Thanks so much for all the positive feedback, though shout out to Cory Olson for his his help cracking how to do a Legends fed for me. It definitely energizes me and gets the creative juices flowing on how to make this fed even better. I'm still getting things figured out in terms of the roster, the structure of my game year, and the titles (should I add a North American/United States title?), but i've also got a number of exciting ideas to try to work in over the next year or so of game time. I also have a GWF fed if you're into that, which you can see here. It's a bit of a different format but I'm moving the writing style in that fed to match what I'm doing here. I'm going to roll and post a number of AWF cards this weekend, but in the meantime.... Highlights from AWF Championship Wrestling on ESPN airing Thursday, July 16th and 23rd, 1987 We heard from Jimmy Hart, appearing with his client Masked Superstar. Jimmy was more animated that usual, holding and waving a stack of paperwork in his hands. Gordon Solie implored him to calm down to no avail. He excitedly declared that, since Fit Finlay had not actually escaped the CAMEL HOLD, he is NOT entitled to Jimmy's $25,000! And this contract signed with the AWF proves it! Jimmy demands that his money be returned within 30 days or he'll get a court order baby! Masked Superstar stood behind stone faced the entire time. Dynamite Kid made his AWF television debut, wrestling circles around Jerry Milliman. He was interviewed by Lance Russell, in which he declared came to this country to wrestle the best and the best are right here in the AWF. He passionately declared his intention to win every title on offer and promised not to eat, sleep, or drink until he had done so. Russell questioned the training wisdom of not eating, drinking, or sleeping, which drew a glare from Dynamite as he walked off. Lance Russell smirked but acknowledged the Dynamite Kid certainly looks very impressive and is one to watch. There's something special for you every day on ESPN!Next we heard from "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, clearly still disturbed by his altercation with Abdullah the Butcher. He admitted as much as he challenged the Sudanese big man to face him in the ring at Super Summer Sizzler Spectacular on August 8th. he promised to take back his award and his dignity. Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Magnum T.A., and Barry Windham stepped forward to respond to Sgt. Slaughter, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and "Ace" Bob Orton. Duggan, with his trademark charisma and conviction in his voice, assured the crowd that they were ready to face their adversaries. He emphasized their skills, courage, and loyalty to the fans, vowing to teach the villains a lesson they would never forget. Magnum T.A. exuded confidence as he dismissed the villain's venomous words, expressing their worthiness to stand against their opponents. He emphasized their commitment to honor, integrity, and the American spirit, ready to overcome any challenge. Barry Windham, calm and focused, reassured the crowd that they had studied their opponents closely, confident in their ability to thwart any deceitful tactics. Windham emphasized their unwavering friendship and shared goal to restore justice in the ring. The heroes' response ignited cheers from the audience, who fervently supported their resolve. Lastly, Curt Henning defended the AWF Television Title against Rob Van Dam. The challenger came to the ring first, alone. He took the mic and declared he asked Bill Alphonso not to be at ringside, as he wanted to prove to the world he's a better wrestler than Curt Henning and can beat him straight up. The champion then appeared, exuding confidence as always, spitting out and swatting away his gum into the crowd. The match was a technical masterclass, with both men showcasing their abilities early and often. Rob Van Dam took the upper hand, tossing Henning out of the ring as the crowd sensed a conclusion may be coming. However, the champion surprised RVD with a handful of chalk dust to the face while the pair were on the arena floor! He then rolled the challenger back into the ring and hit the HENNING-PLEX to successfully defend his title!

1- Fit Finlay, appearing with briefcase in hand, responded to Jimmy Hart’s claim that his victory over Masked Superstar was illegitimate. 2- We heard from Rob Van Dam with Bill Alphonso, who lamented his recent loss to Curt Henning via having chalk thrown in his eyes. He said it was a huge mistake to not have Fonize in his corner, which is a mistake he’ll never make again. And in fact it proved to him he needs even more backup. With that, he introduced his new tag tea, partner…the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal, SABU! Sabu appeared but said nothing, staring into the camera intensely and pointing to the sky…
3- AWF World Television Champion Curt Henning defended his title against Sam Houston, pinning him with minimal effort. AWF Super Summer Sizzler Spectacular
Card 6 Saturday, August 8th, 1987 War Memorial Auditorium- Buffalo, New York The AWF makes it’s long awaited debut in upstate New York! 8 big matches on the card sure to entertain wrestling fans of all ages! Let’s get to the ring! 1- The opening match got us off to a hot start as the Midnight Express with Jim Cornette took on the Killer B’s! This match showcased the athleticism of both teams early and often, with lots of high flying and double team action. The Midnight Express eventually took the upperhand and kept it, with a failed switch attempt by the B’s eventually leading their defeat via pinfall when Bobby Eaton pinned B. Brian Blair. 2- Next up we saw the hotshot rookie, Dynamite Kid, get his first real test as he took on Jerry Lynn. This was, as expected, kind of technical masterclass that make so many of us love this sport. Jerry Lynn’s experience came through, but the talent of Dynamite Kid could not be denied. He eventually pinned Lynn to keep his impressive winning streak intact. 