Nitro Wrestling 8.17 Shane Douglas and Jim Ross welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Savage for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Ross says there were some hiccups with the Florida office but things will be running smoothly again shortly. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Bad News Allen vs. Larry Sharpe Sharpe gets in some offense and hits a knee drop for a two count. Bad News tees off on Sharpe and hits a clothesline for the win.
Winner - Bad News Allen by pinfall
After the match, Bad News gets on the mic and says he’s winning the Ryder Cup this year so everyone else should stay home. Ross reminds the viewers that the Ryder Cup starts in just four weeks. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. The Crusher vs. George South The Crusher steamrolls South and hits the Crusher Bolo for the win.
Winner - The Crusher by pinfall
Ross says The Crusher could easily walk out with the Ryder Cup. Douglas introduces the next match.
3. Thunderbolt Patterson vs. Big Bully Busick Thunderbolt and Bully battle back and forth. Patterson hits the double chop to the neck for a two count. Thunderbolt nails Bully with the head butt for the win.
Winner - Thunderbolt Patterson by pinfall
Douglas says Thunderbolt shocked everyone when he won the Sandow Cup a few years ago and could do it again at the Ryder Cup. Ross introduces the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Savage - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match Savage dominates the early minutes of the match. Savage hits a double axe handle from the top to the floor. Savage mauls DiBiase and throws him back out of the ring. DiBiase makes a comeback and hits a fist drop for a two count. DiBiase drills Savage with the loaded glove but the referee catches him and calls for the bell.
Winner - Randy Savage by DQ.
DiBiase puts the boots to Savage after the match until security mobs the ring. Ross and Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week!

Nitro Wrestling 8.18 Shane Douglas and Jim Ross welcome the fans to the show. Ross announces that the main event will be a no disqualification match between Ted DiBiase and Randy Savage for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title!
1. Jim Londos vs. JJ Dillon Dillon unloads on Londos at the bell. JR reminds the viewers that Londos set the benchmark for a successful Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight champion at seven defenses and Ted DiBiase is currently at six. Londos turns it around and clamps on the Boston Crab. Dillon taps out.
Winner - Jim Londos by submission
Douglas says Londos is his pick to win the Ryder Cup in three weeks. JR introduces the next match.
2. Ken Shamrock vs. Scott Taylor Shamrock is in no mood for Taylor’s antics and nails him with a flying hip attack for a two count. Shamrock clamps on the Ankle Lock and Tyalor taps out.
Winner - Ken Shamrock by submission
JR says Shamrock isn’t called the World’s Most Dangerous Man for nothing. Douglas introduces the next match.
3. Johnny Valentine vs. Doug Gilbert Valentine hammers Gilbert to the mat and hits the Atomic Skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hits another Atomic Skullcrusher and locks on the sleeper but Gilbert is able to reach the ropes. Valentine hits a third atomic skullcrusher for the win.
Winner - Johnny Valentine by pinfall
Douglas says Valentine is the hardest hitter in the business. JR introduces the main event.
4. Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Savage - No DQ match for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title Savage tears into DiBiase at the bell. DiBiase rolls out of the ring to escape the onslaught and Savage mauls him on the outside. Savage throws DiBiase back into the ring. Savage mauls DiBiase and hits an axe handle from the top to the floor. DiBiase makes a comeback but can’t stop Savage. Savage is soon back in control. Savage goes to the top rope and DiBiase catches him with a power slam for a two count. Savage and DiBiase battle back and forth. DiBiase hits a full power slam for a two count. Savage catches DiBiase with a small package for a two count. Savage goes to the top and hits the flying elbow smash for a two count. Savage hits a second flying elbow smash for the win.
Winner - Randy Savage by pinfall. Savage is the new Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight champion!
JR and Shane Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week.

Nitro Wrestling 8.19 JR and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show. JR says Paul Orndorff has demanded a match with Ken Shamrock and Shamrock has agreed to fight him tonight! JR adds that a rematch between Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase has been signed for next week inside of a steel cage! Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Andrew Anderson vs. Larry Sharpe Anderson tears into Sharpe at the bell. Sharpe battles back and hits a piledriver for a two count. Anderson nails Sharpe with a foreign object and covers him for the three count.
Winner –Andrew Anderson by pinfall
Ross says Anderson won but is floundering now that Nikolai Volkoff is out of action. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Jim Londos vs. Chris Candido Londos takes Candido to the mat at the bell with a head scissors. Londos locks on the short arm scissors but Candido fights him off. Londos hits the fireman’s carry slam for the win.

Douglas says Londos is going to be tough to beat in the Ryder Cup tournament in two weeks. JR introduces the next match.
3. Hugh Morris vs. Tracy Smothers Smothers unloads on Morris and hits a flying body press for a two count. Smothers hits the jawjacker for a two count. Smothers hits a jumping wheel kick and covers Morris for a two count.Morris makes a comeback and hits a power bomb for a two count. Morris goes to the top and Smothers throws him to the mat. Smothers hits a moonsault for a two count. Smothers hits a slingshot dropkick for the win.

JR puts over Tracy Smothers. Douglas introduces the main event.
4. Paul Orndorff vs. Ken Shamrock Orndorff and Shamrock tear into each other at the bell. Shamrock takes Orndorff down with a rolling knee bar but Orndorff reaches the ropes. Orndorff mauls Shamrock on the outside and hits the jumping piledriver for a two count. Shamrock makes a comeback and hits the flying hip attack for a two count. Shamrock locks on the Ankle Lock but Orndorff fights his way to the ropes. Orndorff and Shamrock battle back and forth. Orndorff hits the piledriver on the concrete and Shamrock is counted out.

2. Blackjack Mulligan vs. Steven Keirn Mulligan mauls Keirn and hits a back elbow ram for a two count. Keirn tries mounting a comeback but Mulligan shuts him down and clamps on the Blackjack Claw. Keirn taps out.

3. Farmer Burns vs. JJ Dillon Dillon overpowers Burns at the bell and hits the ax-handle off the turnbuckle for a two count. Dillon whips Burns to the buckles and Burns rolls him up for a two count. Burns hits a flying mare for a two count. Dillon battles back and hits a leg drop for a two count. Burns makes a comeback and hits a Iowa Backdrop for a two count. Burns wears Dillon down with a grinding toehold. Dillon makes a comeback and hits an elbow drop for the win.

Ross says Burns might not be able to bounce back after a loss like that. Douglas introduces the main event.
4. Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase - steel cage match for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title DiBiase gets the upper hand at the bell. DiBiase slams Savage’s face into the cage and covers him for a two count. DiBIase hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBiase rakes Savage’s face against the cage and Savage is a bloody mess. DiBiase hits a neckbreaker drop for a two count. Savage fires up and hits a knee drop for a two count. Savage goes to the top rope, then to the top of the cage, and nails DiBiase with the flying elbow smash for the win.
Winner - Randy Savage by pinfall, his first title defense
Douglas and JR sign off, telling fans to tune in next week when the Ryder Cup kicks off!
