That's how a #1 seed should get it done. Magnum TA in the next bout. Brisco certainly did look impressive to kick things off.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, sings Cruefan68 Nothing better than the Legends Tournament and I loved the recap of the history of the tournament. Cool to see Jack Brisco advance. I'm going with Magnum T.A. in the next match. LOL I always enjoy looking back over the previous years results before starting to roll out the current tournament. Lots of history.

Bob Roop (32) v. Magnum T.A. (33)
Morgan Dollar calls for the bell and Roop assumes control with a straight right hand. A series of suplexes are mixed with a reverse hammerlock. Roop hooks the leg for one (R10/P2). Allen goes for a breather but Roop is out after him. Roop grabs a chair but Allen grabs a camera from around the neck of Dr. Mike Lano and smashes Roop with the weapon. The action goes back to into the ring and the blood flows down the face of Roop as he struggles to get free of an abdominal stretch. Roop makes the ropes (R7/P4). Allen has control with a backdrop and jabs. Dropkicks down Roop for a one count (R10/P5). An atomic drop sends Roop to the mat again. Allen mounts the bucklesโฆ Roop slams him to the mat. Roop with a SHOULDER BREAKER but Allen kicks out of the cover (R9/P5). Allen is tossed to the floor. Roop catches his breath. Back in, Allen is crushed with another SHOULDER BREAKER. 1, 2, kick out (R7/P6). Gut wrench backbreaker. Allen rolls to the floor and crawls back into the ring. Roop sends his opponent back to the floor. Roop comes out after Allen and gives him a spinning neckbreaker on the floor. Allen beats the ten count (R11/P5). Bad shape. Gut wrench backbreaker is followed by a spinning neckbreaker. Allen rolls under the ropes but Roop is out after him. Exchange blows on the floor. Roop takes it back to the ring and lands a guillotine leg drop. An elbow drop misses and Allen connects with a running forearm. The crowd is frantic. Roop is rebounded into a perfect dropkick from Allen. Allen executes an atomic drop but his backdrop is countered with a body slam. Roop slows it down and takes the action to the mat gaining the upper hand. A high hip lock takeover is countered and Allen connects with a running forearm. 1, 2, 3 (R2/P6). [snake eyes!] Roop cannot believe it, Allen moves on.
Next upโฆ Frank Gotch (17) v. Del Wilkes (48)

Very exciting back and forth in that last match... The next one should be relatively straight forward... Who's better than Gotch?
