Magnum T.A. vs. Bob Roop and Frank Gotch vs. The Patriot were both incredible bouts. I had picked Magnum to move on but The Patriot beating Gotch was a shocker. Gotch is out next year as well which is a bummer. Two tough guys comin in the next bout but I'm going with Ed "Strangler" Lewis and his Strangler's Headlock to advance.

Thanks for the feedback my friend. I have to agree that the first round action has been very competitive out of gate this year. The differential in the card mechanics gets tighter with each set that is released.

Quite a upset win for the Patriot. You never know what the dice have in store. Mad Dog Vachon always had a very competitive Card for sure. So he will be my pick for the next match

“Strangler” Ed Lewis (16) v. Mad Dog Vachon (49)
Dick Woehrle calls for the bell and we are underway. Vachon brawls. Lewis is taken aback. Whip to the corner . . . Lewis connects with a clothesline. STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Vachon escapes (R11/P3) but Lewis goes back to the hold again forcing Vachon to the ropes (R7/P4). Lewis applies his finisher a third time and Vachon again reaches the ropes (R8/P5) but Lewis stays on him with another STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Vachon barely makes the ropes to stay alive (R7/P6) and Lewis connects with a running lariat. Lewis works the upper body and then catches Vachon with a back elbow. A neck yoke does more damage to Vachon as does a double wristlock. Vachon whipped into the ropes . . . clothesline countered with a clothesline! Both men go down. Lewis is up first . . . Scorpion Death Lock. Vachon taps (R4/P7).
Vachon gets outclassed and Lewis moves on. Up next . . . Lou Thesz (9) v. Austin Idol (56)

Gotta go with Lou Thesz in the next bout. Thanks for pick. I have to think that Thesz will get all the votes. Tough draw for Austin Idol after only being in the Filsinger Games World for only a few weeks.

Mad Dog got tamed. Impressive win.
As you said, rough draw for Austin Idol first time out. Thesz all the way.
