*An ad airs announcing a WWF TV special called Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on February 26th and will emanate from the Nassau Coliseum in New York, New York.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Final Round Match
(6) The Islanders W/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan def. (5) The Rockers when Haku pinned Shawn Michaels after a thrust kick.
*Before the match, Haku attacked Michaels on the outside, but Shawn caught him charging and hit a power slam through the announce table.
*Shawn had 3 tokens, Marty had 6, Haku had 2, & Tama had 3. The Islanders previously won the match by DQ for Shawn entering illegally, but since titles can’t be won by DQ, WWF President Teddy Long restarted the match under No DQ rules.

*A highlight video is shown of how each tag team got to the WWF Tag Team Championship tournament finals.

WWF Women’s Championship - “Elite 8” Elimination Match
Davina Rose VS. The Fabulous Moolah VS. Molly Holly VS. Rockin’ Robin VS. “Sensational” Sherri Martel VS. Susan Green VS. Tina Moretti VS. Trish Stratus
*Order of elimination: 1) Rockin’ Robin (3 tokens) by Trish Stratus via Stratusfaction. 2) Tina Moretti was disqualified for hitting Stratus with a steel chair. 3) Susan Green via Davina Rose’s Rose Plant. 4)The Fabulous Moolah was disqualified for using a cable wire on Martel. 5) Davina Rose by Molly Holly via a countered sunset flip. 6) Sherri Martel by Molly Holly after the Molly-Go-Round. 7) Trish Stratus after Molly Holly countered a flying body press into a pin. Winner: Molly Holly
*Rose had 2 tokens, Moolah had 1, Holly had 1, Robin had 3, Martel had 2, Green had 1, & Stratus had 3. After the match, Stratus & Holly shook hands and hugged.


*In the Royal Rumble drawing room, the last three men, Brutus Beefcake, Koko B. Ware & Tito Santana, draw their numbers. The camera then pans over to the WWF Championship belt setting on a stand nearby.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Semi-Final Round Match
(6) The Islanders W/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan def. (7) Power & Glory W/ “The Doctor of Style” Slick when Tama pinned Hercules after the Islander Splash.
*Haku had 2 tokens, Tama had 3, Hercules had 3 and Paul Roma 7.

*In the Royal Rumble drawing room, Kerry Von Erich enters and draws his number. Von Erich leaves the room very happily, and is confronted by Ted Dibiase and his bodyguard, Virgil. Dibiase says he can tell by the look on Von Erich’s face that he drew a high number. Dibiase tells Von Erich he will give him a pile of cash, and he won’t have to do anything stupid or humiliating for it, but he will have to trade him numbers. Von Erich says that would be the stupidest thing he could ever do and walks away, leaving Dibiase upset.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Semi-Final Round Match
(5) The Rockers won over (1) The New Age Outlaws by DQ when “The Road Dogg” Jesse James slammed Shawn Michaels on the announce table.
*”Badass” Billy Gunn had 2 tokens, Michaels had 3, & Marty Jannetty had 6. The Outlaws appeared to have the match one earlier after a James Gang Ambush, but referee Joey Marella was knocked out.

*In the Royal Rumble drawing room, Bret Hart draws his number. Hart shakes his head at his number, as Roddy Piper enters. The two shake hands and hug. Piper tells Hart that he has nothing but love for him, but out there… Bret interrupts the pause by saying that Piper doesn’t need to say it, and that they both will do what they have to out there. Piper says, “you damn betcha,” and then draws his number.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Quarterfinal Round Match
(6) The Islanders W/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan def. (3) The Quebecers W/ “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart when Haku pinned Carl Pierre Oullette after he ran headfirst into the turnbuckle.
*Carl, who busted wide open from his own manager’s megaphone, had 8 tokens, Haku had 1, and Tama had 2. Another solid match. Dick Woehrle was the referee.

*In the Royal Rumble drawing room, The Ultimate Warrior rushes in, draws his number, throws his number, and pounds his chest before leaving.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Quarterfinal Round Match
(7) Power & Glory W/ “The Doctor of Style” Slick def. (2) The British Bulldogs W/ Captain Lou Albano when Paul Roma surprised Davey Boy Smith with a cross body block.
*Smith had 1 token, The Dynamite Kid ha

*In the other locker room, as his fellow Diamond Mine members watch closely, DDP is approached by Hillbilly Jim, who shakes DDP’s hand and says may the best man win.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Quarterfinal Round Match
(5) The Rockers def. (4) The Powers of Pain W/ Mr. Fuji when Marty Jannetty pinned The Warlord after the Rockerplex.
*The Barbarian had 2 tokens, Warlord had 4, Janetty had 5 and Shawn Michaels had 1. Great match. Joey Marella was the referee.

