I had no idea what a Runza was so I looked it up and it and I got: "ground beef seasoned with a top-secret blend of spices and mixed with cabbage and onions all inside fresh baked bread."
Is it possible to order a Runza without onions (I can't eat onions) or are they already mixed in with the ground beef? If I can order a Runza without onions then I would like to try one as the pictures I saw looked good other than the onions factor.

G-Con Cuisine...a book just waiting to be written. The 24 hour Taco Bar has to be in the book!

24 works even when longer.
Anyways, best and worst things you've eaten during Galacticon trips.

TK can correct me if I'm wrong, as it's been years since I've had a Runza but I believe the Runzas are all premade so I don't think you can get them without the onions. I know you can buy cases of frozen Runzas to take home and bake. We had a case in my house that my parents picked up for us on a road trip in the last year. My kids tried them for the first time and loved them. From what I recall, I don't think there are many onions in the restaurant versions. The Runza restaurants also have other flavors of Runzas, such as BLT, mushroom & swiss, and other limited-time ones.

OK, I will have to pass on the Runzas then as they would not be safe for me to eat. That is the same reason I have never been able to eat a burger from White Castle. I can have onion powder but not actual onions. However, there were alot of other places here that were mentioned that also sound good to eat at in Nebraska such as King Kong Burger so there should be plenty of good food options there even without the Runzas. I am looking forward to seeing Nebraska before going on to Waterloo this July!

You know, Vegas, with how close Kansas and Nebraska are to one another, and the speed limits - or lack thereof - in Kansas, if you are able to rent a car one way you could fly into Kansas City, get some great BBQ from Jack Stack in KC, which would allow you to knock off another state. Just a thought.

Just a thought. That is a great idea! I have not been to Kansas yet and back in 2018 when I was in Kansas City, Missouri I actually almost rented a car to go to nearby Kansas City, Kansas. I did not do that back in 2018 though as I only had a day in Kansas City, Missouri and there were alot of things I did in Kansas City, Missouri (Royals game, national World War I Museum, the Negro League Players Hall of Fame, The Plaza, BBQ which included one meal at a Jack Stack location in Kansas City, Missouri, etc) so I just did not have time that year. I looked it up and Kansas City, Kansas is less than 3 hours from Omaha. Wichita (where I think there might be more flight options) is less than 5 hours from Omaha (only a little more than the trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles which we and my friends are making again this weekend for BOLA.) I might need to plan an extra day and knock Kansas off the list.
