Sounds like a Great Idea going to try to make the trip! Cannot say enough good things about the weekend as a whole. Also, in talking to Tournament Master, it would appear as though getting the all access VIP pass to the TNTHOF, would mean only needing to pay for the exclusive cards - rather than a full ticket to GCON. I will be booking my ticket probably two weeks from Wednesday! Super excited for this weekend and have had my hotel booked since like late August.

My plan right now for Galacticon 34 is to fly into Omaha, Nebraska so I can add Nebraska to my list of states I have visited. Unless I go to another new state before July (which is possible as I look over potential Spring Break plans,) Nebraska will be my landmark 30th state. Omaha's AAA team plays St. Paul the days before Galactcion and I definitely plan on going to one of those games. I also want to go to the Omaha zoo as somebody I met when I was in Berlin this past weekend swears the Omaha zoo is one of the best in the world. I also need to eat a Reuben sandwich when I am in Nebraska and some places I have heard recommended for Reubens in Omaha include Crescent Moon, Wohlner's, and The Committee Chophouse. If Thomas (TK) is able to join me for any of these things in Omaha next July then he is more than welcome! TK is an awesome friend who has suggested we drive together from Omaha to Waterloo and the least I could do in return is buy him a meal at a place like Crescent Moon. I am looking forward to Galacticon in Waterloo in July!

You can get two birds with one stone at the Crescent Moon and have Rueben Eggrolls...I know they sound like a$$ but are š„ (as the young 'uns say these days!)
The Omaha Zoo is awesome and definitely a must while visiting...Storm Chasers (AAA baseball team) games are always fun as well!
In Benson (a suburb of Omaha), there is a 21+ arcade there that is fun as hell...across the street is a VR place that is great!
Malcolm X birth place...botanical gardens...
Plus, can drive to Des Moines for Zombie Burger or Fong's Pizza (Crab Ragoon is the š©), Mayhem Comics and Collectibles, and an arcade in Clive,IA is always fun...or can head to Lincoln to see Salt Dogs (another baseball team) and there is a bar there that has duck confit fries to die for.
Several good places to eat (Trust me, I went to Culinary School AND I'm fat as hell XD)
Looking forward to this summer!

Zeke, I lived about 90 minutes west of Omaha for seven years and loved Nebraska. I agree with Thomas and others that the Omaha Zoo is awesome!
I would say if you're in Nebraska, you need to try a Runza. If you're feeling really Nebraskan, you can eat chili with a cinnamon roll. (I was never brave enough to eat that combination.) Another good restaurant in Omaha and Lincoln is King Kong Burger. Obviously, their burgers are great but they also have good gyros. Lots of good eatin' in the Good Life!

Cory you and Thomas (TK) have sold me on going to Nebraska this Summer before going next door to Iowa for Galctiocn/Tragos Thesz weekend.

Today I bought my ticket to the 2023 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Induction Weekend.
This year my friend Ben and his wife Kathrine from Las Vegas told me they are making the trip to waterloo for their first time. They will be arriving separately from me though as they are actually making the drive from Las Vegas.
Ben is a ring announcer who works for Jessie Hernandez's EWF in SoCal and he has been a regular at the CAC for years. I often see Ben at shows and he rode over with me and some mutual friends to PWG last month. I think Chad and Tim might recognize Ben when they see him (and I think Tim may have played him in cribbage once too, I remember for sure that Ben once played Jeff Sharkey in the annual cribbage tournament.)

I agree with TK, that Reuben egg rolls are quite good. I also recommend going to Zio's Pizza and second Cory's recommendation of Runza. The Stormchasers stadium is very cool.

So many better pizza places than Zio's... which I don't care for... Lighthouse pizza and Copps are far superior! Trust the fat guy!
