You know, Vegas , with how close Kansas and Nebraska are to one another, and the speed limits - or lack thereof - in Kansas, if you are able to rent a car one way you could fly into Kansas City, get some great BBQ from Jack Stack in KC, which would allow you to knock off another state. Just a thought. That is a great idea! I have not been to Kansas yet and back in 2018 when I was in Kansas City, Missouri I actually almost rented a car to go to nearby Kansas City, Kansas. I did not do that back in 2018 though as I only had a day in Kansas City, Missouri and there were alot of things I did in Kansas City, Missouri (Royals game, national World War I Museum, the Negro League Players Hall of Fame, The Plaza, BBQ which included one meal at a Jack Stack location in Kansas City, Missouri, etc) so I just did not have time that year. I looked it up and Kansas City, Kansas is less than 3 hours from Omaha. Wichita (where I think there might be more flight options) is less than 5 hours from Omaha (only a little more than the trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles which we and my friends are making again this weekend for BOLA.) I might need to plan an extra day and knock Kansas off the list. I am actually spring breaking in KC, in Kansas, this year visiting my best friend on the planet. There's tons of stuff to do. I'd recommend stopping by Waldo Pizza. Nebraska Hop God is a Belgian White IPA and is to die for. However, I'd make certain you only drink one - as it doesn't punch you in the mouth like its abv would tell you it should.

Earlier in this thread, I mentioned if I go to Nebraska before going on to Iowa for Galactiocn then I will have been to 30 states. I went over the list of US states, and then recounted again to make sure, and it turns out Wisconsin (where I went last July after going to Galacticon in Chicago) was my 30th US state. So if, on my way to Galacticon this Summer, I go to Kansas and Nebraska then they will be my 31st and 32nd US states (unless I first also go to another new US state in March during my Spring Break.)

I'm only missing 7 states that I have never been to. North Dakota Idaho Washington Oregon Alaska Hawaii And believe it or not FLORIDA! Everyone but me has been to Florida.
How do you go to 43 states and none of them is the state everyone goes to for one reason or another??
You definitely have me beat in countries though, as I've only been to Mexico and Canada - never been across either pond.

But of the 7 states you listed, I have been to all of them except North Dakota and Alaska. I have been to 10 countries (United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Japan, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, and Germany.) The current plan is to make France the 11th next Christmas.

I of course live in Las Vegas. You should consider coming here this August for the CAC. I heard Chad say on Uncharted Territory that he won't be able to make it in August because it is too close to the start of the school year at his job. But perhaps Tim and Tom (who lives next door in Arizona) might still be there?

Our contracted dates look different and there is no way I can take the first three days before we start school off. Shoot! I have flexibility the week before - I can work one day Monday through Thursday and could easily make it Thursday. Bummer to end all bummers about the date being so close and not a weekend. Maybe next year they make it a week earlier!

I have been to quite a few Galacticons and one HOF. I am excited that they will be together this year- even if it is just a one-time occurrence. While I enjoyed the HOF, I like playing the games better than I like the meet-and-greets, so if I had to choose one or the other, Galacticon will win out.
That having been said- where's the hotel and the sign-up info?
Thanks!

I will get a GalactiCon page up in early February with the info as well.

EpicDave, I believe, if you check the TNTHOF Facebook page, there is a current post about a discounted rate for hotel at Best Western Plus Executive in Waterloo, IA. It's within walking distance of the convention center, and it's in walking distance of the hall itself and everything else. It also has a bar in it where you can hang out with the wrestlers. Tournament Master also noted that if you don't want to do the All-Inclusive pass from TNTHOF Induction weekend, and just want to do Galacticon, GCON only tickets are available.
