Ok, so ever since we’ve switched to color, I’ve been adamant about not using B & W cards with them. HOWEVER, the recent announcement of Big John Studd basically begs that I dust off a certain Giant in black and white, not to mention more than a few other Legends. Anyone else considering “mixing” due to recent developments?

I’ve always mixed. Are people really shelving their b&w sets and just sitting around waiting to play with stuff they already own until it’s colored?
Do people run feds only using the official color cards?

Anyone else considering “mixing” due to recent developments? So I only started LOW when they had the color starter set and then some SE cards. Since then I've purchased every color set offered/SE/LE cards. I have purchased a few B&W cards (Andre, Bryan Danielson, etc) and I treat them as "one-offs" or "special attractions". So I use them with color, but they don't have a permanent place on my roster. All that being said, I don't think there is an issue mixing. Some might not think it's aesthetically pleasing, but the nuts and bolts of the game/cards is the same - so I'd go with it. Andre v Big John Studd could totally be a one-off in your fed and I'd genuinely be excited to roll that match.

I use Andre as a special attraction but mostly I just use the color cards. I have 200+ and the only wrestlers I miss are Mil and Sabu (as Sheik is not online)

I’ve always mixed. Are people really shelving their b&w sets and just sitting around waiting to play with stuff they already own until it’s colored? Do people run feds only using the official color cards? In my LOW fed I have been doing this. But it is not because I can't mix black and white cards with color cards, it is because I like figuring out how to bring in the cards as they get announced. For example, with this upcoming set, if I am currently feuding Fuji and Saito against the British Bulldogs and Fuji and Saito will now have color cards then I just switch the black and white cards with the color cards and have them continue their feud with the British Bulldogs. No real new booking decisions there. But by only using color cards, when a new LOW set gets released, all the wrestlers are new to my fed (a spinoff to my previous LOW fed) and again I enjoy figuring out how to incorporate all the names as they are announced and released. Having said that, I have used Andre the Giant's black and white card for some special attraction appearances and once practically all of the black and white LOW cards that can be converted into color have been converted into color, I will bring in the remaining names I want to use with their black and white cards. It is not like I would never use for example Tiger Mask ever again just because he does not have a color card.

I have generally used color cards exclusively since the switch, and don't even like to mix the different color lines. The only exception I make is Sky Low Low and Little Beaver... Cause I'm probably alone in pulling for a color update of those two.

I'm pretty sure Bri would like them too considering they're in most feds he posts.

It is not like I would never use for example Tiger Mask ever again just because he does not have a color card. Agree. I can’t imagine not using Rude because his skin isn’t colored. It’s fascinating because I totally get it the anxiety behind not mixing different products - I used to be the same way w GWF - very uncomfortable getting too far away from Tom’s stuff. Then one day I just stopped feeling that way. Like an off button.

I definitely mix. Especially because I could have a story where a b&w version of a card fits better with what I’m trying to do. Before the color update, Black Glove Dibiase would’ve been an example. I have too many cards to shelve someone like Sabu or Rude and never use them again.
For me, stats are stats and the meat of what I am doing. I had a harder time years ago mixing LOTF and Indie lines with LOW because I didn’t want a result that really bothered me.