*In the locker room, Sgt. Slaughter & General Adnan are trying to sell the story to Don Muraco, Mr. Perfect, Ted Dibiase, Greg Valentine, Kurt Angle, Val Venis, Randy Savage and their various seconds that there is an invader in their mix, referring to Diamond Dallas Page, and no matter what happens, he can’t leave the arena with the WWF Championship. Rather all of them were buying into it is hard to say.

WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament - Quarterfinal Round Match
The New Age Outlaws won over the (4) The Killer Bees by DQ when Jim Brunzell smashed “The Road Dogg” Jesse James’ head onto the announce table.
*B. Brian Blair had 3 tokens. The Killer Bees were selling the effects of the attack on them by The Powers of Pain. James Beard was the referee.


*The show opens with a video package of all the Royal Rumble participants being named as their picture appears on screen.

Midgets Match
Sky Low Low won over Little Beaver by count-out after a body slam on the concrete.
*Beaver had 2 tokens, while Low Low had 1.


*In a backstage area, Teddy Long and Morgan Dollar stand next to the Royal Rumble number drawing drum. Hulk Hogan, accompanied by Miss Elizabeth, enters, shakes Long’s hand, and draws his number. After Hogan checks his number, he goes to leave, but bumps into Andre The Giant, accompanied by Bobby Heenan and Steve Regal. As the two engage in a staredown, Long warns them that if there is any physical contact, they will both be out of the Rumble. Hogan tells Andre that he’ll see him in the Rumble, Heenan says Andre will be looking forward to it.

*In the parking lot, a pink Cadillac pumps up, and out hops The Diamond Mine, who head into the arena.

“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan W/ Miss Elizabeth def. WWF Tag Team Champion Haku W/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan with the Leg Drop.
*Haku and Hogan both had 1 token. Haku almost stole the match after blasting Hogan with a roll of quarters.

*In the backstage area, Val Venis tells Tito Santana that he should give him his wife’s number so she can be satisfied for once. Santana says his wife prefers men who can last at least 2 minutes, referring to Venis’ quick Rumble elimination. An angry Venis cheap shots Santana, who responds by tackling Venis onto a table nearby. Officials and security intervene.

6 Man Tag Team Match
The Rockers & WWF Champion The Ultimate Warrior def. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & The Quebecers W/ “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart when Marty Jannetty pinned Pierre Carl Oullett after a turnbuckle whip/clothesline.
*Valentine had 3 tokes, Jacques Rougeau had 1, Oullet had 3, Warrior had 3, Jannetty had 1, and Michaels had 3.

*In a backstage promo, Jimmy Hart, flanked by both The Quebecers & Greg Valentine, says Valentine should be the number one contender to Ultimate Warrior’s WWF title due to beating him earlier this month, and due to the beating he is going to give Warrior tonight. Hart says it will be so brutal that Warrior will never dare put his hands on him.

Standard Match
Bret “The Hitman” Hart def. Don Muraco W/ Mr. Fuji with a pendulum backbreaker.
*Hart had 5 tokens and Muraco had 4. Great match. One night after Hart eliminated Muraco in the Royal Rumble match.

*Highlights are shown of Ultimate Warrior winning the Royal Rumble and becoming WWF Champion, including his impressive elimination of Andre the Giant.

Grudge Match
Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake submitted “Mr. Electricity”
Steve Regal W/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan with the Sleeper.
*Regal had 4 tokens. After the match, Beefcake gave Regal a humiliating haircut. Dr. Mike Loan was at ringside catching all the action.

*In a backstage promo, it’s The Rockers & WWF Champion Ultimate Warrior! Marty Jannetty talks about how they got so close to becoming the WWF Tag Team Champions at The Royal Rumble, only to come up short. Jannetty they’ve lived and learned, and next time they’ll become the Champions. Shawn Michaels says WWF Champion Ultimate Warrior is a buddy of theirs, and as long as they are around The Quebecers & Greg Valentine won’t be playing the numbers game to their advantage. Warrior says that after he is done with The Quebecers and Valentine tonight, he is coming for Jimmy Hart!

“The Macho Man” Randy Savage & “Sensational” Sherri Martel def. “The Birdman” Koko B. Ware & Rockin’ Robin when Savage pinned Ware after a Flying Elbow Smash.
*Ware had 3 tokens.

*In the event center, Todd Pettengill hypes the first Saturday Night’s Main Event special. He announces the first WWF Intercontinental Champion will be crowned in a Fatal-4-Way Ladder Match on the show with participants to be named later!

