I use boots. My own, the WWE set, NWA sets etc…all stats either written by or assisted by the LOW team. I would/will use Grant’s new Adam Pearce and others like it where the LOW guys were involved for the same reason.
What’s the difference?

In reality none and while I don't use bootlegs in my own feds, the Adam Pearce card is certainly one that I considering adding to the mix in my Maple Leaf Wrestling fed. I won't add him into my annual legends tournament however. That is reserved for official colour tabletop cards only.

I mix as well. I also like to run super cards that cross over the various games. Like one time I did a ladder match between Space Monkey and Mandrill. Space Monkey did not have a very good time. I remember years ago thinking about running a PWG/Kronos like fed. No super heavy storylines but little things mixed in with dream matches for the time. Like Road Warriors-Gladiators, Draconian Shiek-Shiek, Monolith-Dr Death. I was wanting to have a story where Danielson considered himself a legend but others didn’t and tried to squash guys like Brown Starfish. Also something where Les Thatcher had a huge problem with The Colony. Maybe some day.

I definitely mix B&W/Color cards. I replace the B&W when they get new color cards. I also use boots in my Legends feds but I use ones that fall into FG card guidelines and ones that the team has helped make. I find they fit in quite well. If those cards get official ones, I choose the version I like better.

I think if I owned any B&W cards I would definitely use them, and then like some said - replace them as they are released in color.
I have been using some bootlegs because there are some big names I want to include in my NWA fed. I mean, look at my user name and I think you'll guess who some of them are! 😱

I always enjoy reading other promoters' thoughts on this topic. As we've gotten more of the original B&W cards in color, I have been enjoying the fact that my active USWA roster has a lot of color cards in it. There's something about the Legends background (or uniform backgrounds like the TNT HOF cards) on all the cards that I like having. But if someone has only been released in B&W, I will use them if it fits my plans and storylines.
I don't incorporate bootlegs on a regular basis. I've mentioned this on UTP and I think when I was a guest on Roll Up that part of my fun in playing Legends is challenging myself to make use only of official cards. Even if I would really want to use someone not in the game such as Ric Flair, Terry Funk, or Jack Veneno on a regular basis, I will usually only use bootlegs against each other for special attraction matches. I like to come up with ways to use only the official cards and see what possibilities I can make.
