPLASH for the Gang to get the 1,2,3! Time: (8:09).

**********INTERMISSION**********

Greg Valentine in preparation for his I.S. title shot against current champion Jimmy Snuka (at DOG DAYS OF SUMMER '24), wins a hard fought victory over crowd favorite Rocky Johnson tonight in Green Bay! It wasn't easy for "The Hammer" but in the end he manages to nail down the win! After wearing Rocky down with plenty of VALENTINE chops, and a clothesline, Greg (2 tokens) finishes off Johnson (3 fatigue) pinning him after a backbreaker. Time: (13:20).

**GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP**
Newly crowned GNW FRONTIER Champion Bugsy McGraw, came back down to Earth, a bit tonight as he lost his bid to move up to INTER-STATE gold! I.S. champion Jimmy Snuka held onto his title with an impressive victory over Bugsy!
