I do not believe in segregation. I believe my feds are stronger when everyone works together and are just one big melting pot of awesomeness. I do not judge a card on the color, or lack of, on it's front but the content of the stats on the back of the card.
Kidding aside I have always mixed sets and lines. When I roll cards it is for my enjoyment and that is what I like. If someone else prefers to keep things separate based on color vs b&w, lines, years LOW wrestlers actually wrestled or any combination of these good for them. All promotors should play what brings them the most joy. I just hope people do not get stuck on certain things and miss out on even more fun. Like with food, try different things now and then. If you like it that opens up new possibilities. If you do not, no harm, just go back to what you enjoyed to start with.

Go ahead and mix and don't feel bad about it. I subscribe to the Jim Cornette booking theory, "two guys/girls are gonna fight, who's gonna win?"
I mix B/W and Color, and I also mix LOW and COTG. Wolf makes a great opponent for just about any of the Legends, for example.
That's the great thing about this game. Who we play and how we play it is up to us. When we have questions, we come here, find answers, and share ideas
If I have a B/W and a Color card of a particular wrestler (I play exclusively Online) I'll play the Color card and use the B/W card to Create A Character, but that's just me.

I’ve always mixed. Are people really shelving their b&w sets and just sitting around waiting to play with stuff they already own until it’s colored? Do people run feds only using the official color cards? That is pretty much how it worked for me. I don’t mix at all. It appears that I am in the minority. I will say that they’re something classic about the black and white art that I miss. Might be the reason I enjoyed Batman Black & White comic series so much. I tend to agree with the thoughts of Vegas

I mixed for a long time because there were certain wrestlers (Andre, Ride, Gang) that I wanted in my fed. But then I realized that if I used only color cards it’d force me to learn about some wrestlers I didn’t know anything about (Bob Roop). So, yes, I only play with the color cards, currently and am having a blast doing it. But I would certainly bring in Andre or Ride if I had a storyline and wouldn’t think anything of it. Right now though I’m having fun exploring. Use the cards you want to use! Have fun! There’s no right or wrong way. Now of the question is “Do you use bootlegs in your legends fed?” that’d get a much more decisive answer from me.

I don't really use bootlegs in my fed. Been pondering whether to create a specific bootleg fed for such a purpose. I keep indy stuff seperate too. So wouldn't see Evolve/ROH etc guys involved. However I might run the odd exhibition card from these rosters where they face each other but not LOW guys and also give it a card number. If that makes sense.
Not really against mixing B&W cards with colour. I am so far behind I am actually using B&W exclusively but will go all colour. I tend to progress my fed in order of sets. That being said, if and when I do go all colour I am of similar thought to a few others where exceptions will be made, Andre being the main one!

Since I play online, no bootlegs, though there are some really fun ones out there.

I mix in all aspects...
Black & white and color, no problem...official and bootleg, A-OK with me...
I do prioritize color over black & white if a wrestler exists in both, and obviously official over bootleg, but if there's a card out there for a wrestler I'm interested in, and the card is quality (there are a lot of bootlegs I'd never use because they use real photos, are poorly laid out, have garbage stats, or in some cases a combination of all of those things) I've got no issues using them.

I mix as well.
I also like to run super cards that cross over the various games.
Like one time I did a ladder match between Space Monkey and Mandrill. Space Monkey did not have a very good time.
