You forgot a video... Listening to the lyrics it actually does fit with Vanity and Sweet Thing. Great episode as always. Love reading these scans of old newsletters and "Emperor Norton" (Mark T), your drawing at 13 were leagues better than mine now! |

Listening now and strolling down memory lane. I'd forgotten those cool Boyce drawings. AS far as mine, keep in mind folks, when I drew those things I was just 13 years old. Also, about that Brute drawing: I needed to credit "after Todd McFarlane" on that Brute drawing because it was inspired by a McFarlane Hulk cover. It was a great idea, sure. Just not entirely mine! EDIT: As I continue to listen, about that comic book we WANTED to do: Did we mention we were like 13 and 15-16 respectively at the time? Well I don't think we realized what it took to make an entire comic happen. I drew a few pages.....then it was like "hey, summer is over and school is coming and there's no way this is happening for either of us". So we had to awkwardly backtrack out of that. A real adult professional named Ed Davis DID do that COTG comic a decade later. So go find a copy of that if you can. Because it's a real rarity. I have the Ed Davis COTG comic! 😀 |

Hey...you guys are good!!!  Really enjoyed the listen fellas, and am sure sad that I wasn't able to make it. Pariah, appreciate your concerns my friend, we are fine, and back with power (and we're lucky, as there are still folks without power...was a doozy of a snow storm!). I'll be itching to record next week, with a weather report that will knock Grant's socks off! |

Love reliving my childhood! Great discussion of the newsletters- especially enjoyed hearing about the arena names, all of which mentioned I still use today. If Ashby got a once a month contract, I'm sure my agent is sitting on a twice a month offer...

Great episode! I always love these Club Galactica ones. I keep waiting for my name to show up as one of the new members, but I might have slacked and not joined until 1990 or 1991.

Even though I don't play CotG, always enjoy hearing the Club Galactica Reports. Can certainly identify with all of the youthful nerdiness. During my Algebra Class, I was either doing Strat-O stats or creating my next campaign for D&D.
