Gordon Solie and Jesse Venture welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Jack Brisco vs. Bob Backlund in a Throw in the Towel match for the LWF World Heavyweight title Ventura introduces the first match, a rematch from two weeks ago.
1. Garea & Zbyszko vs. The Texas Hangmen
Killer and Garea start the match. Killer takes control and the Hangmen wear Garea down with the Hangmen’s Noose. Psycho hits a DDT for a two count. Psycho chokes Garea with the bullrope and Zbyszko is furious on the apron. The Hangmen pummel Garea in the corner. The Hangmen hit the Hangmen Backbreaker but Garea kicks out. Psycho hits a DDT but Garea gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Garea makes the tag to Zbyszko. Zbyszko turns things around and locks the abdominal stretch on Psycho but Psycho fights his way to the ropes. Zbsyzko and Garea hit the Facelock-sunset flip for the win.
Winners - Garea & Zbyszko by pinfall
Ventura puts over the hearts of both teams and Solie goes down to ringside to have a word with Sgt. Slaughter before his next match. Sarge says he’s going solo for a while and has his sights on the LWF World Heavyweight title. Johnny Rodz tries sneak attacking Sarge but Slaughter clotheslines him out of his boots. Solie heads for the hills and the referee has the timekeeper ring the bell.
2. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Johnny Rodz
Sarge hits the throat drop on the top rope to finish Rodz off.
Winner - Sgt. Slaughter by pinfall
Solie says that was an impressive showing by Slaughter. Ventura isn’t impressed and introduces the next match.
3. Brian Blair vs. Mad Dog Vachon
Vachon mauls Blair from the opening bell. Vachon whips Blair to the ropes and Blair rolls him up in a small package for the three count.
Winner - Brian Blair by pinfall
Solie says Vachon probably wants another piece of Blair. Ventura introduces the next match featuring his former partner Adrian Adonis.
4. Tony Atlas vs. Adrian Adonis
Adonis suplexes Atlas to the mat and locks on Goodnight Irene but it’s not enough to put Mr. USA away. Adonis hits a suplex for a two count and locks on Goodnight Irene a second time but Atlas won’t go down! Adonis locks on Goodnight Irene a third time for the win.
Winner - Adrian Adonis by submission
Ventura and Solie introduce the next match.
5. Race & Hennig vs. The Blond Bombers
Race and Patterson start the match. Race quickly takes Patterson down and hits a Piledriver for a two count. Patterson and Race brawl on the outside and the referee catches Patterson nailing Race with a foreign object. The referee calls for the bell.
Winners - Race & Hennig by DQ
A messenger from the back brings a note to the broadcast booth. Race & Hennig will take on the Blond Bombers in a No DQ match next week and the winners will get a shot at the LWF World Tag Team titles! Ventura and Solie introduce the main event.
6. Jack Brisco with Jerry Brisco vs. Bob Backlund with Arnold Skaaland - LWF World Heavyweight TItle Match - throw in the towel rules
Brisco and Backlund grapple back and forth. Backlund clamps on the chicken wing but Brisco will not quit and fights to the ropes. Brisco makes a comeback and hits a gutwrench backbreaker and covers Backlund but Backlund easily kicks out. Backlund turns things around and hits a big vertical suplex and covers Brisco. The referee grabs the mic and reminds them pinfalls don’t count. Backlund and Brisco go back to work. Backlund hits a big underhook suplex but Brisco is soon back on his feet. Backlund locks on the chickenwing but Brisco shouts at his brother not to throw in the towel and fights his way to the ropes. Backlund hits a backbreaker and it looks as if Jerry Brisco may throw in the towel but Jack shakes his head. Backlund and Brisco battle outside the ring. Jack gets the upper hand and rolls Backlund back into the ring. Brisco locks on the figure four and Backlund grits his teeth and drags the two men to the ropes. Brisco hits another big gutwrench backbreaker and Backlund tells Skaaland not to throw in the towel. Brisco locks on the Figure Four but Backlund rolls him over, forcing him to release the hold. Brisco hits a rolling reverse cradle, further wearing Backlund down. Backlund makes a comeback and clamps on the chickenwing! The referee looks to Jerry Brisco. Jerry hangs his head and throws in the towel.
WInner - Bob Backlund by stoppage. Bob Backlund has regained the LWF World Heavyweight title.
Jack Brisco hands Backlund the belt and tells him to keep it warm. He’s going to team with his brother for a while in Australia but he’ll be back. Brisco raises Backlund’s hand. Ventura and Solie sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Race & Hennig vs. The Blond Bombers in a No DQ match!
