New here and I’m in the process of checking the game out online before I take the plunge 😂
I’m trying to figure out what would be the best entry point for me regarding sets to start with. I got hooked with wrestling as a kid watching Ronnie Garvin and when Andre the Giant walked by me to the ring 😮
I did see in another thread that Andre might be available in an older black and white set. Is that correct? I can’t imagine a wrestling game without the one who hooked me.
Anyway any guidance you folks could provide including recommendations and YouTube videos would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Start with the color starter set, which will give you 16 Legends plus everything you need to play the game on your tabletop. Add on from there based on your specific interests.
For playthrough videos, you can't go wrong with the Solo Promoter channel on YouTube.
Welcome and have fun!

Thank you! Welcome to this wonderful game! I'm a relative newcomer myself as well. In addition to the Color Starter Set I would also recommend Expansion Set #1 as that gives you 6 great tag teams to round out your tag division. Expansion Pack #6 is good for that too as it contains The British Bulldogs and The Powers Of Pain. I agree with natureboi that the Solo Promoter channel on YouTube is a fantastic resource. Grant, who runs the channel, has a lot of suggestions on running a federation in his Promoter Toolbox section. He also has videos showing the card art for each set in the Legends Of Wrestling Overview section of his channel which is useful if artwork is a factor in determining what sets you want to buy. One of the more long-term members on the board would be able to help you out in finding the black and white Andre card. Once again, welcome and enjoy the game!

It's best to start with the starter set. and then go from there. Welcome to our universe.

Definitely the starter set. Eventually you'll want more. I've gone on to purchase all the color sets/LE/SE cards. The entire ROH package, the entire Chikara package and all of CZW. So it's easy to get hooked lol

Starter set for sure. After that, there's a list of whose in each set and pick the sets that have more of your favorites. I particularly enjoy the TNT sets myself.

I would recommend the following based on your starting point: Andre The Giant Black & White SE card ($2) The Color Starter Pack Expansion Pack #1 (Tag Teams) Expansion Pack #2 (Mid Atlantic set) I'd also say take a look at the rosters for the TNTHOF Sets, which I believe have not been updated - only updated through set #2. Set three was released in July of 2022 and contains: 1. Sgt. Slaughter 2. Don Kernodle 3. Ken Shamrock 4. Mark Henry 5. Penny Banner 6. Dan Spivey 7. Mike Rotunda 8. Antonio Inoki It's a blast of a game! Here is a list of the set rosters for Legends Of Wrestling, note that the color sets are all in print - many of the Black and White Sets are out of print. filsingergames.com/legends-of-wrestling/legends-roster/

Welcome to the community! Great group of people and a great game. You can't go wrong with a starter set as it gives you who the charts and dice plus instuctions. Then you can fill out your roster based on the sets and what wrestlers you like the best. No wrong way to do it friend! Glad to have you

Like everyone else has said- starter set. I slowly grew my rosters with expansion 8 & 9, and then when this year's Northeast set was announced I went crazy and bought a bunch of expansion sets and manager cards to start filling out my feds. Welcome to the club and have fun!

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions!
I also forgot to ask if any of the following wrestlers are available in a pack as I didn’t see them on a roster?
Kamala the Ugandan Giant Hulk Hogan Ric Flair Ricky Steamboat The Junkyard Dog Ron Garvin Ron Wright Ron Fuller (Tennessee Stud)
I’ve subscribed to the YouTube channel and checking that out now.
