Shane Douglas and Jim Ross welcome the fans to first round Ryder Cup action and promise to let the action speak for itself. Shane Douglas points out LWF World Tag Team Champions Steve Williams and Terry Gordy sitting in the front row. Ross says they aren’t under contract with Nitro Wrestling so they’d better stay out of the action. Douglas introduces the first match.

1. Bad News Allen vs. Tracy Smothers
Bad News has the early advantage but Smothers bounces back and hits a jumping wheel kick for a two count. Smothers hits the jawjacker but can’t put Bad News away. Bad News makes a comeback and drills Smothers with a Ghetto Blaster but Smothers gets his foot on the ropes. Bad News hits a piledriver for a two count. Bad News and Smothers battle back and forth. Bad News hits another Ghetto Blaster for the win.

Winner - Bad News Allen by pinfall

2. Jim Londos vs. Big Bully Busick
Busick overpowers Londos at the bell. Busick locks on the stump puller but Londos fights his way out of the hold. Londos tries mounting some offense but Busick wears him down with a bear hug. Busick hits the Bully Blaster for a two count. Londos makes a comeback and clamps on the Boston Crab. Busick taps out.

Winner - Jim Londos by submission. Londos will face Bad News Allen in the second round

3. Brian Blair vs. Farmer Burns
Burns gets the early advantage and hits an Iowa Backdrop for a two count. Blair mounts some offense but Burns hits a flying mare for a two count. Blair and Burns grapple back and forth. Blair locks on the cobra clutch but Burns escapes the hold. Blair locks on the cobra clutch a second time and Burns taps out.

Winner - Brian Blair by pinfall

4. Paul Orndorff vs. Ken Shamrock
Shamrock gets the early advantage and unloads on Orndorff. Shamrock hits a belly to belly suplex for a two count. Orndorff turns it around and hits a jumping piledriver for a two count. Orndorff hits a second piledriver for the win.

Winner - Paul Orndorff by pinfall. Orndorff will face Brian Blair in the second round

Orndorff stares down Steve Williams after the match. Security gets between the two men. JR and Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week for more Ryder Cup first round action!

Ross says they bought tickets so there’s nothing Nitro Wrestling can do about it unless they attack someone. Douglas says that Farmer Burns has left the territory and Ken Shamrock is out with a neck injury. Douglas introduces the first match.

1. The Crusher vs. Hugh Morris
Morris and The Crusher battle back and forth. Morris hits a spinebuster for a two count. Morris hits No Laughing Matter for the win.

2. Johnny Valentine vs. Thunderbolt Patterson
Valentine and Patterson battle back and forth. Valentine hits a backbreaker for a two count. Valentine hits another backbreaker for a two count. Patterson makes a comeback but Valentine shuts him down and hits another backbreaker for a two count. Patterson makes a comeback and hits the double chop to the neck for a two count. Valentine is soon back in control and hits the Atomic Skullcrusher for the win.

Winner - Johnny Valentine by pinfall. Valentine will face Hugh Morris in round 2.

After the match, Valentine exchanges some words with Steve Williams and Terry Gordy but Williams and Gordy don’t take the bait.

3. Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Steve Keirn
Duggan and Keirn battle back and forth. Keirn hits a piledriver for a two count. Duggan bounces back and hits the tough guy clothesline for a two count. Keirn and Duggan battle back and forth. Duggan nails Keirn with the flying spear for a two count. Duggan hits another flying spear for the win.

Winner - Hacksaw Jim Duggan by pinfall

4. Ted DiBIase vs. Blackjack Mulligan
DiBiase and Mulligan battle back and forth. DiBiase wears Mulligan down with a figure four. DiBIase hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBIase locks on the figure four a second time but Mulligan won’t submit. DiBIase hits a full power slam for a two count. DiBiase hits another full power slam for the win.

Winner - Ted DiBiase by pinfall. DiBiase will face Hacksaw Jim Duggan in round 2.

DiBiase sneers at Gordy and Williams as he heads to the back. JR and Shane Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week for the second round of the Ryder Cup.

Plenty of quotes on his card. I usually use the quote that goes along with whatever I roll on his chart.

Bad News clobbers Londos with a Ghetto Blaster and Londos barely gets his foot on the ropes before the three count. Bad News hits another Ghetto Blaster for the win.

2. Brian Blair vs. Paul Orndorff
Orndorff and Blair battle back and forth. Blair gets some momentum going and goes to the top rope but Orndorff throws him to the mat. Orndorff mauls Blair on the floor and Blair is counted out.

3. Hugh Morris vs. Johnny Valentine
Valentine flattens Morris with a back suplex and hits the atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hits another atomic skullcrusher for the win.

DiBiase locks on the figure four but Duggan fights his way to the ropes. DiBiase wears Duggan down with a sleeper. DiBiase hits a full power slam but Duggan kicks out! DiBiase takes Duggan down and locks on the figure four. Duggan taps out.

Winner - Ted DiBiase by submission. DiBiase will face Johnny Valentine in the third round

DiBIase gets in Steve Williams’ face as he leaves the ring but security gets between the two men. JR and Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week for the third round and finals of the Ryder Cup.