3- Hostilities were renewed as Adrian Adonis and Greg Valentine, with Jimmy Hart in their corner, took on Marty Jannety and Manny Fernandez. This one was heated from the opening bell as Gary Michael Cappetta was barely able to finish introductions before fists started flying. Jannety and Fernandez fought valiantly, but eventually Jimmy hart interjected himself when Jannetty was out on the floor, smashing him with his megaphone out of view of the referee. From there Adrian Adonis applied the GOODNIGHT IRENE to score the win. 4- Next up was a big one as “Dr. Death” Steve Williams faced his fears, taking on Abdullah The Butcher with Jim Cornette. There was an eriee sense in the air through this match, and Dr. Death appeared tentative throughout. He was able to gain the advantage but the Sudanese monster again suddenly spat out what appeared to be blood, covering a stunned Dr. Death! The match was immediately ended but Abdullah laid waste to the Oklahoma Sooner post match, leaving a broken man behind him as he headed back to the dressing room. 5- AWF World Tag Team Champions The Road Warriors then appeared, defending their titles against the Mukley Brothers. This match was not quite as straightforward as maybe expected, with the Mulkey’s gaining the upper hand several time in the match. It was, of course, to no avail. But after the match the Road Warriors certainly appeared to understand their effort wasn’t good enough, a better team likely would have taken the titles… 6- Next up it was the hotly anticipated $30,000 challenge I Quit Match between Masked Superstar with Jimmy Hart and Fit Finlay. Masked Superstar clearly had spent his time wisely, and he abused Finaly from pillar to post from the opening bell. Nothing Fit Finlay tried worked and he was forced to submit when masked Superstar used a steel chair across his neck to choke him. Jimmy Hart bounced around the ring with glee as he reclaimed the briefcase with the $30,000. Will be be a little smarter with him money from now on? 7- After that we got a rematch between Disco Inferno and Sam Houston. This match entertained, though eventually Sam Houston got the pin after a BULLDOG. He made sure to watch his back on the way back to the locker room, as disco was unable to sneak attack the Texan again. 8- In the Main Event, AWF World Champion Sgt. Slaughter, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and “Ace” Bob Orton with Dark Patriot in their corner, took on “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Magnum T.A., and Barry Windham. The heroes kept control of this match for the majority of the match, though Slaughter picked his spots to get in and out. The match spilled out onto the floor and the referee lost control of the match. Duggan got in a 3 point stance and shelacked Sgt Slaughter, pinning him for what seemed like an easy win, but there’s was no referee to count! He was too busy trying to control the outside when Piper grabbed a steel chair and laid Magnum T.A. out, triggering a disqualification! Duggan jumped out of the ring and chased the heels to the back with Windham to end the show.

Card 7 Saturday, August 22nd, 1987 The Omni, Atlanta GA Gordon Solie welcomes everyone to the Omni for a big night of AWF action. Tonight we’ll see Sgt. Slaughter defend the AWF World Heavyweight Championship against “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan! He recaps how we got here, from Sgt. Slaughter’s infamous appearance on Piper’s Pit to Hacksaw covering Sarge at the Super Summer Sizzler Spectacular for a seeming 3 count, albeit with no referee. Lets get to the ring! This segment will appear on a future episode of AWF Championship Wrestling on ESPN
1- In the opening match, Mike Jackson took on a debuting “Dancin’” Stevie Richards. Stevie took to the mic and declared himself the original king of swing, and talked about how excited he was to show the AWF all his slick moves. This brought out an irate Disco Inferno, who had to be held back by AWF agents. The match began and, after some early trouble, Richards got the win after STEVIE KICK. This segment will air on a future episode of AWF Power Pro Wrestling2- Next we saw Fit Finlay, making his first appearance after losing the $30,000 briefcase. He appeared sluggish as he took on the dynamic Dynamite Kid. Dynamite made use of his array of technical skills and won this match with little fanfare. The dirt sheets have mentioned he was very unhappy with the way his match at Super Summer Sizzler Spectacular went, and may be on his way to NCW. This segment will air on a future episode of AWF Power Pro Wrestling
3- Our 3rd match of the evening was Rob Van Dam and Sabu with Bill Alphonso against Marty Jannetty and Manny Fernandez. This was an entertaining match and the styles of the two teams seemed to mesh well. Jannetty and Van Dam particularly showed a lot of chemistry. Ultimately a well times distraction by Alphonso allowed Sabu and Van Dam to team up for an Arabian Facebuster to get the 1-2-3. Strong debut, but can they keep using illegal moves with such frequency before it catches up to them? 4- Next Jimmy Hart came to the ring with Masked Superstar in tow. Apparently he hasn’t learned his lesson as he now putting $35,000 of his own money on the line to anyone who can escape the COBRA HOLD and pin Masked Superstar. Hillbilly Jim took his turn but was unable to overcome the former Olympian. Where exactly is Jimmy Hart going with this stunt? 5- Next up we saw Mike Rotunda take on George South. The former Syracuse letterwinner made short work of his opponent, pinning South after a textbook cross body block off the top rope. 6- Finally in our Main Event, AWF World Heavyweight Champion Sgt. Slaughter defended his title against “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. Duggan came to the ring first with a huge pop, while Slaughter took his time, with Dark Patriot appearing as a ring side ally. Slaughter slowed the pace down at every opportunity, frequently throwing Duggan out of the ring to stall for time or bailing out to the floor himself. Finally, with the tension continuing to mount, he tossed Duggan out again, this time following to the arena floor. With Dark Patriot distracting the official, Slaughter smashed Duggan over the head with the steel chair! He then tossed the challenger back in the ring and applied the COBRA CLUTCH. Duggan did not submit but eventually passed out as the champion successfully defended his title…. This segment will appear on a future episode of AWF Championship Wrestling on ESPN
