I can’t be sold on this one.
Your whole fed history could look totally different playing by the rules.
Imagine how many Cups Castilex might have…
I have lots of long and impressive title reigns rolling the official way.
Way too much bias involved stealing PINs away from guys by rolling after they’ve been defeated.

Imagine winning the GCON Cup then your opponent calls for outside interference and you end up losing.
I’d flip the 24 hour taco bar over. 🌮 😡

I personally only roll for pin saves or a Distraction attempt after an otherwise successful PIN roll has occurred. I have found it often leads to better matches and it is not cheating as long as you are consistent in doing it that way for every match and for both sides in the match (not just the side you want to win.) EXACTLY!

Although it's up to you and it's your fed promoter, this is a topic where I'm entirely on board with Swarm. To me, just personally, it removes the magic of the game AND a lot of the creative challenge...but it ultimately is up to each person!

When I first played I always did it after a successful pin, when I came back in 2019 I played by the book. Now I do something in between lol. What I do now is when someone gets pinned, I roll one dice first. Then determine if I want to do a pin save or not. If the second dice hits the table I can no longer make a save.

So, I guess what this whole discussion boils down to - is this 'house rules' cheating and or 'playing wrong'? If the answer is yes, then who are you actually cheating? Yourself? Like Vegas said earlier in the thread, as long as you're doing the same thing consistently and for both sides, you're not favoring one side or another. So, if we throw out this 'house rule' because it's playing wrong and not the 'official' way to play, don't we need to throw out EVERY house rule? Is there anyone who doesn't use a house rule in some shape or form? Rolling DQs twice was a 'house rule' but somehow evolved to become the norm over the years. No house rules are ever used in tournaments at Galacticon, or any 'official' gathering, but we do roll DQs twice. Also, saying rolling 'after' takes away creativity, I whole heartedly disagree with but that's a discussion for another time.

Pin Saves before Distractions before Outside Interference before
I play the game as if I'm watching the matches live.

You are favoring one side because someone always loses first.
Now the opponent has to essentially win twice to win a match he just won.
If you’re rolling after again for outside interference, distractor ratings etc now this poor bastard has to win 3 or 4 times to win a match he won awhile ago.
And if you’re doing this back and forth between both wrestlers all match, it’s really just one big best out of 7 falls race to see who runs out of Get Out Of Jail Free cards first.
I like house rules, but this one involces way too much bending of the rules and altering history for me to get on board with.
I think anyone doing this should give strong consideration to doing it differently/officially when that EC set drops and people start their feds over from the beginning.
See what a difference it makes.
