Question on the art... When in his carrier did he wear those tropical print tights (which I love)? Most of the color shots I've seen of DLJ, he was in basic black or blue trunks. Early/Mid 70s. |

I don't know the exact time period but he definitely wore them. I'd guess it was late in his career. He had a few odd prints that seemed a bit out of character to me but I guess if a powerhouse giant wants to wear Hawaiian print trunks, who's going to argue? I do thoroughly enjoy his matches when I have watched them and he had an awesome finisher for the time period. Here's a video with him in these trunks: I freaking love this art though. Feels so right for him. Captures his likeness really well and makes him look like a giant but also a little bit regal or something. Fitting for the way that Japan treated their wrestlers from this era. Really well done, Werner! On a somewhat side note, I wonder if we might ever see his father in the game someday. |

Great art, nice pick for update. So this set Golden Age? The theme seems to be "Guys we want to release in color". Perfect theme as far as I’m concerned. |
