Trying to get the jump on Gunslinger with this post. LOL! What wrestlers do you think are particularly well laid out? From a statistics AND strategic perspective? For example... Jim Londos is an absolute master at wearing down his opponents during those matches that last a little longer than usual... The PIN 4(1) rating... Add 1 moves on L2O and L3O... Along with that finisher mechanic... I think it's one of the most cleverly laid out cards in the game... It really captures his style in a unique way. William Muldoon's setup is similar but not quite as effective and is one of my favorite cards.

I think Mike Jackson works well with his design. He is definitely not going to be beating the top guys, but just strong to knock off guys with some luck.

I ran a couple of recent programs with him... One with Scotty Riggs and another with Vampiro... He performed quite admirably in both... He almost scored an upset over Vampiro in their first encounter... And he defeated Riggs to kick off their rivalry which ended with Riggs winning the managerial services of Melina (I think that's how it happened)... He has become a fixture for any Legends fed that I play.

William Muldoon has been actively used in my Fed for some time. No matter who else comes and goes, he's been a fixture. Neer held a title but he's had title matches. I run my Fed by an annual calendar: four Saturday shows per month plus four Tuesday shows. I've added some lower level titles over the years because the lower and mid-carders have been much more fun at times and have more intense feuds than the top ranked guys. I have five individual titles and three tag titles. The DQ result generally drives my feuds and I will occasionally spice things up with factions that arise from the action. I've tried manufacturing factions in the past only to have them fail miserably. One faction was known as "The Corporation" and I used a bootleg Paul Heyman to run it. I loaded it with some serious heels only to see them lose so consistently I shut it down. The one good thing that came out of this is the rise of 2 Cold Scorpio to giant killer status. He consistently beat so many of Hayman's faction that the only sure way for anyone to beat him was to ambush him as a group. That led me to form the Soul Patrol tag team with Tony Atlas and a bootleg Rocky Johnson and they kicked Corporation ass. These days I tend to stay away from "gimmicky" wrestlers other than Prince Kharis and Vampiro and I don't have any current faction or stable. The addition of James Mitchell to the roster has made me re-think that but I'm not there yet. I'm also not currently using bootlegs any longer. There are just too many good wrestlers in the regular editions. My Fed, the IWA started with the very first Legends release and has been run on and off for 237 cards. I currently do 8 matches per card and have 44 wrestlers in the Fed,though may add a couple more in the near future. If someone loses too much (Jim Londos, Dan Severn) they quietly disappear. Good guys can be heels and vice versa if needed. I'm glad to see this discussion started, it sounds like there are a lot of similar ideas but there are also some really neat appraoches as well.

At the end of the Season I keep track of wrestlers contracts and how many months they stay on. Then I do a free agent and renewing of contracts session that lets me see who leaves and who stays and for how long and if there are any conditions. Also if there are free agents up for hire and whether they want a long or short term contract. Also free agents may pop in for a couple shows and go on their way. This is all done by using a solo rpg "Oracle" system of rolling dice and getting a STRONG YES, YES, YES BUT, MAYBE, MAYBE BUT, NO BUT, NO, STRONG NO and other nuances. Can you share a bit about how you use Oracle for this?

One who I donβt think will get a lot of mention is Warlord. Warlord is the perfect glass cannon. Awesome on offense but his defense keeps him in check. Another is Steve Corino, the way heβs built to take a beating and keep coming.

I think it's very cool that he got an 'A' deathjump rating -- Something that's very rare among power based wrestlers in the game... How many times did he catch someone leaping off the top rope and then crushing them with a big slam? Just because a guy is big and strong, does not mean he does not know how to counter a high risk move... Andre and Vader have 'A' deathjump ratings as well... And I think it suits them perfectly!

Hell, Vader's card is perfect for capturing the feel of his matches. The Legends team knew how to use him better than the WWF and WCW/

I feel like more power guys prob deserve an A or B when they often automatically get hit w a C. Especially in COTG,
