Tonight my copy of Blood and Fire, the new book about LOW's The Sheik, was delivered. It will be the next wrestling book I read after I finish Mad Dog Vachon's book.
Has anyone read Blood and Fire yet? If so, what did you think of it? This looks like a good book!

I have it ordered from Amazon and they say it won't ship until May 30. I read there has been a lot of distribution problems with this book.

Mine showed up today as well. I read the introduction and foreward, but I haven't really gotten into it yet. It's high on my list, and I may actually pause my current reading to read this first.

If the library gets a copy, I'll certainly be reading it.

Mine arrived as well on Tuesday. I have read the first three chapters. It's an easy read. The problem is wrestling books keep coming. There is a great one on the British Bulldogs, Mike Rogers has released a Volume 2 of his Portland Wrestling interviews, and he is working on a book on the history of Portland Wrestling, which will be released on John Cosper's Eat Sleep Wrestle publishing house. Later this year a biography on The Sheepherders will be released on Walking on Hot Waffles as well. Rock Riddle's autobiography is expected to be released in time for TNTHOF this summer, and Rock Rims is releasing a biography on The Crippler Ray Stevens this fall, and hopefully will be re-releasing some of his other books. Just a glut of great books to read.

I don't know anything specific about this book but I've heard a lot of books are having production and distribution issues. This seems to be an Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other online retailer issue. If one was willing to pay absurd shipping fees from ECW Publishing, they had plenty of copies. It was more that the retailers didn't buy enough copies and then it was a shipping issue from ECW Publishing. Which makes sense. It's hard to ship a.) from Canada, and b.) large numbers. I think it's crazy that Amazon didn't see how many they needed that they sold out. Poor planning.
