As I keep moving merrily along there's a bump on the road.
One of the characters is changing before my eyes. As I write the character this person is taking on a life of its own.
The only thing I can compare it to is the evolution of Tharkas from a prototypical alien conqueror to a sometimes humorous, almost satirical, bigoted alien conqueror!
This is causing me to re-evaluate some storylines and the way the character I am writing now is presented.
I'm glad it's happening. A strong character knows who they are and as a writer my job is to listen.
By the way it's a character everybody already knows.

Just finished writing the first draft of one of the most important "reveals" in the history of Champions of the Galaxy.
It's putting the ORIGINS in Origins 2139!
A lot of past history was revealed in these four sets but none like the main one that it has been leading to.
I'm writing Origins 2139 at a brisk clip. As always, there's a lot going on.
The drama builds!

I'm up to five characters finished by Darryl with coloring and backgrounds being worked on by Tom Rickert.
Just sent three more characters with art direction to Darryl, super excited about these three, but then again I am excited about all of them! But these three have a particular story...
Will soon re-read what I wrote last week for the handbook and have since largely forgotten, which is my usual practice. I can read as if I am a fan myself that way, it is intentional. First, think, think, think (takes months), Second, write spontaneously. Third, re-read and edit. Fourth, keep editing (that takes a long time too). That's how the handbook comes along.
Then when I tighten the narratives I will start writing the bios to bring it all together.
The bios are already outlined with notes but not written in narrative form yet with the usual "Filsinger dramatic flair." (no offense to Ric Flair!)
Also worked today on a bonus item, another first in the COTG mythos! It's something I will enjoy owning myself as a collector and fan.
We never stop being creative and trying new things here at Fed HQ, but then again, why should we! Life would sure be boring that way.
Any guesses on new alliances that will be forming? It's gonna happen!

I could see Istar already leaving Deva and officially joining the Heroes and maybe not with Titans, but perhaps a 'new' Ani-Man team?

The origins reveal has to do with Titan Power. I have a feeling it might really shake up things in the GWF and put a whole new spin on what we knew about Lord Nexus and the Titan teams thru the years.