Women’s Match
The Fabulous Moolah wrestled Susan Green to a double disqualification for brawling wildly on the outside.

Power & Glory W/ “The Doctor of Style” Slick won over The New Age Outlaws by DQ when The NAO took too long double teaming.
*”Badass” Billy Gunn had 2 tokens, “Road Dogg” Jesse James had 2, Hercules had 1, and Paul Roma had 7. Slick tried to reclaim his team's belongings, but ended up having his cane taken by The Outlaws instead.

*In a logo screen promo, Davina Rose, whose logo involves her name and a rose, says seeing Trish Stratus shake hands with Molly Holly made her want to throw up. Rose says if Stratus was a role model like her, she would have slapped Holly in the face to let her know that she was coming back for that Women’s Championship.

“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes & Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat won over The Masters of the Powerbomb W/ Rock Riddle by DQ when Big Van Vader entered the ring illegally to go after Steamboat, putting him down with a front slam.
*Steamboat had 1 token & Vader had 3. Rhodes instantly shielded Steamboat with his body. Commissioner Charlie Cox quickly sent security, officials, and various wrestlers to the ring to protect his Superbrawl I main event.

*Backstage, Ricky Steamboat thanks Dustin Rhodes for coming to his aid last week. Rhodes says not to mention it and that he can’t stand bullies like Sid, who try to take people out. Rhodes says that’s not what this sport is about. Rhodes says he will do everything in his power to make sure Steamboat makes it to Superbrawl at 100%. Steamboat says he appreciates that and shakes Rhodes’ hand.

Ringside Ally Match (Non-Title)
WCW Women’s Champion Penny Banner W/ Mildred Burke def. Beverly Shade W/ Melina via a Sunset Flip.
*Shade had 2 tokens, while Banner had 2. Melina successfully interfered at one point, pushing Banner chest first into the steel post.

*Gordon Solie catches up with The JYD. Ric Flair jumps off the ring apron with an ax handle on The JYD. Flair then smashes JYD's leg, which was already weakened from the match, repeatedly with a steel chair, injuring him for 2 months. Along with medical personnel, Ron Simmons hits the scene to check on his friend.

Standard Match
The Junkyard Dog def. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair with an atomic drop.
*The JYD had 2 tokens and Flair had 5. Flair got in Gary Michael Capetta’s face before the match, which allowed The JYD to gain an early advantage.

*A match graphic reveals that The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express will meet The Moondogs on this week’s main event in a Tornado Match.

Standard Match
Magnum T.A. won over “The Laughing Man” Hugh Morrus by DQ when The One Man Gang interfered and scoop slammed T.A.
*Morrus had 2 tokens, while T.A. had 1. After the match, Gang held T.A. down to allow Morrus to hit the No Laughing Matter. Nikita Koloff tried to make the save, but Jake Roberts, who was observing from near the entryway, literally tripped Koloff into the steel steps. Sting then came out to confront Roberts, who begged off and rolled into the ring. Sting got in the ring, ducked a charging Gang and pulled down the top rope, causing the big man to topple to the floor. Sting then unloaded with chops and punches on Morrus before clotheslining him to the floor. Meanwhile, Roberts slithered out of the ring and exited the building.

*In the Superbrawl I Report, Tony Schiavone announces that the 6 men who will compete in the Fight the Power Elimination Match for the U.S. Championship are Barry Windham, Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, Lex Luger, 2 Cold Scorpio & Diamond Dallas Page. He also announces WCW World Champion Big Van Vader will defend his title against Ricky Steamboat!

WCW World Tag Team Championship Tournament - Fourth Round (Loser’s Bracket)
(3) The Brisco Brothers W/ Melina def. (2) The Steiner Brothers when Jerry forced Scott to submit with the Figure Four Leglock.
*Rick had 4 tokens, Scott had 4, & Jerry had 1. Morgan Dollar was the referee.

*Jim Ross welcomes Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, & J.J. Dillon to the stage. J.J. says his men are good enough to beat anyone without him at ringside when they are prepared, but when he was ejected for no good reason from Anderson & Blanchard’s Championship tournament match with The Steiners last week, his men were left with no plan. Anderson if they saved the Steiners 10 times, Tully and himself would win 9. Blanchard says it should be them in the next match, and The Brisco Brothers will prove their point. The Steiners come out for the match and go at The Horsemen members but security intervenes.

Re-Match
Joyce Grable def. Christina Von Eerie with a Middle Rope Dropkick.
*The win wasn’t enough for Joyce Grable, who butchered Von Eerie’s mohawk with a pair of hedge clippers after the match. On commentary, Jim Ross noted that Von Eerie’s partner was not in the building.
