I remember getting the two oldest for school and Alexandeia ready for daycare... I turned on the TV and saw the replay of the first plane hitting the twin towers! I thought it was a a movie or something on the military channel that was showing scenarios...and then I watched as the second one hit!
I was mortified and immediately picked up the phone to call some of my friends from the marine days that lived in Brooklyn Queens...couldn't get through...
After a fee moments, I immediately headed back to the bedroom and grabbed my DD214 and was going to reenlist in the Corps...wife was in tears from the Ordeal and simply stated that she didn't want to lose me and that if I reenlisted then grab divorce papers while I was out.
For days, Ft. Collins was creepy quiet...no one came out and work canceled until like the next week...it was so weird...it was a horrible day in World History (not just US History) and I am glad that the maniac in charge received a round in the forehead- ironically from a seal from New York City...IMHO there was no way that Bin Laden was going to trial- he was wanted dead plain and simple.
Onto other things, great review of Smoky Mountain..havent seen too much of it but what I seen of it- I was entertained.

Really enjoyed this episode. I haven't gotten this far in my SMW watch-thru but it was a lot of fun to hear Tim's experiences. Sounds like fan week would have been a ton of fun!

Nice show. Adequate. Okay, it wasn't awful. Seriously, fanfest seems like such a great thing to have been a part of. I agree that it really would not work as well these days. I think the young wrestlers of today would be appalled at the behavior of the fans who came of age in the attitude era and earlier, as opposed to back in the day when it was the opposite way around!  And Tim, the sales pitch finally got me. Although I am FAR from in need of covering the goods like many of the inner city sweathogs who listen I ordered my Uncharted shirt today.
